AllCare Primary & Immediate Care - Their false advertising stating both "Imediate Care," and "Walk-ins Welcome."

FALSE ADVERTISING, REAL ATTITUDE -- STAY AWAY! Urgent Care Without the Urgent -- or the Care…read more AllCare Primary & Immediate Care on Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda proudly advertises "Immediate Care" and "Walk-ins Welcome" in big white letters on a red background. It's even in their NAME! That's a bold claim--and a completely false one. I went there because I was genuinely sick and needed to be seen--exactly why urgent care clinics exist. I sat there for nearly an hour filling out forms and handing over samples, only to be told at the very end that I should "come back at 5:30," more than 3 hours from the time I walked-in. If I could wait two more hours, I wouldn't have gone to a place advertising urgent care. What made it worse was that the waiting room never had more than two people in it, yet I was told they were somehow "fully booked." Then, magically, there was a "glitch" with my insurance--something that has never happened to me anywhere else. I calmly asked one simple question: how long until I can be seen? Instead of an answer, a little man with a full-blown Napoleon complex marched out and immediately escalated things--talking down to me from below, and acting like authority mattered more than actually helping a sick person. It felt less like healthcare and more like a power trip run by a healthcare tyrant. The end result: they simply refused to see me at all. This place is chaotic, misleading, and deeply unprofessional. I can't speak to the medical care, because I never received any--but if the doctors are anything like the front office, that's all the more reason to stay away. If you're sick and actually need timely care, go somewhere that means it when it says "immediate." If you need an urgent care in Bethesda, try MedSTAR Health Urgent Care, 4507 Stanford St, Chevy Chase. You will notice the stark difference in professionalism from the moment you walk in the door.

The nurse took my vitals and then told me to give a urine sample; I had to tell her that this was not a urine test. Then at 11:15, 45 minutes after my appointment and 2 hours after I called to make the appointment, they told me all their test kits that I needed were expired and that I should go to the other Medics USA. They claimed they would call that location to let them know I was coming, but as far as I could tell that did no good, as I still waited over 90 minutes at the second location (where service was even worse, will write a separate review).

I really cannot stand this doctors office but the only reason I've continued to come back is…read morebecause it's right down the street from my house and I haven't yet found a new primary. I can count on every time I come in getting seen at least 45 minutes after my appointment time despite the place never appearing busy. The male nurse does not know how to take blood properly and not only hit a nerve causing my whole arm to become sore (which never happens if taken properly), but I became extremely sick and light headed because of that and because it was so hot in the office. After I was left with a huge bruise on my arm. The male doctor (I'm bad with names) is one of those doctors that start by naming all the most serious conditions that could possibly be related to your issue first to freak you out and then ends with "or it could be a lab error or fluke". Says you need to come back so he can run a full battery of tests, but then when you do he claims the issue is actually not remotely related to what he originally freaked you out about in the first place. In my case it went from you could possibly have Hepititus C to "Oh it's because you're drinking too much vegan protein powder", but let's take more blood to confirm. All in all I wouldn't recommend this place unless you are in dire need or have no other options.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME -- GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!…read more All Care urgent care on Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda advertises "Immediate Care" and "Walk-ins Welcome" on the outside of their building in white lettering on a red background. That's a lot of attention to draw to a claim that's NOT true. I went there because I was sick and needed care--like anyone who chooses an urgent care clinic. I spent nearly an hour filling out registration paperwork and providing medical samples. When I was almost finished, the receptionist casually asked if I wanted to come back in two hours. Of course I said no--if I could wait two hours, I wouldn't be at an "urgent" care. There were 2 patients in the wait area the entire hour plus that I was there, but they were "booked." Then I was told there was suddenly a "glitch" with my insurance--something I have never experienced anywhere else. I calmly asked one basic question: how long until I could be seen? Instead of a clear answer, a little man, with an apparent Napoleon complex, came out and immediately escalated the situation--speaking down to me from below, posturing, and acting as though authority itself was the point. The interaction felt less like healthcare and more like a power trip, after which I was simply told they would not see me at all. This place is disorganized, misleading, and deeply unprofessional. I can't speak to the medical care, since I did not get any, but if the doctors are as bad as their front office help, it's an even better reason to avoid the place. If you are sick and actually need timely care, do yourself a favor and go somewhere that means what it says when it claims to offer "immediate" care.

Online appointments were easy and convenient. It's a lot easier than trying to make an appointment…read morewith my doctor's office. I came in for a non-Covid vaccination. Check-in was a bit long. You check-in at the kiosk but there are many pages to enter information. I'm hoping since this was the first time that I used a Minute Clinic, I would not have to enter my information again when I return for another visit. Please note that the online appointments do not ask what vaccine you are getting unless you are getting a Covid-19 vaccine. I called the day before my appointment to verify that the vaccine that I wanted was actually available. The pharmacist was very helpful (though it was a rather long wait on the phone for someone to answer). You should also note that CVS and Minute Clinic are two different entities. The pharmacist wanted me to make sure that my insurance covers either CVS and/or Minute Clinic. It's been a while since I visited this particular CVS on Rockville Pike but it has changed. The back of the store has both the pharmacy and now an optical center. I was very impressed with the openness of the area. The store just looked bright with lots of good lighting.
