I was required to get a TB test for my new coaching job. This location has set a new standard for disappointment. I was able to get my initial test completed, which I then had to come back for 48 hours to get results. I waited about an hour for my scheduled follow up appointment for nobody to come and help. Since then, I have had to schedule a brand new test as results expire 72 hours after the initial. I just went in for once again another schedule appointment to be told that they were closed for the day whereas I booked an appointment online. My primary MD was booked up, so came here for international Travel vaccinations and meds. Glad I did. Super convenient! Made appt on website, and booked a Travel appointment. Arrived 10 minutes before appointment and checked-in on App. Waiting room was empty. Clean and spacious. NP Jennifer is super nice. We went over the countries I was traveling to and she looked up CDC guidance. She gave me my vaccinations and sent my meds to the pharmacy. Only charge I had was a vaccine administration fee. Had a head cold and wanted to get tested for Covid prior to returning to work. Made an appointment with CVS online for today at 8:30 AM. Received text and email reminders of appointment and a code to check in. When I arrive there is a large sign at front door saying " No covid testing inside, follow signs to rear of store". I walked around store and saw signs indicating it was a drive through test site. Went back to get my car and drove around and parked where indicated. A Women came out and asked to check my confirmation code. She checked and said I was supposed to be inside store at minute clinic. Went in to clinic and nurse or technician came out to ask if I was here for covid test. I said yes and she said we're all out and have been for two weeks. I asked why the system had allowed me to make appointment and why it was confirmed twice by text and once by email in 24 hours? She told me she tried to call me this morning but it went to voice mail. I have no missed call and no voice mail. I asked about the sign saying NO Covid tests in store and she said I know it's dumb. Nurse asked why I wanted test and after explaining she said the one I want is the antibody test outside. I asked How do I make an appointment fir outside? Her reply was to go online to CVS web site. That's how I made this one and was not given options. I like CVS and minute clinic but there handling of covid tests are terrible. Suggest you go elsewhere if that's what you need. read more

HORRIBLE. I had a 3 pm appointment and check-in was fine. However when I met with the overweight blonde "doctor/nurse?" she was incredibly rude and unhelpful. CVS didn't accept my insurance, so I said "no problem, I will gladly pay out of pocket." She refused this and said she couldn't help me and hinted I obviously couldn't afford to pay out of pocket because I currently have Molina healthcare (to cover me this month before I start my new job). First of all, I'm a part of Molina Marketplace and my insurance isn't cheap (not that I care, or that it matters!). I told her this and she legitimately said (in the most condescending way) "well it's not $1,200 a month is it?!" I have never experienced anything like this in my life. I felt bullied and felt that her accusing me of not being able to afford it is incredibly inappropriate and is something I've never dealt with before. I honestly just needed a simple strep test so I could be prescribed antibiotics and I told her that as well as the fact I was in a lot of pain. Despite this, she refused and told me I had to leave. I literally broke into tears in the office because I was so frustrated at this problem with such a simple solution. She didn't show the least bit of sympathy though and just stared at her computer. I would steer CLEAR of this location. UNLESS that lady is fired. On the plus side, the young Asian man, who helps out near the minute clinic was very nice and helpful. So maybe there is hope if they get rid of the horrible health practitioner I had the displeasure of meeting with. read more

I got there checked in & was called in to see dr. In under 5 min & both women working there were very nice & great at their jobs! It was a pleasure (esp when not feeling well) to have such a positive experience in a timely manner. Additionally, the medication was ready at the pharmacy within 30 min. NEVER go here. I just had a visit with Ryan Thebo NP for my ear ache. It's been hurting for over a week. (Let's just say I've never had an ear ache as an adult either!) I also have a deep chest cough as well as post nasal drip. He said my ear was a blocked eustachian tube and antibiotics would not help. He wrote to perform exercises to blow out the blockage 10x's a day. Seriously! For the cough he wrote to take Flonase. Really? How does Flonase help a cough? My cough is coming from my chest area, not my nose and throat area. My ear is still hurting. Anyway, I'm totally disappointed in this visit. I paid 139usd and feel like my needs were not met. (I do not have insurance at this time so every penny counts)! read more

The registration system here is inaccurate and misleading. I checked in and I was the next person in line and the system told me it would be seven minutes. Then the system made an adjustment to 18 minutes after I had been waiting about 10 minutes. I ended up waiting over an hour and a half. read more

This place is an absolute nightmare and joke in regards to getting in on time. Signed up online, still ended waiting 2 hours since their scheduling system is A JOKE. Lunch times not calculated do even if you show up right before your appointment, get ready for a two hour wait. Read the other reviews and do not give this mess of a clinic your business. HORRIBLE. Wish I could choose no stars. I was five minutes late for my appointment. Checking in at the kiosk, there is lots of information to fill out and as I was rushing through the info knowing I was late, I ran into a glitch where for whatever reason, the screen wouldn't switch to the next screen. I kept pushing the arrow and nothing, so I exited out thinking the system needed to reset. When I went back in, after spending ten minutes on the previous check in due to the glitch, it said my confirmation code had expired. This was extremely frustrating but I thought if I would wait and talk to a human versus getting upset with a computer, the human would be kind and understanding of my situation. WRONG. The human was even worse. Upon explaining my situation and what happened, the nurse, a blonde woman with glasses, showed no care, ABSOLUTELY NONE. Rather, she took a condescending and defensive tone with me, calling me out for being late, saying I walked up 11 minutes past my appointment time and the cut-off was 10 minutes. I reasoned with her about the system glitch, but she said I was a liar, and that I missed it by 1 minute. Nothing she could do. She showed no empathy, no concern and was extremely rude and inhuman about my situation. I will never step foot in not just that minute clinic, but that CVS store location again. read more

I agree I should of looked on yelp before going. 21/2 hour wait and finally saw a doctor or nurse? She spent more time on the computer then helping me with my ear infection. No drops for pain, no pain pills just antibiotics. This was Friday and I'm still in pain! $90.00 charge I should of paid the full pop and went to my doctor. Saturday Morning primary care provider office closed lets give CVS-Minute Clinic a try. First to arrive for the day after signing on the computer I was seen promptly. No long explanation about my symptoms seriously they don't care quick yes or no questions all business plus other patients are waiting, this is "minute" clinical after all and I am not their only patient. My problem 8 days fevers, nasal discharge, sinus pain, and now pink eye. Treated appropriately, quickly, and professionally all pertinent health questions answered. Mitra FNP and FNP Student from San Marcos where great will be coming back for any mild/minor health concerns. Bonus they are Sharp Healthcare Affiliated so they sent over my visit information to my primary care provider. Having a student is always a plus and speeds things up too! Good Job! read more

I showed up at 5:15 on Labor Day Sunday and the woman working refused to help me even though no one was waiting. Very upsetting as I needed a simple prescription for a UTI. She was more interested in leaving for the day (they close at 5:30) than helping a customer who needed assistance during their office hours. read more

Went to website to locate minute clinic in the area. Pharmacy doesn't open until 10am. Doctor was very nice however the prescription was not ready at pickup. You would think the computer system would have it automatically filled. Wait times were not convenient. If you feel sick I highly recommend not going to wait. read more

Being a minute clinic..I didn't expect much but I was pleasantly surprised. I was seen 10 min after my appointment time. I was greeted politely. The Nurse practitioner was very professional and efficient. She was very nice, informative and engaging. I would certainly return!! read more

Went in at 420pm to get my TB test ready- a procedure that takes about one second to check and about 30 seconds to document. Checked in with the nurse (Suzanne L.- I have the entire name written down) and was told "hopefully I will have time." No definitive answer was given on whether we should wait around to get the PPD test read. Remember it takes less than a minute to check and document a PPD test. On top of her being rude and dismissive initially, Suzanne continued her negative attitude once she decided to read the PPD result. At 515 she decided she had time but she let it be known that we were completely inconveniencing her. There was not one instance of her being precessional, courteous, or pleasant. Here are a few additional quotes: "I am supposed to be off soon and you people always do this. You're like the 3rd person that's put me in this situation. You people can't wait until the last minute." After all this I apologized, which prompted no verbal response just a lot of huffing and puffing. It was a truly weird and painful experience. I'll just make an appointment with my primary next time. read more

Went in for a work required TB test....4 years ago the cost was $20.00... after waiting an hour and a half the test was $35.00....no mention was made to me regarding the "read would be an additional $29.00....I found our about this after waiting an additional hour and a half....Why are prices not indicated when signing in....? I will NEVER consider a "minute" clinic again....This was a total ripoff of my time and money....This place is no better than the Jerk who raised needed drug prices thousands for a single pill...I'll bet the management of CVS will never respond to my complaint because "THEY DON'T REALLY CARE....! read more

We are in Del Mar from out of town and my 3 year old started complaining of ear pain. I looked online to find this Minute Clinic and raced there, as the website warns that patients must be checked in 15 minutes before closing (6:30pm weekday). We arrived and I was able to check her in, only to have the nurse tell me it was too late, they were closed. I explained the website advertised they close at 6:30, to which she snorted, "Yeah, that's like when we are outta here. We don't stay late to take care of patients." I was a little caught off guard and determined to have my daughter be seen (I already knew she was going to have an ear infection) so I reminded her the website also says the patient needs to be checked in 15 minutes prior to closing and we were. I showed her on my phone, it was 6:14 and we were there, already checked in. She looked at a clock on the wall and told me their clock said 6:16 and that's what they go off of. She also told me the clock was set by corporate and the computer wouldn't even let us sign in. Again, I was surprised because my phone's time is determined by satellite and the computer HAD already let us check my daughter in. As I argued this point, another woman in a white coat appeared. She smiled and suggested we go to another Minute Clinic in a hurry, so we didn't miss the cut off time at the next one (20 minutes away). She called over to the other clinic to confirm they only had one patient, so if we hurried we had a chance at being seen. I left there dumbfounded. I cannot imagine a medical professional in such a hurry to go home, with no patients in either room, that would send an already checked in 3 year old to another clinic, 16 minutes before closing and do it all with a smile. We ended up going to the Minute Clinic on Rancho Santa Fe Road (all of my other Minute Clinic experiences have been great, and they send records of visits to our pediatrician at home, so I stuck with them-despite this). The other clinic was great and I'll review them separately. We were in and out in 15 minutes. Poor baby had a double ear infection. It was just completely unnecessary to go somewhere else when she could have been treated at the first location and still be done in time for their staff to be "outta there." If I didn't know my daughter had an ear infection, I wouldn't have pressed for them to see her, as I wouldn't have trusted their diagnosis anyway. This location not care about patients. Call me old school, but their work ethics stink. read more

Overall care was fine. The person who saw me after an hour plus wait kept referring to her phone for clarification of pharmaceuticals and other medical terms. Clearly I have more of a medical background than she did. Most of my visit was covering information that had nothing to do with why I was there. I suggested past treatments that were successful yet she had to interrupt the "Doctor" next door to get her approval. No, I did not get what I requested. What she did prescribe gives me further complications, which required yet another prescription. What a scam. She was a nice woman, well under trained, asking questions unrelated. In our conversation I learned she had only been in SD a few months and as we parted she wished me "God Bless You". Um, I'm atheist. I suppose I should appreciate the kind words but don't they teach about different cultures and religions in school? Then, as other posts have suggested, another wait for my now 2 prescriptions. I'll find another UC or see if I can get in to my PC same day. Waisted time and money. read more
