She also took the time to walk my daughter through the proper technique for using them. What made it even more special was that Angela wasn't even assigned to my daughter's case. Her attentiveness and care truly made a difference. Thank you, Angela!

This place is down the road, I have issues driving long distances (I also have a disability) so I figured I could get this test done and out of the way and not have to waste money and time going further away. When I made my appointment I called to check that they would do an EKG and a test they can do. I was assured yes they do them all the time. I ended up rescheduling to come in earlier and took time off work. When I arrived the lobby was dirty and the furniture was dirty and had rips and marks on it. First sign I should have left. The staff were not friendly and seemed disappointed they were there which was also a red flag I ignored. Then they asked me to pay $199 then $120 after the EKG. I thought this was the most confusing thing, I have been to urgent cares before and health centers and have never done that. But then they start asking why I need it. First, not sure why it matters, or why it was their business, I am going to pay for it I don't have insurance. My provider even said it shouldn't be a big deal I could get one anywhere. So I pay the $199 and wait another 10min after waiting 20min already. Then they brought me back, took by BP and asked me a few questions and then brought me into an exam room where I waited almost 30 minutes before someone came in to say "I'm sorry my Operations Manager said we can't do this because if we do it wrong we don't want to be liable" her exact explanation. ??? Then she tells me they can't refund me, but then when I got visibly upset and started crying she got flustered and was like well I can't refund you right now but maybe later. What do you mean??? Incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional situation. RUN FAR FROM THIS PLACE AND THE PEOPLE WHO WORK HERE. THEY ARE ACTUALLY STEALING PATIENTS MONEY AND CONNING THEM. Go somewhere else save your money. Go to an actual doctor or clinic. Not only did this whole disaster occur but the place was filthy, there was like no one in back working there which I thought was also odd. It seemed like they themselves felt inconvenienced that I made an appointment to have this done because about 15 minutes into waiting in the exam room they came in to say "this is going to cost $129" like what? I said yeah, okay I thought we went over that even though now it's gone up an additional $9 (maybe I heard wrong). She looked disappointed and I continued to wait. They charged me for an appointment I never had. They didn't do anything and I never even saw a doctor I don't think they even have one there. Like how unprofessional, you could've at least had a doctor perform a checkup if you were going to charge me $199 just to walk through the door. Pretty sure this place is a front for something else. So bizarre and disgusting.

I had a fall the day prior and concerned I may have experienced a hairline fracture. From the moment I arrived, I was immediately checked in, triaged and x-rayed. My longest wait was to be seen. Yet, even then my wait was probably all of 15 min. More than likely I picked a slow night but not attempting reason for another visit anytime soon...haha... Overall, between the moment of check-in to check-out the staff were kind, caring and supportive. The only thing that stinks is paid parking. All small price to pay for the prompt and expedient service!

Dear Torrey Pines Urgent Care Staff,…read more Thank you for your message and for the care you provided during my recent visit. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to your team. The staff were professional, attentive, and very helpful, which I truly value--especially during a time when I was dealing with post-surgical discomfort. At the same time, I would like to respectfully share a concern regarding patient comfort. As someone who is still recovering from spine surgery, I found it very difficult to remain seated upright while waiting. I understand that wait times are part of urgent care services; however, having a few reclining or more supportive seating options for patients in significant pain or post-surgery recovery could make a meaningful difference. I offer this feedback with respect and appreciation, and in the spirit of helping enhance the patient experience for others in similar situations. Thank you again for your care and dedication to your patients. Respectfully, Tony

All the staff are incredibly genuinely friendly, not that fake friendly and they were very surprisingly down to earth as well. The check-in process was simple, quick no complicated paperwork. Receptionist was efficient and the business was pristine as far as cleanliness. It was a night and day difference versus waiting six hours or longer in the emergency room with 20 other illness ridden people that are waiting to be triage and watching my pass by. If this place is a covered provider through your insurance I would highly recommend stopping by here before you suffer through long waits in the ER. I was treated for a hand injury so the nurse administered a shot of Cortizone and run up a couple prescriptions and it was all pretty much a cakewalk, [**only minus the free cake!! = BUMMER . Please keep in mind that this is an urgent care in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Claremont so I would expect to wait several hours time if you are going at six in the evening or if it's a weekend or holiday. I'd recommend just grabbing some food a good book or your headphones And be ready to have a chance to chill and watch a movie on your phone before actually getting to see a practitioner. That being said overall five stars earned five stars gained GOOD JOB!!! Special sidenote: I have been going to major surgery due to a bike wreck and I've been having total teeth replacement surgery for the past year and some change. I've also been dealing with ongoing issues with my hands but this led me to have to visit the ER on NINE separate occasions These 9 separate visits have adforded me the chance to meet with all sorts of medical providers over the past 13 months. That being said, the physician assistant who treated me at THIS PARTICULAR urgent care really deserves special accolades for the thorough and impressive job she did his doing an absolutely impeccable job as far as Her efficiency in treating me as a patient. Physician's Assistant GABRIELLE SIBILIA you were definitely get a shout out for me because you put so much heart into what was just a brief visit with me however you really left quite an impression on me because of how seriously you took your job and how good you are at it point blank. For me to review my medical district paperwork to find out that you weren't a treaty position made me laugh because I guess I shouldn't have been surprised since you were not in fact the doctor yet you were also a woman to under represented population of people that are more likely to be seen as less relevant than a treating position particularly one it is male. That being said you will all those other bitches and Brose out of the water with flying colors With your thoroughness, attention detail, and level skill effectively I'll address a multitude of different issues I can and have to mention during our visit. You didn't abide by the textbook "you can only choose one "thing that loss the ER in urgent care is constantly view despite they're not being a rule against treating more than one specific physical ailment And except for that reason you must definitely earned major points in my book and so I put in a little bit more effort and recognizing you for your hard work and I hope that you can give yourself a pat on the back because you kick out. You are shiny example of How short sided are decided to be however at the end of the day you impress the heck outof me - if that's worth anything!! I appreciate the time and attention you talk the treat me and the brief time that we spent together because you really helped renew my faith in healthcare as a whole Because it's so much more than just treating an ailment it's about treating the patient as a person and that's what you did so thank you for that.

They simply had us fill out a form, ran my information through the system using my social, and everything was already there. I brought my son in immediately after he got a busted lip during baseball practice because I wanted to make sure he was okay. There was only one patient waiting ahead of us, yet it still took over an hour before we were finally attended to. After they called us in to take my son's vitals and brought us into a room, we had to wait again for quite a while before the doctor came in. The wait time was extremely long considering the clinic was not busy at all. They only gave my son one pill of ibuprofen for pain relief and that was basically it. We had to go to the CVS right after to buy more. Some urgent care clinics provide it on-site. Overall, the biggest issue was the excessive waiting time. It was frustrating to wait that long when there's literally no other clients but only us.

Marque Urgent Care - Breakdown in Basic Patient Care Follow-Through…read more I was treated at Marque Urgent Care for a respiratory illness and the provider prescribed cough medication to be filled at the VA Hospital in La Jolla. The VA informed Marque that the specific cough medication prescribed was not available in the VA pharmacy formulary. The VA then provided a list of alternative medications available through the VA pharmacy and asked Marque to select one so the prescription could be issued. Marque never responded to the VA. As a result, the prescription could not be updated and I was left without the medication while sick. I called the Grosvenor location at 9:00 AM to resolve the issue. The staff member told me there was no supervisor available and that I could not speak with anyone in charge. I was told someone would call me back before 5:00 PM. No one called. This situation reflects a failure of basic patient care coordination and accountability. When a hospital contacts a prescribing clinic requesting a medication substitution, a competent provider responds promptly so the patient can obtain treatment. That did not happen here. Patients who expect reliable follow-through and communication should consider seeking care elsewhere.

I told the lady at the front desk that I felt like I was having a heart attack. She immediately brought me back and 3-5 people jumped in and worked on me. They immediately called an ambulance for me to be rushed to the hospital. It wasn't a heart attack but it was an arrhythmia. Normal heart rate is 60-100 bpm, my heart was at 240 bpm!!! That was terrifying. When I was at the hospital, the doc and cardiologist said it was good I went to urgent care when I did bc they were able to get my vitals and heart scans to quickly determine it was SVT. I want to say a huge THANK YOU to the ladies at AFC. If it wasn't for your quick action and quick assessment, I don't know what would've happened. The hospital might not have received the info to determine it was SVT. I am in treatment now and recovered fully with a preventative plan. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!!!!!

The website was easy to navigate with the option to walk-in or schedule an appointment. I opted to schedule an appointment in two hours. The appointment scheduling system was a breeze and very user friendly. I saved a bunch of time uploading my Driver's License, Insurance Card and filling out all my information. I received text and email updates. I arrived 30 minutes before my appointment and the receptionist was friendly and checked me in, even though there was a QR code to scan for self-check. The waiting room was 75% full, so I opted to sit near the door one seat away from other patients on either side. While waiting there was a steady flow of patients coming and going. What I disliked was when a new patient sat right next to me when there was a row of three empty seats. I feel like it's just good manners to sit far apart when possible. Nurse Ashley took me back to check my vitals 8 minutes after my schedule appointment. Instead of measuring my height and weight she asked me. She did take my blood pressure, pulse and temperature. She brought me back to wait in a treatment room. After 15-20 minutes she came back to inform me that I will be seen by a provider shortly and thank you for waiting. I made myself comfy in the armchair. It was probably another 30 minutes before Dr. MacKenzie came in. She asked a few questions, took a look at me, gave me her diagnosis but wanted a second opinion and asked me to wait a little longer. Another doctor came in, asked some questions, looked at me and felt my eyes, gave the same diagnosis and departed. Dr. MacKenzie explained the diagnosis, prescribed a steroid, antihistamine and topic ointment. These were all ready for me before I arrived at my preferred pharmacy. What I appreciated the most was her level of care. I respected that she took time to get a second opinion and thoroughly explained everything to me and answered all my questions. While it's never fun to go to the hospital, she eased my anxiety for sure. I highly recommend this location for urgent care needs and hope that you are lucky to get Dr. MacKenzie.
