That being said, everyone was so great. Everyone cared about the fact my hand was bleeding and everyone was transparent about the delays caused by the new systems and my perpetual bad timing. I think people need to be realistic about these places that offer diverse and numerous services and to anticipate with patience the functional delays that come with all of that. If this is your neighborhood FastMed or urgent care, let it be just that. The amazing guy who irrigated my cut had X-ray tech on his badge but he's also certified and qualified to do exactly what I needed him to do. My doc was great to stitch me up while telling me crazy stores about his kiddos. The front staff was trying the best they could to get everyone in, and to see if I needed anything and to make sure I was good to go before and after my "laceration repair" so... I dug this place. I used a different FastMed last week for covid rapid test and they were also great. I appreciate the staff there. All of them. The doctor was extremely personable and so was the rest of the staff, everyone we communicated was very nice. This is the first time I've had an incredible experience at an urgent care. I've never seen one so well kept so that actually surprised me. 10/10 experience.

It was easy to sign up for an appointment, I completed all paperwork online, checked in easily, then waited 45 minutes after my appointment time to be taken back. Tuesday midday and Walmart said they had sent the request to my doctor's office and hadn't received a response. I called Dr. Allen's office and got through to Lori. She told me Walmart, contrary to what they told me, hadn't sent any requests. She immediately forwarded the script to them. She said this wasn't the first time they had similar instances happen with other patients and Walmart. I should know. She said that Walmart often gets backlogged with requests and it's easier for them to say to customers the doctor's office did not acknowledge their request than to explain they're backlogged. Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to help Lori.

All of my kids have visited around flu season a few times, and I tend to have chronic issues with back and neck. The good staff will look at my record and kind of speed through the process based on my history. The crappy staff won't bother and then they'll ask a bunch unnecessary questions and even question symptoms as though they don't believe the patient. It can get weird. Just stay calm and resilient and firm in your responses in those cases. Ex: Once my son messed up his leg pretty bad and they wouldn't give him crutches. We just went back the next day and they gave us crutches. So that's a perfect example of how it is there. Most of the staff give a sh*t and also want your visit to go smoothly and quickly. But every now and then you'll get staff who are adversarial. Ultimately, they are close to our home and they are open when we need them. Overall I trust their services.

Today Dec 2nd I found out my referral from here was NEVER SENT to banner imaging... I'm seeing several complaints here about the "Banner Health Clinic: Neurology in Greeley". I hope…read morethe information I've received from my family is inaccurate. But as far as I can tell, this clinic reported my dad to the DMV as not being able to drive and diagnosed him with dementia. I do not disagree on their action with my dad's driving. I know they have a legal obligation to report people they are concerned of being a danger to themselves or others. However, it seems that they dropped the ball there. Again, they had ordered some tests through radiology and apparently my family didn't get the right tests done. From what I understand, Banner Health didn't communicate directly with radiology and was disappointed when they came back with no brain tests. I just tried calling the office to get or give information and the other person would not budge either way. I understand that HIPPA prevents them from giving information to me but even in lawyers' offices, they will receive information. I am living outside of the US and have limited functionality on calling apps that allow me to call the US so I am not able to do a three-way call directly so my dad can give them permission to speak with me. My dad doesn't want to go back after the way he was treated (which I acknowledge may not be 100% as far as his perception) but my mom and brother get the same vibe that this clinic doesn't want to deal with him and they won't even take action on making a referral so they won't have to deal with one of their patients. It seems that the medical field is changing from a place of compassion for the sick to a legal entity that is more hard-nosed than the legal industry itself. Most places would give general information (i.e. law offices, DMV) etc. But I couldn't even get that here. I hope this is just a big misunderstanding that can be resolved by staff taking action and not just waiting for the patient to call.
