There are some oddities you'll need to note when I first paid for gas with my debit. Yes, this is dangerous at other locations so be wary of card skimmers attached to the gas pump. My own debit transaction got canceled due to this gas stop being commonly for truckers or other high-capacity fuel tankers, so I couldn't afford the minimum debit hold that my bank used, which holds beyond $100. Instead, they recommended I transact as credit and sure enough, I could. There I was, hours later, when my car was unable to start and my child and I were mired. Instead of feeling alien to them because we were in a corporate store, I felt more at home and even warm to hang out. It'd be like the movie Clerks if it were less absurd and more like a family. Julie and her teammates made sure to answer questions I had, and Julie even checked in with my child with a bit of entertainment. I have never had this quality of warmth and service at a gas station convenience store, even with my children--I know because before my car had broken down, we were inside just looking at things to purchase before "resuming our trip" and they were warm then as well. Before I left, I made sure to let them know that this store had to be doing something right for Sunoco and the local populace. I saw another review from someone who wrote it in French, so perhaps Quebequois or other international travelers appreciate this Sunoco. I felt similarly when I saw they had a chocolate wafer cone that attracted my attention and was from Dubai. I hope that you have the same experience I had--not of your car breaking down and wishing this Sunoco had an attached hotel or lounge. Instead, I felt like a local who was part of the community, and I think that's because this station has kept quality staff who keeps the spirits of this place alive. Even if they change the inside, outside, or the sign, it's the wisdom and heart of the people who make sure it's warm for travelers that get you stopping here, and not at the Shell across the street. Thank you.

After being closed for over 6 months for major clean-up & new tanks (that don't leak) they finally…read morereopened. I figured they could use the money so I started going here instead of the Irving that's been getting our money for the past 6+ months just a few miles east on 101. The first time back I realized just how poorly their pumps were spaced. Between the building & the pumps, there is room for one car but there are two pumps, so if you pull in & someone is at the other pump, whoever is done first has to back up. On the westbound side of the gas station people pull in randomly to park & go into the convenience store because there are no lines on the pavement indicating parking spots so backing up can be hinky, watching out for randomly parked cars & their drivers walking into the convenience store. Second time back I pulled into one of the open pumps next to the building - out of order. SERIOUSLY?? They've been open for less than a month & they ALREADY have a broken pump?? *SIGH* Back up since the spot in front of me was taken by a car PARKED at the pump, pull up behind a pick up truck in the center. There's two gas pumps and a diesel pump in between them. The pick up truck was a diesel so parked directly next to the diesel pump he was blocking BOTH gas pumps - he could have pulled up a few feet & still reach the diesel so that I could have reached the gas pump behind him but he didn't. Some gas stations have extra-long hoses if the pumps are placed awkwardly like this one so that cars can get gas!! But this one doesn't. And a cop was parked at the outside (street-side) of the pump bay blocking those two pumps & there's no space to go around without pulling back onto Route 101 so I would have had to back up AGAIN being careful to avoid the three randomly parked cars behind me, turn around with very little room, & back into the only open pump isle. By this time the car parked at the pump next to the building was gone so I pulled in there. Tried to pay by debit but the buttons were covered by electrical tape so I paid credit. When I was done pumping I tried to hit "no" for no receipt but the button was broken. SERIOUSLY?? I just drove off. There should NOT be so many issues simply pumping gas!! I have actual real things in my life that need my focus. Getting gas should not be such a pain. If they wanted business they should have put much more thought into the layout of their pumps in relation to each other, the building, & the road. I will be saving myself the annoyance & heading a few miles down the road to Irving from now on.

I didn't ask for my situation and felt like I was being put on display because I don't have a lot of extra money at the moment. do better. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
