We have been bringing our sweet girl to Highland pet resort since we moved here 1.5 years ago. We…read morelove this place and had never any issues. Our dog loves this place and is always so excited to go there. They always check everything when we get there, shot records, food, snacks, supplement and then we bring a bed , toys, blanket, leash. They even ask if she already ate. They always let me know when her next shot is due. Chris and his wife are always on top of everything, I can't say any other way. Also the girls what walk the dogs, I am assuming volunteers they always so so nice and love the animal. Top place I would definitely recommend!!

I give Highlands Pet Resort 4 Stars, but considered dropping to a 2 or 3. I hope this is read by…read morethe owners. The facility is in a beautiful setting. It is clean and well cared for. The two guys I met are just great - they love dogs, very friendly and just the type of folks you feel safe and confident with when leaving your dog. They treated my dog very well and as any dog owner can tell you - you know immediately from your pet's reaction that you are dealing with genuine love for dogs. I don't know what (if anything) happened. I am also not a vet and cannot say for sure about cause and effect, but I know my 3 year old Lab very well and know what works and what does not work. When we arrived we had two packs of our dog's food. The guy who received her seemed somewhat surprised that we were bringing food. We picked up our dog at 7pm. By the time we got home, our pet began with severe diarrhea. She kept us up half the night and needed to go out frequently. At one point she was unable to control herself forcing a house cleaning at 2am. The problem lasted until the morning when her digestive system has been completely emptied. Okay... maybe a virus, I don't think so. Her temperature was normal and there was not vomiting. I have previously seen this in my dog two times. On both occasions it was the result of giving her food for which she was not accustomed. Again, I don't want to pin something bad on what seems to be very competent and real good folks. However, I do not think I am making a mistake. My dog either got a hold of another dog's food, my instructions were not followed, or one of the guys with all good intentions gave a treat that did not sit well. The reason I left the food is because I am aware of how my dog reacts - perhaps I should have impressed this more, yet they too should have been more careful. So, in the future please consider the importance of what is being fed to a pet. With that said, I would in a second bring my dog back. I do think that this is a quality boarding and day facility.

Larie and her team are absolutely amazing. I travel a lot and always try to find a hotel or…read moresituation where I can bring my beloved little chi, Theo. Unfortunately, while making last minute reservations for a weekend wedding, I was unsuccessful at finding a dog friendly hotel. The next option was to find somewhere where I could board him; I wasn't too excited especially since I had only boarded him once before and for an hour after dropping him off I couldn't stop crying. This experience was completely different. From the first moment I spoke with Larie on the phone I knew that she was going to take really good care of Theo. She gave me her cell phone number and offered to meet me at the bed and breakfast I was staying at even though I was arriving late at night. After handing Theo to her she and her co-worker told me they were going on a walk with him which showed me she really knew how to handle dogs; especially ones that are prone to separation anxiety and stress like my little guy. I headed to the rehearsal dinner after-party and actually ran into Larie still out walking and bonding with Theo half an hour later. Amazing! He was glad to see me, but clearly comfortable with Larie and I was doubly relieved and reassured that this was going to be a great experience for Theo and I. Since Theo fell within the allowable weight limit, Larie boarded him at her own house with her (much larger) pups. She sent me text updates and told me to call her anytime with any concerns or even to check in. When my boyfriend and I went to pick him up, he was happy and very relaxed running around with her pups. It was clear that he'd had plenty of exercise and love. I am so grateful for her amazing care of Theo and I only wish that we lived closer Theo can continue to benefit for her professional and loving boarding services!

Patty and her Pet Palace were an absolute blessing to my three cats and myself. My kitties stayed…read morethere for about two months, while I was dealing with a bunch of health issues in another state. Her safety and cleanliness standards are very high, so I knew they would be well taken care of, I just didn't know how much! Patty ended up falling in love with my little trio. She sent me pictures of them, and long emails about how each was doing. The maximum amount of cats is 4, so they were nearly always the only cats there, and thus got extra space to roam. My oldest cat gets apple cider vinegar and chicken broth every day for upper respiratory congestion, and Patty made little frozen cubes of the mixture, so that none of the broth would go bad. But wait, there's more! Like I said, I was in one state, all my doc appts were in another, Patty is in NY, and my next stop was moving to Colorado. I hired a transportation company to move my animals, and when communication went south with them and my stress level was soaring because I was literally in back-to-back appointments most days, trying to find a Vet who could come to Patty's and write my cats a Travel Health Certificate each and getting no where, Patty stepped right up, and handled everything. She made a Vet appt, brought all my cats to the Vet, sent me pictures of the Certificates, and even dealt with unpleasant emails from the travel company. Literally, all I had to do was pay the Vet over the phone. It was incredible and such an enormous relief. I would recommend Patty and her Palace to anyone, without hesitation.
