I know that it's hard to work with people. I know that people can be rude. I know that it gets…read morerough. One thing I cannot forget about this clinic is the day that I took my puppy in for her first round of shots. I went in and the tech was on the phone. The phone call lasted a little while, and my arms were getting tired, so I put my 15 pound pup. Lo and behold, an unaltered male rottweiler comes in. I understand that dogs are dogs. I just didn't like the fact that the dog was allowed to walk around unsupervised, especially as a larger dog. Said larger dog intimidated my little girl pup, making her tuck her tail and hide behind me, but all is good. Dogs are dogs. This is where I got upset. Clearly the tech was on the phone with someone who was hard of hearing, because she kept repeating the answer to the clients(?) question. The tech began to get an attitude with the person on the phone. Eventually, the tech and the clients calk was over, and to my absolute horror, the tech said 'bitch', referring to the client on the phone. Another problem I had that day, was that I asked for a parvo shot, flea pill, and dewormer. Guess what I didn't get. I only got the patio shot because the tech didn't believe me about my puppy's age, not her breed. I had gotten her as an 8 week pup in December. She went to get her first round of shots with the girl that had given her to me, and I was going for her last parvo, then coming back the next week for rabies. My puppy was around 3 months old when this occurred. The tech said that she "didn't look like a 3 month old", and when I told her that she was a small dog because she is lab/Aussie shepherd, she said 'no, your dog is a rottweiler'. I know my dogs breed. I know my dogs parents breeds. Just stop. I went back another time for a nail trim, and the other techs were very sweet. Terry is just the sour one.

A few years back I had good care at AAC, so I'm very disappointed to report that this is no longer…read morethe case. My cat escaped the house and was attacked by a dog. He was seen by a local veterinarian, but had complications to his breathing one night and we rushed him to AAC. The care there was VERY inconsistent. Some of the vets and techs were good and others were not. This inconsistency of care and transfer of information was a huge problem. After a few days of care, they ended up calling us in the middle of the night, put us on hold for 5 minutes where I was just panicking, and then insisted he needed to be euthanized. They also told me they weren't providing basic care they promised like draining his bladder. We rushed there and were hard sold on euthanizing him based on information I later found to be incorrect, if not an outright lie. So now my cat is dead, and I am questioning so much of what happened. After a couple of weeks, I left a clear review voicing my concerns on another review site. Nothing mean. Nothing out of hand. I would hope they'd take my concerns to heart. I must have struck a nerve, because they followed up by sending me a letter that basically said (paraphrasing), "Sorry your cats is dead, but you left a bad review so now you are banned from all of our practices." I've NEVER heard of such behavior from a vet, and I'm still shocked. It feels like the intent was cruelty, and not something you would expect from a vet that truly cares about animal welfare. Go here if you must, but be careful.
