My dish arrived after all the others had finished their food. Despite asking the staff three times. Filter coffee was ordered, but never came. Asked the staff twice... "Just coming". Ultimately asked the manager - he said that they did not have coffee!! Filter coffee is apparently not available in Adelaide. It has been ordered from Melbourne. Two of the six dishes were returned as the food was too hot to be eaten. They must have emptied the entire chili packet in the dishes!!! The sambhar did not have much lentils in it, more like colored broth. We got charged for everything including the coffee which was not given!! I asked the manager and he apologized and refunded the coffee charges. Not going back there in a hurry.

Well with this item on the menu it's in with a good chance. Traditional northern Indian food is what's on the menu here. I've seen restaurants claim to be north Indian and south Indian, yet both will sell the same menu items. I've always been interested in which foods really do belong to the north and which ones really belong in the south. Regardless, what it really comes down to is how the food tastes. I saw so many great menu items I was literally bursting by the time I walked out the door. I just kept seeing things on the menu that I HAD to try, even if was just once. Maybe next time I'll opt for take away. That way what I don't eat can be stored in the fridge. The food is a little more expensive than some of the other Indian places, but what they make here, they make really well. But our food did take a while to come out, it seemed that there were a lot of take away orders that were keeping the kitchen busy as well. The food was nice but not as good as Beyond India at North Adelaide. The butter chicken and plain naan were highlights. We noticed a poster in the restaurant detailing a 'more than you can eat' buffet that is held at Beyond India Modbury on the first and last Sunday of every month.
