The food is consistently high quality at a reasonable price. The keema and cheese naans are absolute gems, and the curries are always delicious. The last time we got takeout, the hostess, who is hands down one of the nicest ladies to exist, threw in a few more bits and pieces in our order for free just cause. What a champ!

Well with this item on the menu it's in with a good chance. Traditional northern Indian food is what's on the menu here. I've seen restaurants claim to be north Indian and south Indian, yet both will sell the same menu items. I've always been interested in which foods really do belong to the north and which ones really belong in the south. Regardless, what it really comes down to is how the food tastes. I saw so many great menu items I was literally bursting by the time I walked out the door. I just kept seeing things on the menu that I HAD to try, even if was just once. Maybe next time I'll opt for take away. That way what I don't eat can be stored in the fridge. The food is a little more expensive than some of the other Indian places, but what they make here, they make really well. If you want a different type of Indian restaurant menu then I suggest dropping by.

When we arrived, there weren't any other guests in the restaurant but I was surprised to see another six groups of people arrive during the time we were there. We ordered entrees and mains, as we were the only people in the restaurant when we ordered I expected the food service would be quick. But our food did take a while to come out, it seemed that there were a lot of take away orders that were keeping the kitchen busy as well. The food was nice but not as good as Beyond India at North Adelaide. The butter chicken and plain naan were highlights. We noticed a poster in the restaurant detailing a 'more than you can eat' buffet that is held at Beyond India Modbury on the first and last Sunday of every month. At $23.90 per adult, it's something that I would definitely like to try next time.

The menu features your standard northern indian dishes and beverages with some alcohol too. Service was prompt and friendly. The food was served relatively quickly and well presented, however the flavour and heat was very westernized which I found disappointing (I ordered one dish as hot and one as medium-hot).
