Beautifully curated furniture and home decor boutique in Ravenswood! I've browsed there a few times. They have nice pieces. I bought a china hutch a few weeks ago. It was love at first sight! I'm using it as a bookcase. I coordinated delivery through Schlep. The glass shelves were broken during delivery. I called the shop to find out if they had the measurements handy. I couldn't remember exactly how they fit inside. They didn't, but they offered to stop by to do the measurements for me! Wow. I was surprised. That kind of support is almost unheard of. We agreed on a time and the ladies showed up exactly on time and were so lovely and helpful. I will definitely shop with them again! read more

In a part of town full of cute furniture stores, this place is a particular gem. The vintage pieces are interesting and beautiful, the owners are friendly and knowledgeable, and -- in an important bonus -- the store's website and photos do a pretty good job of representing what they have in stock. Indeed, we bought a large and striking item from them sight unseen, based on a photograph, and we love the way it looks in real life. So I'll definitely be keeping an eye on them in the future, and I'd urge you to stop in if it looks like your taste. read more

DO NOT buy from this place. My wife and I were shopping for a dining room table set and came across one we really liked at Mint Home. I noticed one of the chairs had a couple of screws missing causing it to flip up (as seen in the picture). They assured us they would fix it before having a white glove delivered, but they never fixed it. Upon arrival, we then noticed that 3 of the 4 chairs had the same issue. Not only that, but the pieces of plywood they used on all the chairs when they reupholstered them was too thin and the screws poke you when you sit down. You'd think after spending $800, you'd get something you can at least sit down on. This was a terrible experience. They were nice people, just really shoddy restoration. read more

The shop is small, but full of well-curated furniture pieces. I was walking by and had not planned to make a purchase, but the perfect dining set was on display and I had to take a closer look. I was pleasantly surprised to see that all the prices are quite reasonable. I took the measurements home to think about it and phoned the next day to make the purchase. The purchase and delivery were so easy, and the owners even had a custom leaf made to match the table. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish, with excellent customer service. Mint Mini is the sister store of Mint Home. It has has the same focus of awesome and affordable Mid Century Modern vintage furnishings, except the audience they are cultivating are parents and children. I would not count out Mint Mini if you do not have children, as I found a great dresser that I am using as a credenza in my dining area and I have no children. So, Mid Century Modern vintage furniture aficionados should also add this charming shop to their haunts. read more

Found Mint on yelp and was happy to see they were a block away from the apartment I am moving into. I'd been on a mad quest for dinning room chairs to match a table I'd already purchased from a resale shop. I wanted something extremely specific. I liked the small shop (exceptional mid century collection) but it is definitely minimalist (aka not much to choose from). You couldn't believe my shock when I walked a little further in and saw the exact chairs I'd been looking for. The lovely saleswoman was awesome and contacted the owner about breaking up the set (they came with a table). The owner was willing and gave me a workable price. Honestly their table was nicer and I should have gotten that too, but I'd already dealt with too much getting the other (crappier) one. Next time I'll go to Mint first. read more

I found Mint Home (and Mint Mini) on Apartment Therapy's Marketplace and really liked their items, so when I found out I moved about a mile away I had to check them out. I was looking for nightstands/end tables and found one that I loved. Finding a vintage pair (that I like) is almost impossible but Jessie was great and said she had a second end table with the same dimensions but with two closed drawers (the other had an open drawer and a closed drawer) getting ready for sanding and staining, I took it. They look great together and with the bed in between really do look like a matched set. There was a lag in communication about the second end table and the time frame of it being ready as well as a few other pieces that were in the process of being ready for sale that I was interested in. However, they offered to drop off the second nightstand, so that made up for it! Small store but well organized and if you don't see what you are looking for ask, they may have something coming soon! read more

This shop has the best selection in Chicago of refurbished dressers, buffets, nightstands, and desks. If you're looking for a restored midcentury piece at a reasonable price, this should be your first stop. They also carry campaign-style items and occasionally have pieces that are a bit more classic/minimal and less mod, so it's worth a look even if you're not a huge fan of midcentury modern. I bought a dresser here recently and the owner went above and beyond to coordinate delivery. The delivery guy was very friendly and the piece was packed and bubble wrapped perfectly to ensure it made it into my new place in great shape. read more

Neat little store. Easy to miss, but it's next to Laschet's Inn which makes a good landmark. A really fun place to browse, with emphasis on mid-century modern furniture, but lots of inexpensive knick-knacks and decorations for your home also. We wound up buying a couple small ceramic birds on the last visit. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to stopping in again to see what new treasures they have. read more

I am writing this review a bit late due to my forgetfulness. Recently, I had friends over, and showered me in compliments over this dresser. They saved this beautiful piece. I bought this dresser on letgo, and I saw the potential. It was in poor condition, and needed a ton of help. My mother found Mint Home to refurnish my dresser. The only initial concern was the mirror, as Mint Home haven't cleaned up mirrors before. It was ok because they were willing to try to remove the stickers and adhesives. So communicated with them through out the process, due to my specifications. I bought the paint, pulls, and dresser to them to put together. I also had the options of using their paint and pulls for an extra cost, but they did not have what I personally wanted. It wasn't a problem, because when it came back it was everything I wanted and more. It is just simply exquisite. The other hiccup was with the delivery of the mirror as it wasn't immediately ready. I think they had it at their other shop, and I couldn't run over to pick it up that day. They offer to deliver for free. I remeber the man who had delivered my mirror as being a bit difficult, but its totally fine because I loved it. Attached are photos. These women are incredible, and truly know what they are doing.They fixed a dresser that I know I will keep for the rest of my life. I cannot imagine ever selling this piece even if I move. They communicated well, and were very much accommodating. If you are thinking about buying something from them, just do it! read more

For all you Mid-Mod lovers out there, Mini Mint (sister store to Mint Home) is *AMAZING*! They offer cute furniture with neutral colors that can fit easily into a nursery or right into a beautiful front room. The owner, Keisha, is a mama herself and usually in the store helping answer questions. With my dresser, I was able to get it painted a new color and have in-home delivery for an insanely reasonable price. If you're looking for mid-mod furniture (that will last) this should definitely go on the list as a place to look! read more

Beautiful pieces but the customer service is lacking. I came in on a Sunday ready to spend money on a mid century tv stand, I was the only customer in the store with three people working, and no one greeted me or asked if I needed assistance. A missed opportunity for them, you never know who's ready to buy, but the furniture is really nice. read more
