Wow, I am glad I didn't read the reviews before going to Garland Mint Dentistry. My first cleaning was at a Dallas location and I was disappointed in the cleanliness of their facility. Instead of leaving Mint, I decided to give Garland a try. Very clean! Staff were wonderful, at both locations. I've experienced 2 cleanings, 1 whitening, 1 cavity and now a crown and I have paid less than $500 for all of the procedures combined (I have insurance) but, also, Mint is competitively priced. Omg where do I start???? Do not go to this office! The manager Surely is very rude and clearly showed me that I didn't belong there! I want to start off by saying I had an appointment this morning and the lady whoever took my appointment over the phone had me scheduled in for 24 December instead of today so that was mistake number one however the front desk lady said that they could take me. Now, moving alone, she had to reverify my insurance, which I had no problems with it before I could go back. Once she verified my insurance, she told me that on the 27th my insurance starts all over because I have had a cleaning already within the six months and if I decide to get it done today, she said it would be somewhere around $155. Well, I figured since the 27th was only a few days away I would wait so I didn't have to pay the $155. I only scheduled today because I just got my braces off this morning. I asked if I can come on Friday, which would be the 28th and she said that they were closed. So then I asked her. What days are they open late because I get off work at 4:30 or do they open up on Saturdays. The lady at the front was explaining to that they generally they take their last appointments between 4 and 430pm. Then I asked her how many minutes do they allow you to be late and they could still see me and then the lady said normally 15 minutes but it is no late grace if your appointment is at 4:30. I asked her why not and she said that they be wanting to go home because they're closing. I paused and thought about what she said and the manager Surely quickly jumped in the conversation and said we don't have anything after 4:30 and the mesquite office may be open on Dec 13th because they are closed for the Christmas Holiday. Basically to sum it up the Manager told me if I came at 4:45 which would be 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment that was at 4:30 they may or may not get to all of what I came for which is a Cleaning. She told me that they may only get to just take an x-ray and not do the cleaning and I will have to come back to do the cleaning so I'm like "What" that doesn't make sense to me so that means I'll be coming all the way over here And depending on how much time you have if you can do my Cleaning what I originally made my appointments for And she said yes. I said well that's unfair. I need your corporate number because that's totally wrong. She just kept butting in while I was asking questions asking me "how do I want to proceed". I mean she was very rude. Cut me off in between while I was talking so Are you gonna get this service done or not? I mean this lady was super Duper rude so I asked for a corporate number and I got the corporate number left him a message. I have not heard back from them. I know it's very soon, but hopefully they'll call me back and I can let them know. This was the worst experience I've ever experienced here and I will never go back. I mean this lady gave me a look that was horrible. Definitely showed me that. I don't belong here and that she did not want me to be here never again Mint Dentistry. I hope I have her name right "Surely" the skinny white lady with the large lips. And she was talking about me as I was leaving out the door. They smile in your face and try to put on a front to get your money and talk about you when you leave like they did me. This is just the first Review I did on them. I should've been doing reviews cause they are overpriced. Get you in the back and tell you need all these services done. I went to this office yesterday in significant pain and was able to get an appointment quickly. The dentist saw me but immediately referred me to an oral surgeon. While I understand referrals happen, I was shocked that I was not prescribed anything for the pain I was experiencing--not even antibiotics to hold me over until I could see the oral surgeon. Considering it can take several days to get scheduled, I left the office still in severe discomfort with no relief. After submitting a poor survey rating, I received a follow-up call from the office manager, Myra. Ironically, one of my survey complaints was about having to schedule my own referral, and her call was simply to ask if I needed help scheduling. When I mentioned that I hadn't been given any medication for pain or infection, she apologized and said she wasn't aware. I've been a patient here for some time, but the lack of concern, professionalism, and basic patient care during this experience has lost them my business. Extremely long wait times. They Ignore your request to not have 10+ x rays done every 6 month visit... Cavity treatment is outrageously expensive. I've been with Mint Richardson for 5 years and only good experiences. Mint Garland is making me quit Mint altogether and use a closer dentist to my house. read more

I went here and they say they give you free teeth whitening. I asked about it when I first arrived and they said of course. They still did not do it. When I was leaving I reminded them before checking me out they did not do it. So I asked to have it done. They came back with a pouch of 2 syringes filled with whitening gel but no guard, etc and said do it at home. The instructions says to wear a guard and not let sit on your gums. Prior to this visit, I went for first appt. Was told I needed a filling and quoted a cost. I told them I would return when my kids appointments were scheduled so I did not have to take of extra time from work. I switched insurance and got better insurance. When I went back, they changed the code for my filling which would now only cost me about $25 to a code that would cost me $300 for a filling (saying rhe filling was needed due to teeth grinding and not decay). Super behind on the schedule. Book way to many patients and don't have the staff to treat. They make up their own prices, which was very odd to me. Told me I couldn't stay with my 13 year old daughter who was extremely nervous. Wouldn't give my second child gas for his procedure bc they said he wasn't nervous. The Dentist wouldn't talk to me, she had her office manager talk to me instead. Dentist stayed in her office and when I asked if the dentist was ready the office manager went to get her out of her office. Office manager said the reason for the wait was bc she was explaining to the dentist how my daughter was nervous. The whole visit was sketchy and strange. Not professional at all. Had an appointment this week and upon arriving for my early appointment the office was locked and staff arrived late. Overall energy and customer service was subpar. The entire experience makes you feel like it's about volume of people vs quality of service. Felt like a tooth sweat shop. As they requested, I came 20 minutes after my appointment time. When I arrived, the receptionist told me they were still running late and now there were 5 patients ahead of me. I advised her that I couldn't wait an additional hour. As most people do, I'd arranged with my employer to go to the appointment had needed to return to work. The receptionist said, 'sounds good. We'll cancel you.' She didn't care at all and didn't offer so much as an apology. If you have any other options, choose them. A horrible, horrible place. Please do not go there. I went for a regular check up, turned out I needed a crown. First appointment was ok, scheduled a next one for the permanent crown placement - came 20 minutes early and asked about my payment. The receptionist told me that everything is already paid and I just need to wait for my turn. A couple of minutes later I wanted to ask about future payments since I still wanted to do another crown and offered my new insurance card. Turns out I had to wait one more hour because "they were running insurance check". Absolutely not true - it was already paid for by the previous insurance. The office manager is extremely rude and disrespectful towards customers, the whole conversation was unpleasant. After 1:20 hr of waiting I decided to reschedule. She tried to blame it on me. I asked if my crown (already paid) could be send to another location - she refused, again in a rude manner. I contacted patientconcerns@mintdentistry.com to complain, never gor any answer back. I called to schedule an appointment in April, got scheduled for 11am on May 11. Came this morning just to be informed that they had a wrong number on file (missing a zero), could not contact me to confirm so they just canceled my appointment. Lol. Horrible Customer Service! They never answer their phones and when you leave a message it takes a week or more to get a response. I prepaid for full top dentures and partial lower dentures got my top done was sent to pinnacle oral surgery to perform a necessary procedure before my lower could be finished. I just did that and called to schedule my appointment for the partial bottom dentures and the manager says we haven't paid yet.!!! Well after an hour of arguing the dentist comes out and sees me and tells the manager that I did pay already and to look for a payment not assigned to a doctor. Sure enough there it was but now he is telling me he has to talk to corporate to see what to do and that they are hesitant to do my partial bottom dentures and might have to refund me!!! Like WTF. NOT ACCEPTABLE. YOU TOOK MY MOLDS FOR THE BOTTOM, FILLINGS ON THE BOTTOM, MY MONEY AND HAD ME GET BOTTOM TEETH REMOVED AND NOW YOU WANT TO SAY YOU DONT FEEL COMFORTABLE. WOW SUCH A COP OUT. Their go-to solution for any cavity they find or do not find is to put a crown on everything when crowns are extremely expensive. Extremely disappointed with their practice. Was offered a $5 a month payment plan for procedures that would cost up to $15,000 total ranging between $1900 and $3500 per tooth because they would love to throw in the crown special. Now after wasting PTO and my insurance coming here I still have to make another dentist appointment elsewhere to a more reputable and trustworthy practice. read more

I have bad anxiety when it comes to dentist offices and anything to do with my teeth. I decided on MINT dentistry because of the advertisements I heard on the radio. I was hoping it would be as relaxing as advertised. Boy was I wrong, it was THE WORST experience! Front desk was just ok, not very friendly but also not rude. They took me to the back and did my x-rays (not sure how much experience the kid had) but they had to retake several of them twice and it cut the inside of my mouth. Then the Dr came in and started talking about a "treatment plan" even though I didn't have any cavities. (I was really confused). At this point my anxiety was through the roof and I asked for nitrous to help calm me. The hygienist rolled her eyes and said "you need it for a cleaning?" She left to get it and someone came back and started putting paperwork in front of me for my "treatment plan" and to have the nitrous which was an extra $75 out of pocket. Hygienist came back 15 minutes later, put me on nitrous said she'd be back in 5 minutes but came back about another 15 minutes later. She started cleaning my teeth and only did the front part of them. Took about 10-15 minutes to clean and said I was done. I was there about 2 hours total and only got half of a cleaning!!! The advertisement for mint is all hype and no follow through! No massage chairs, no whitening (got the gel but can't use it without trays which is a whole other situation). Needless to say my first appointment will be my last with this office. I left the office in a full on anxiety attack. read more

This is unbelievable. I spent alot of money on a crown they put a temp on and told me they would call when it came in. That was last year in December . They never called after several attempts I finally find out it had been here they just didn't call.over 2 months later I have an appointment to have the crown put on. After setting out here for over a half hour they come and tell me there equipment is down and they will have to reschedule. My insurance expires in a few days I am so frustrated. I recommend you DO NOT accept the last appointment of the day. I needed a late appointment because I didn't want my son to miss school. So I scheduled the last appointments of the day for my son and I. Bad decision, I felt really rushed. It seemed as if everyone was more concerned with leaving vs customer care. We were rushed thru our appointment. The employees were already waiting at the door with their bags once we finished. We were there for a cleaning and when the dentist came in to see me, my mouth dropped. Not trying to be mean but if I come to the dentist to get my teeth cared for, I expect the dentist to be caring for his/her teeth first. The dentist teeth were horrible! Front Desk people were pleasant . Once you get past the dental assistant and hygienist - which were very patient and professional goes down hill from there. The Dentist Rushes and acted as if I shouldn't ask her questions about my dental needs. I basically was asking for clarity .. as she began to sigh and shook her head toward the dental assistant as if I agitated her. Moving forward .. when the treatment plan was covered with me , nothing is broken down .. really rushed through it while holding the hard copy in a different direction - I had to ask to see it as she discussed it. Definitely need to improve in this area . My teeth and money are way more important to me than "which music would I like to here or sunglasses " This was actually my second visit , wasn't very pleased the first time but decided to give them another try this year. From beginning to end, all associates were very nice and accommodating. I've been to a handle-full of dentists since I was young and this is best I have been to in terms of customer service, waiting time, and services provided. They made sure to tell me each why they were doing such and such. It was a good feeling knowing they weren't just doing things and not knowing the reason why. Very spa like feel. Made me feel as comfortable as possible. Also the hygienist took her time with my cleaning, felt no rush, and my teeth felt very clean afterwards. I went in for a routine check up two months ago and they told me I needed fillings in between every single tooth. I had a portion of my mouth done and had to go back for adjustments three times because I was in so much pain. Eventually they gave me antibiotics for a swollen tooth. A week later I was still in a lot of pain and decided to go to a different dentist. This new dentist told me I did not need fillings in any of my teeth because I had NO cavities! He also told me the fillings I had gotten were done so badly done that I ultimately will need to get them replaced in five years. To make it all worse, Mint Dentistry over-adjusted my bite and now I have a gap in my teeth causing a lot of pain and I need to get my back tooth replaced. I have been in pain for two months now just because they did unnecessary fillings. read more

Inflated prices compared to other dentists. It's like you are cattle being heard in and out. No real customer service. To many appointments being set for the dentist to give each patient the proper attention needed. Throughout my root canal the dentist had to stop 4 times to go see other patients that made my procedure take longer and I felt like the dentist had to rush through my procedure. That makes the patient feel very unsure about the work being done. The girl at the front desk went through the price with me before the procedure. She showed me 3 price options. The price without the membership was about $4000 and the price with the membership was $2000. The price at most dentists around town for the same procedure is $1100-$1400 I know because I called around to many dentists offices. Your staff wouldn't give me a price over the phone or even a price range until I came in. I had no choice but to go ahead and get it done because I was in so much pain. Your normal price of $4000 is a inflated price to get customers to do the membership and even the membership price is no discount it's still a marked up price compared to other dentists in the area. Hello , Extremely upset with my dental experience. I don't even know where to begin. First I Garland teamed failed to contact me that my permanent crown was completed. i was finally able to contact billing and was assured that I could pay half at my appt and still get my crown then pay the remainde. I finally am able to get off from work . ( work at a busy medical clinic). I scheduled my appt for 4/6/18for permanent crown and explained the billing matter. Well they scheduled me only for a dental cleaning and checKuP. After that I was brought back only to tell me I had to pay 450 or I couldn't get my procedure done and if I paid partial the I would have to finish paying before my crown gets put on. Which means having to take another work day off. so in order to avoid missing another day I paid the 450. It gets better , when they try to put on my crow turns out it was done incorrectly and the margins weren't right .so now I have to be refitted for another crown and put on another temporary crown. I still have to miss another day of work due to your mistake. As a single mother it's becoming king a huge inconvenience. It gets better , the dentist that was working on me was new and had to keep calling the head dentist for reassurance . Well finally get the temp crown on and the doc shaved too much and didnt polish so it's difficult to bite. After all this my appt was at 11:00am, I arrived 10-15 early and got out at 3:45 - 4:00pm. most horrible experience and after this crown gets put on I don't plan on returning due to the incompetence of this facility. If I could give 0 stars I would. It took them three hours to do a cleaning and then they gave my husband shots and disappeared for 45 minutes. When they finally came back they said it would be another 15 minutes or we could reschedule. The front desk lady was extremely rufe and unprofessional and they only play Christian music which is offensive to me and I'm sure plenty of others. Dont waste your time with these people.
