It is an old set of residences that have been converted into a B & B. I have a Jetta, so I could get in and out fairly easily, but I wouldn't be sure of anything much larger than that. Also, whether from the street side or the parking lot side, you're going to have a hard time getting around with a large suitcase. And if you yourself are larger than average (even if you are simply tall), the bathroom may also be a struggle, as it is really smushed into a small space. All that being said, it is a beautiful building and you can't beat the location. It is right by a subway station and in easy walking distance to Bell Centre. I felt perfectly safe walking back after the Hab's game. And leaving was pretty convenient too, as it is really close to a highway ramp.

Th is inn would be a much better experience if they had a different guy at front desk. His name is Sam and he's very rude and uptight. He claims to be the manager.I've met the owner and it's hard to believe he'd hire someone like that to be manager. It takes away from the charm of the place. He is especially rude to women and he acts like he knows me well. But I don't even know him. The location is good being close to a nice part of downtown all within walking distance. The shower in the room was cool plus there was a bathtub next to it. If anyone has a problem with front desk guy his name is Sami El Hassani. e

Daniel is an inventive chef and came up with delicious hot breakfasts every morning. We stayed 4 nights and he didn't repeat a meal once! They also chat with their guests over breakfast and really make you feel at home. The rooms are clean and bed is comfortable. Our bathroom didn't have a wall attachment for the shower head, so...we sat for our showers! It was a little weird at first (I'm used to a stand-up shower) but honestly after a whole day of walking around the city, sitting for a shower was a welcome change! They are ideally located too, in a quiet and safe area, and they're close to the bus stop and train station. There's also a cute little street nearby with restaurants and shops. It's relatively easy to get around town with just public transportation alone. We were lucky enough to find free street parking, so we left our car there for our whole visit and relied just on buses/trains/walking and saw pretty much everything we wanted to see. Will definitely be staying here again, assuming they're not already all booked up next time we visit!

When we arrived, we were welcomed with a cold beer. They are very knowledgeable about the area and not only recommended to us the best places to check out, but Petra gave us a map and took the time to mark the different locations and showed us the best routes to take. They told us the best place to exchange our money so we weren't ripped off. By the end of the weekend, I wanted to take their pup Monsieur Petit home. He is such an adorable pup, and so well behaved too. Breakfast was delicious and our room was roomy but cozy. :)

It is a block away from a bus line so we took that too. The room does provide a list of restaurants that are nearby which is nice. Our room was clean. Housekeeping could do a better job (we didn't have enough towels for our room of 4, no drying bath mat, ran out of body wash). Our shower head needs to be replaced. It was worse than a rain shower. The shower floor is slippery but thankfully they provided a rubber bath mat. There is a huge fitness center and a pool with a hot tub which my family enjoyed. They have underground parking available for a daily fee which is convenient. Front desk was friendly. We would stay here again.

They immediately asked the front desk to change rooms but were told the hotel was fully booked. The hotel offered to move them the next day, but provided no compensation at all for the first night. The noise was so unbearable that my father eventually had to sleep on the bathroom floor, while my mother tried to sleep covered with some of her clothes and became sick afterward. I understand that a hotel can be fully booked, but it is unacceptable to charge the full price for a room that is effectively unsuitable for sleeping. I called the hotel afterward, but they refused any compensation and were dismissive about the situation. Moving them the next day does not make the first night acceptable. Providing guests with a reasonable place to sleep is the most basic responsibility of a hotel. Very disappointing.

The room (senior suite in back) was quiet, clean, and spacious. The proprietors were just lovely: gracious, thoughtful, helpful and kind. When one of them discovered that I had a food sensitivity I'd not disclosed (figuring correctly that there would be plenty of other options) to one of the seven or eight side dishes (there were also on-the-spot-prepared- customized main dishes) he made sure to bake me something special the next day that fit with my of dietary guidelines. In addition to the half dozen or more of the choices that I already could have eaten . All the proprietors were knowledgeable about their beautiful city and made great recommendations about activities of interest and how to best find our way there (complete with maps). They made the great suggestion of buying a week long metro pass (senior discount available). Really, it was a beautiful experience in every sense of the word. I'm so glad we went and hope to return some day.

The proprietor, Andres, was friendly and warm. When I asked for a local Asian eatery for dinner on the first night, he recommended a nearby place which was great. He was attentive to ask me if there's anything I do/don't eat for breakfast. Speaking of which, breakfast at this place was one of the highlights, I had different items everyday and they were delicious. The room was stylish and well-kept. I am very sensitive to noise, and the room was quiet and clean. One thing about the room is that there is no door for the shower and toilet. The toilet was separate by curtains. I really enjoyed the music system in the room, it sounds amazing and it changes the type of music in the morning and in the evening. The patio is also quite amazingly beautiful. I really enjoyed my weekend in Montreal, and this B & B was part of that fond memory. I was a single traveler and they were very kind to me. I definitely look forward to return for another visit.

I was going to give it only a 4 star review,…read morebut I realized that would be unfair as I tend to shy away from Bed and Breakfasts in general. They can be a little too intimate for my taste. (breakfast with strangers, etc) However, if I reviewed the place as if I was into B&B's, it makes more sense to give it five stars. First of all, you can't beat the location. You go down the street a half a block, take a left and go over one more block. There's the subway which is only one stop from a main hub. (or you can find plenty to do along this line. For example, the Underground Mall is located on the Green line. The interior is very nicely done. Not over the top. We stayed in the room with the toilet being separated only by a sliding door. I think this room would be more comfortable for someone staying there by themselves, or for a couple who has been together for 20 years. We were able to check out the other rooms before others arrived, and I can say I was jealous! They are all nice rooms, with two opening up to a patio. As another poster said, a nice touch is the built in radio. The volume is controlled by a main switch. Makes for a very relaxing atmosphere while getting ready or just hanging out. The breakfasts were VERY good. It wasn't just the actual taste, but also the presentation. Really felt like being in a fancy restaurant. I wanted to steal the dinner settings and the slippers they provide you with. (I didn't) They also have a very cute dog who doesn't bark at you or anything. Just minds his own business and looks all adorable sitting by your chair. Doesn't beg, just lays there. (Probably secretly hoping you'll drop a crumb) Wanted to steal him too. The owner was very helpful in suggesting things to do and making us feel welcome without "hovering".
