I think Dr. Veronica Moderam is very professional and I'm really happy and thankful she is so prominent on following the rules it made my next visit much easier. My visit with her honestly seemed a bit judgmental, I left feeling like she assumed as an addict, an experiment rather than a patient and assumed to be financially unstable. (I have no past issues with drug use, or financial issues) my doctor was no longer in practice so I went here for my 3 medications one being a controlled substance. Once I saw Dr. VM she immediately told me I'd have to take specific tests. This was of absolutely no issue to me to do so, but before I was able to even express my willingness she said "so we can just stop the visit now if it's an issue " it seemed like she was basically telling me "if your a drug addict get out" it struck some concern I've never participated in drug use due to the fact addiction killed most of my family. Of what I then felt I needed to share with her?? She kept explaining why I needed tests even though I never gave any push back once to her very reasonable request, followed by her statement saying " yes let's just see how scattered you really are".it felt like she was eager to challenge the competence of every psychiatrist I've ever seen and study me like an experiment rather than a human patient. After that she was concerned how I could afford a test without it being covered by insurance.. In my head, i was thinking I don't know this lady I barely say more than 2 sentences and she thinks I'm a drug addict and broke . Maybe it was projection of her past patients but... I wound up getting the test she requested but went to a different doctor who was gladly surprised with my arrival with pre taken results. I told him about this last visit and he said it was "very professionally unprofessional".. just take caution if you look alternative I guess. Not meant to be mean and I wasn't really offended that badly but some other people who are more sensitive might be hurt by assumptions. Not all alternative people are looking to get high, fight with proper rules or are financially unstable. Thank you.

Regarding her PNES, she would get an aura and often a seizure that would last 3-12+ hours. Even with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and medication, the seizures only reduced and auras reduced to about 2 times per week. We had our first visit with Dr. Kye in January. After asking us numerous questions, he concluded we were mostly treating the symptoms and not the cause. He changed about half her medication. In the past 6 weeks, she has had no auras. I have been coming here now for seven months and I feel like I need to tell everyone my experience. Laura who answered the phone was BEYOND helpful and such a delight! I was moving from another state and needed to establish a new doctor and I was able to get in around my time not the doctors time. (I love the flexibility they offer ) Laura called me to confirm my appt the day before and asked me if I had any questions and even asked about my move! ( No one ever stops to ask how people are these days!) When I arrived I was there 15 mins early and I was the only patient in the waiting area. ( I read reviews they over book there are over 8-10 people waiting which is a LIE!!!!) I was greeted by the Dr and we went over all my medically and past doctor visit. For privacy reasons I will not list why I was there but when I left I felt very comfortable with the staff and the Dr. I am going on my 8 month and I enjoy coming here. On Monday at 2:15pm I asked if I was going to receive a virtual link for my appointment at 3. They said that the therapist would email me the link 30 minutes prior to the meeting. So I waited... and waited... and waited. At 3:22 the therapist finally messaged me telling me that the company never informed them of our appointment and we'd have to reschedule. I was confused and told the therapist that the company told me that she as the therapist was supposed to contact me before the meeting. Then I get a call from the company. A woman informed me that my therapist had a medical emergency and was unable to attend my appointment. To which I said, that doesn't make any sense, the therapist just told me that you as the company never looped her in that she had an appointment with me. The woman on the phone said nooo that's not correct, let's just make a new appointment, what day are you available. Immediately, I did not feel respected and this back and fourth was extremely unprofessional. I informed the woman that this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and I will be looking for services elsewhere. Then the woman said okay and hung up. The therapist then texted me that the company didn't put my appointment on the correct date on her schedule. Which makes no sense to me. Why contact me about our appointment on a day that my appointment isn't apparently scheduled for??? Someone or multiple people were lying, I'm unsure. Please save your time and do not go here. My overall experience with this company has not been very good. The phone calls are always being…read moremissed. I sit and wait for hours. No one calls me each month. And then when I wanna get my medication's, it seems that that's all a mess as well I went without medication's for over 2 1/2 weeks and went through really severe withdrawals, which didn't help me at all especially being that I'm having panic attacks and going through a lot of anxiety since the death of my mom and my dog this past year. I don't give about a review this time because I had a better experience over the phone with Dominique Alseir than I have had in the past. She is a wonderful lady and it's probably not her fault that a lot of these things fall through the cracks but I will say that She did try harder this time to help me out. And I also received my medication's for the first time the very next day, which was very nice because I was having a lot of anxiety thinking that I wasn't going to receive them again. So I just hope that things keep going this way. For my first visit, I arrived to find the office literally closed. They had scheduled me for the wrong day internally, despite the fact that my appointment was booked verbally over the phone and confirmed via text for the correct day. When I returned for my actual appointment, I was left waiting for an hour. When I finally said something, the front desk lady gave me nothing but attitude. I was so close to demanding a refund and taking my prescription elsewhere just to avoid giving this practice my money. On top of their terrible service, they make it unnecessarily difficult to access care--effectively putting your health behind a paywall--yet they have no problem charging a $50 cancellation fee when it's convenient for them. It is clear this practice cares far more about their bottom line than their patients.
