Dr. Taylor is the best Psychologist I've seen-- and I've been seeing therapists for 20 years. She…read moreis very well-educated, honest, open, caring and very flexible when it comes to scheduling her patients. She could easily overwhelm someone who is uncomfortable with strongly opinionated women, but she is an incredible listener and is not afraid to keep a patient's diagnosis a fluid one. She also gave me referrals for a psychiatrist and a marriage counselor-- when the first marriage counselor didn't work out well, she gave me another referral that did. She was recommended to me by a friend, and I've recommended her to my own friends and family. She is a Christian and that does influence her world view and style of therapy, but she does not only treat other Christians and is adept and skilled enough to keep religion out of sessions when necessary. Personally, being a Christian, she is the first real Christian Psychologist I've ever seen, and the experience has been life-changing. So many times I've been forced to keep my religious views out of my therapy sessions, but I just can't divorce my mind and my spirit like that. Other Christians who have just been "counselors" or "therapists" were not skilled enough to deal with the depth of my problems and ended up doing more harm than good. To say that I TRUST Dr. Taylor is the greatest vote of confidence I could ever give to a doctor, and I do.

She is not judgmental, but is not afraid to point out her concerns and give you a chance to think about her insights without pressure. She is a woman that depends upon the Lord for her wisdom, but she is not at all demanding about her personal faith. Please do not let her beliefs keep you from seeking her out. She is very well educated and skilled in her work and confident in the belief that she can help you or she will recommend someone who will be a better fit. I trust Dr. Taylor to have my best interest in mind and to be selfless in the way she serves. She is helping me through a very difficult time in my marriage and walking with me in my own journey of healing a great deal of heartache and grief. Do not miss out on allowing Dr. Taylor to help you as well.

If I could give him his own review it would get 5 stars but he needs to get out of Thriveworks and open his own practice or join one that isn't primarily concerned with money. Yes, people need to get paid for the services they offer. I'm not disputing that by any stretch of the imagination, but keep reading. There's a $99 yearly subscription fee (what?) & a $100 fee if you're late (tho in all fairness Orlando waived it for me the couple times I was late but he did warn me Liz wouldn't be so forgiving if she found out.) Liz Levy on the other hand... ugh. Communication is not her strong suit, or so it seems. Pretty sad for a "therapist." She requires a credit card on file before they'll even talk to you about setting up an appointment. My mistake for not recognizing the red flag. Just to describe my experience with them: I took a short break from therapy to focus on other things but had a remaining balance. I completely forgot about it and had she simply reached out to me I would have happily told her to run my card for it and settle the issue. But no, she just ran it on a completely arbitrary date without any notification of any kind and I got a surprise email saying "thank you for your payment." You know Liz, sometimes if you just communicate with people they will happily resolve any issue there may be. You don't have to underhandedly charge people behind their backs without any communication. She was incredibly rude on the phone when I spoke to her about it and conveyed a hugely over inflated sense of self importance. I cannot believe a "therapist" would speak in such a manner to a client but I guess since I was seeing Orlando and not her she doesn't give a rat's ass. Stay far FAR away from Thriveworks! Orlando, get the F out of there and open your own practice. You rock and need to be on your own instead of underneath the boot heel of Liz Levy.

Absolutely terrible customer service and completely unprofessional!…read more I called the same day of my first scheduled video call to let them know I may be a few mins late as I don't get off work until the same time as my scheduled call. She said "OK, no worries, I'll make a note of that." Then after having difficulties connecting to their telehealth system, I was a grand total of 7 mins late. The lady on the call said THE PROVIDER was no longer available and I would be charged $100 missed apt fee. I explicitly & clearly stated that I would NOT be paying that fee. I even emailed them the day before my next scheduled call to confirm that I would not be paying that fee. They waited until the call was supposed to start to try and enforce the fee. Which I refused! It's not about the money at this point, it's about the principle of the matter. As a NEW PATIENT seeking help with ADD / ADHD tendencies, this is a completely unprofessional way of handling business. I will NOT be working with them any further at this point.

Wendy was the most unprofessional therapist I have ever spoken to. We were on her waiting list for…read moreover 8 months. I was looking forward to working with her. I have an 8-year-old daughter, I am divorced, and we share custody. When we were married, we were in a toxic environment full of psychological violence, which eventually escalated to physical violence. I filed for divorce in February 2021, had a 2-day trial at the end of 2022, and my divorce was granted in 2023. After presenting all the evidence, I was named the primary custodian of our child (70-30 custody) and the one responsible for making decisions regarding her mental health. During the intake call with Wendy, both parents were required to be present. My ex started ranting about how selfish I am because we don't have 50/50 custody and I receive child support. Wendy put me on the spot and asked why I wouldn't want to meet in the middle and agree to give up some custody and child support so we "could get along better," essentially placing the blame on me. I was SHOCKED, and when I said I was NOT going to give up time with my daughter, my ex began to point out how awful of a parent I am, saying something like, "Can you see?! That's why we have problems." Wendy then told us that if we couldn't get along, she couldn't help the child. I'm sorry, but there's a reason we are divorced, there's a reason I have primary custody, and there's a reason I am the one who makes decisions regarding her mental health. Wendy was completely out of line for bringing this up. It was a major red flag, and I decided not to bring my daughter to see her. I have been to therapy before, and I have never heard a therapist tell me that if parents don't get along, they can't help the child. Since then, I've also been harassed by my ex, who insists that I "give it a try" with Wendy. Now he's dragging me back to court, claiming I'm not doing what's best for our daughter as Wendy advised (which, according to him, means giving up custody time and child support). So, RUN... RUN away from this woman who should NOT be providing therapy to anyone. Quite the opposite--she should be seeking therapy herself.
