Nick and his Mindful Movers crew came through for us in an unexpected, last minute move which resulted in our possessions being moved twice. Nick arranged for a storage unit, into which his team loaded our 2-story townhouse. A few weeks later, they loaded and transported our belongings from Florida to Virginia. Nick communicated regularly during the process through e-mail, text, and phone calls to ensure that we were all on the same page and everything was moving according to schedule. At one time or other, we interacted with every member of the crew and found them all to be consistently respectful, courteous, hard workers who never wasted time. During their multiple hours of packing and loading, the guys took two, 5-minute breaks and only one, 15 minute eating break. The team took great care with our many fragile, family antiques and realized how important and irreplaceable they were to us. I was especially impressed that when they came upon a fragile, 25-yr. old nativity scene my daughter made when she was 8, one of the guys chose to hold it on his lap while another crew member drove to the storage unit. And, to further ensure its safety, Nick decided to put it in his own storage unit because ours was loaded to the top. As the movers pulled into our home in Virginia, they got out of the truck cab holding the nativity scene. This "little thing" is a reflection of Nick and his crew understanding that they are not just moving things. They are moving people, which includes their history and their memories. 1 STAR -- ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! ZERO STARS IF I COULD! STAY AWAY FROM MINDFUL MOVING! THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNRELIABLE MOVING COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH! I am absolutely disgusted with the way Nick from Mindful Moving treated us. After agreeing on a price and scheduling our move a week in advance, he showed up on moving day with another man, started making excuses, complained about the rain and the work involved, and then decided he wasn't going to do the job! The distance between the two homes was ONLY 15 MINUTES! Everything had been discussed beforehand, yet he acted as though he had no idea what he had agreed to. THE WORST PART? HE LEFT TWO WOMEN, MY DAUGHTER AND ME, COMPLETELY STRANDED ON MOVING DAY! We had to move that day, and instead of honoring his commitment, he had the audacity to suggest that MAYBE he could come back Thursday or Friday! His attitude was rude, disrespectful, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Absolutely no consideration for his customers, their time, or the stressful situation he created. WHAT KIND OF MOVING COMPANY SHOWS UP TO A SCHEDULED JOB AND JUST WALKS AWAY? This company completely failed us when we were counting on them the most. I Hired Nick the rude owner on Feb15th.He showed up 2 hrs late stayed one hour and said he had a cold and needed to go home he asked for payment in full before he started.I paid him.He returned 2 hours later and was pissed because he said he underestimated the job.Again not my problem or fault.He had his guys load two trucks and left an entire room behind and refused to go back and get it.Then they get to my new house. And refused to bring my stuck in the house.Put it in the garage.I hired him because I just had back surgery and can't lift.He said he didn't care and for me to find Jesus.LoL this kid is so rude and disrespectful.One of his workers told me he knows Nick is an add but he needs the money.I felt bad he is stuck working for him.I texted Nick the very next day and asked if he could go back and get the remaining furniture.He wouldn't.He refused to carry any boxes upstairs.Please Do Not Use this useless Co.I had to then hire GH Movers to finish the job.They were so good.They even told us we were not the first to say this about Nick.He has a bad reputation. read more

My entire experience from the very beginning was great. Nick was super helpful & patient with my many questions and did everything he could to keep in touch right up to my moving day. Michael & Ryan were amazing! I couldn't ask for more friendly, fast & patient movers. Nick did a courtesy call the day before & the guys called to let me know they were on their way & arrived right on time. I have 2 dogs that barked the entire time, some very heavy furniture to move & lots of hidden dust, But these guys were great with it all. They wrapped & covered everything, so nothing was damaged & they were super careful with even my smallest items. They were easy to get along with, so the process was not tense and awkward either. I work in customer service & I have to say that personality makes a HUGE difference no matter what job you're doing and these guys were great. Nick and Brandon were life-savers! We are from out of town and needed to find help quickly to clear out the contents of a 2 bedroom condo. Calledvthem on Monday...they were there the very next day! Words to describe them/ their work: quick, polite, efficient, humorous, and very very reasonably priced. Mindful movers were absolutely the best moving company I have used. I was called because they were going to be late which I greatly appreciated. I was told they would be there at 2, the adjusted time, and they actually showed up at 1:45. They were very careful with all of our belongings and they moved at a good pace. This was a difficult move - downsizing on steroids - and these guys were terrific. I had to change the date of the move and Nick was able to do so with no problem.
