I have practised yoga on and off for many years.
I can honestly say that Jay Rossi is the best teacher I have ever had. His emphasis on doing just enough and not being competitive is wonderful. Even after 7 years with him, I still appreciate those reminders, as human frailty and age mean that you cannot do what you used to and you start looking at what others can do! The only drawback is the stairs you have to climb to get there. But, hey, there's your warm up!
When I first came back to yoga I could not sit cross legged at all; my right leg was virtually upright. Now? I can sit crossing my legs boths ways. And, no, I don't pratise every day. It's virtually just the once a week class with Jay! (Don't tell him!)
If you are unfit, play any repetitive sport (golf, tennis), sit at a computer all day, are stiff, have any specific problems or just want a workout that isn't loud, fast, furious, connected to TV/music, do give yoga a try. If you can't get to Jays' class try somewhere else. It really is the best excercise.
