When I signed my kids up, I added that I had a few concerns since my kids have special needs, and the staff were very understanding and communicative. My kids had a great time here--they baked, did arts and crafts, baked, etc. The camp is located across the street from a park, so they had plenty of outside time. After the camp ended, I even received a Google photo album with pictures of my kids. Really appreciate the extra touch!

Since we had just moved, we were unable to find somewhere to take him which is initially why we opted for Kids Elite because they had a space for him. What a stroke of luck! He is a big lover of science and art and has flourished with the help of the attentive staff. He comes home every day so excited to tell us all about the project he completed that afternoon. Even though he is one of the younger kids at the school, he has formed friendships with all of the kids, even the older ones. The staff really strives for kindness and respect as a pillar of their program and it shows. They also do an excellent job of communicating how the students are doing and even go above and beyond customizing some of the curriculum based on kids' interests. If we had to do it over again, we'd choose Kids Elite again in a heartbeat. We truly could not recommend them enough.

All but one teacher we had were decent and kids stations are fun, creative and play based which we appreciated. However, little to no communication channel between teachers and parents, sub standard old school discipline used when kids misbehave, very outdated shame based (office visits, labeling them as "if you do one more bad thing", separating kids), defensive attitude when problems arise from head of school, and teachers. In particular try to stay away from Teacher Masami's class as she is well known to be very strict and just mean.

She has a really warm and welcoming home studio with a lot of natural light and art supplies. It's on harbor bay island in a very quiet community with lots of parking. At first class the 4 of us did watercolors. Ada taught us how to mix colors and different techniques. Her watercolors were high quality and gave us all our own supplies. She had photos of feathers ready for us and taught us how to paint them step by step. We all learned a lot and had a great time. The second class we did a private lesson for a 10 year old. Ada let her choose what she wanted to paint and they did acrylics. She taught her how to layer colors and provide shadows and depth for the various items in her painting. We would definitely return and appreciated Ada's friendliness and expertise.

My boys had expressed an interest in art classes for homeschool. It was amazing to see what they could do on a first visit here and both were so excited with their results. We were greeted warmly and I was presented information in a straight forward and easy to understand manner while my boys went off to class. My boys are both age 12 and liked the set up for learning, the options of the different plans and types of art they could choose from and the instructors were all warm and helpful. As someone with chemical sensitivities, one of the instructors there was heavily fragranced and I had difficulties staying for too long.. For me, that was the only downfall as my kids don't particularly like being around strong fragrance either, though they don't have the reactions to it that I do. Overall, this was a fantastic experience. You can choose from different plans and frequencies. The times ultimately didn't work out for us with baseball practice and the 20+ min drive from Livermore, but continue to consider some of the camps they offer and they will attend if it works into our schedule.

Definitely recommend checking these guys out. ** In addition: there was a two year old that kept up the entire time also!

I shared my concerns with Mr. Lawrence about the challenges we were facing both at school and at home. He reassured me not to worry and said he would help my son. In the beginning, Ayden struggled a lot. He couldn't stay in his chair for even five minutes without getting up. Mr. Lawrence took the time to have a serious talk with him about the importance of focusing and doing his work. Throughout the process, Mr. Lawrence was patient and understanding of what Ayden was going through. He truly cared. Over time, he became like an extra father figure not only to Ayden but to many of the kids at PEL Tutoring. Mr. Lawrence and his wife genuinely care about the well-being of the children in their program. In just the last few months, my son has improved so much. I 100% stand by PEL Tutoring -- it is absolutely worth it.

I thought that's ok. As long as she will learn. FIRST ALAM, they require a whole month deposit for both children. That should have been a flag for me. I'm not renting an apartment. There is nothing called I pay two months, and telling me one of the months are a deposit. Of course they will do anything to take that money. The fine print on their policies is ridiculous. Second Alarm, I had planned a trip called in there always no one to talk to. You have to do any communication through email. Let them know ahead of time that Both children won't be able to attend. They offered me another day for makeup. After two weeks, I had a conflict of schedule due to an emergency. I sent an email requesting help, to have them switch the children to a different day. I get a long email about their policy. And they will NOT do a makeup for them. THEY ENEDED UP TAKING THE MONEY FOR THE CLASS WITHOUT PROVIDING SERVICES. My problem is the kids were going here for 3 month. They learned nothing. THIS PLACE IS ALL ABOUT HOW TO STEAL PARENTS MONEY. They stole the deposit under the umbrella of policies, took they money for the classes I had emailed and said I have emergency, and can't have them make it. Don't recommend this place for parents.
