I was a patient of Avesta Ketamine and Wellness for over three years, and during that time, I paid…read moremore than $30,000 out of pocket. Initially, I wrote a Google review so positive they quoted me on their website. Unfortunately, as time moves on, things change, and so for the good of those seeking help, I've decided to update my review to reflect the current reality. Particularly over the last year, Avesta has sought to rapidly expand, and things have seemed to dramatically decline. Staff turnover became commonplace, and finding enough staff to service appointments seemed to become a struggle. Worse still, the care became very inconsistent. I started having a lot of problems with IV's not being properly done, or the NP not even being able to insert the IV catheter. It got to the point where I was actually afraid to go to my appointments. Each week I was essentially receiving an infusion from a stranger, some of whom were really not very good at their jobs. There were times I didn't feel safe when I had to go alone. Once, I pressed the emergency button, and nobody came. In order to have any impact on the underlying depression, mindset during a Ketamine infusion is critically important. I found more and more that my infusions stopped working. As existing problems continued and new problems arose, my concerns fell on deaf ears. I even contacted Ladan Eshkevari with the help of my therapist to try to explain concerns around my treatment at her clinics. She didn't seem to want to hear about any problems. Every time I tried to talk to her about it in person, she shut me down. As the problems continued, I became more disinclined to express concerns because she always became so defensive and combative when I did. My epiphany that care is less important than profit to Avesta came recently when I woke up very sick one morning. I was so ill I passed out and fell on the floor, with a horrible headace and vomiting. My husband insisted on immediately taking me to Urgent Care, but I was supposed to have an infusion appointment that day, so I texted "Dr." Eshkevari to let her know why I wouldn't be there. Her response was to insist that I still pay the full price of the treatment I didn't receive. Finally, I put the "Dr." in quotes when referring to Ladan Eshkevari because, while she does hold a PhD in physiology, she is not a medical doctor, and I feel like Avesta is sometimes a little misleading on that point.

Avesta Ketamine and Wellness - This is a hematoma that I got recently from a blown vein while trying to place IV. She decided to "try it" anyway and this happened.

Most recently, Dr. LeBaron has…read morehelped me to correct hormonal imbalances, and her precision recommendations are based in such in-depth knowledge and practical interpretations, communicated with clarity and without fuss. Quite possibly my IQ goes up a point every time that I meet with her. I can't say enough to praise Jessica Coleman, the physical therapist. If not for her, my quality of life wouldn't be as good as it is. As someone who facilitates sessions to help clients (a different kind of work, RES), I find Jessica to be a powerful role model for me of compassionate, generous, skillful, all-in service. Rebecca Berkson's acupuncture is just plain superb. Although I've had many acupuncturists, I'd have to rate her as the very best. Also, I'd like to give a shout-out to Robin and Nan, nurses on staff. Consistently they're so responsive, professional, and kind. June, who helps with insurance, has been dependably diligent. And remarkably patient, too, now that I've finally switched over to Medicare as my primary insurance. One final point, about the high standard for customer service. The culture of service at the Kaplan Center really stands out for me. Such authentic caring, personal commitment to service, and professional excellence. It just shines through. Over the years I've been glad to recommend many friends, and even some clients, to the Kaplan Center. Why do I put my personal reputation on the line in this way? Because the staff has earned my trust over and over again.

If I could give Dr. Hayduk more than 5 stars, I would--she's a 10 in my book!!! I have suffered…read morefrom adrenal fatigue for more than 12 years and have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on all kinds of treatments from various practitioners, including holistic MDs, another naturopath, acupuncturists, and even a hormone doctor. Nothing helped in the long term. Yet I was becoming debilitated by the crushing fatigue, brain fog and muscle weakness that are hallmarks of the problem. This is an ailment that traditional doctors don't even recognize because there's no drug therapy for it, never mind that at least 50%, and likely a far higher percentage, of Americans are suffering from it. I had nearly given up hope when I went to Dr. Hayduk, but her methodical, science-based manner won me over, not to mention her great sense of humor. One of the most helpful aspects of my first visit with her is that she went through all of the supplements I was then taking and explained why they weren't working for me, or worse, might actually be harmful. I've worked in the supplement field and used to attend all the trade shows, so I really questioned her on some of her recommendations. But darned if she wasn't right! I swapped out everything I was taking for what she advised, and in just a few days, I was starting to have more energy, feel more positive. Still, I've had some initial good results before, so I wasn't completely convinced. But now, here it is, almost 3 months since I first saw Dr. Hayduk, and I am much, much improved--almost like a normal, healthy person. In contrast to the doctors who would have me come back multiple times and sell me gobs of high-priced supplements, I've only seen Dr. Hayduk for two visits, and she had me do one large blood workup of some usual and some relatively obscure tests, which she went over in minute detail. The blood work was brilliant: It uncovered an old virus that's been hanging out in my system for years, dragging down my immune system too. That likely explains why adrenal hormones and other typical adrenal repair supplements never worked for me. The other aspect of Dr. Hayduk's treatment that I really appreciate is she tries to use as many edible or drinkable additions to regular diet as possible, as opposed to requiring patients to toss back handfuls of capsules. Furthermore, she gives terrific economical suggestions for supplement sourcing, such as for the adaptogen she wanted me to take. The one she likes is pretty pricey, as most adaptogens are, so she gives the other option of purchasing bulk powders online and encapsulating them yourself. That has saved me a boatload of money, and allowed me to take a larger quantity of an expensive supplement than I might have otherwise. I'm sure the larger quantities are helping. There are many more praiseworthy things I could say about Dr. Hayduk, but you really just need to experience her pinnacle of care for yourself. If you have a longstanding problem for which you have been unable to find lasting help, she will get to the bottom of it. She is truly one of a kind.
