Kumra has been an amazing partner in our son's oral health and development. We got a late start…read morebecause we were overseas in his early teens, but everyone at Kumra has worked patiently and compassionately with our son to improve his bite and his smile. He has not closely followed the protocol for Invisalign, but Dr. Mina has been an absolute gem: giving gentle encouragement or matter-of-fact redirection as needed. Everyone from the receptionists to the assistants are friendly, polite and professional. You can't go wrong with Kumra Orthodontics. (Alas, our son prefers that I not post a pic of him and his pretty smile)

From the…read morehelpful, sweet ladies at the front desk to the office management staff (thanks for the delightful coffees!!), knowledgeable orthodontic/clinical assistants and, of course, Dr. Mina and Dr. Bob, they're all amazing! I received excellent and reasonably priced treatment for realigning my upper and lower teeth to not hit (and prevent damage!) - and it was always such a nice experience. Good people who really care and really know their stuff. Whether you wind up primarily seeing the fabulous Dr. Mina or Dr. Bob (what a card!), you can't go wrong. Also loved that they can make their own "Invisilign," which is a more approachable option and works all the same. Also, the parking garage at 1160 19th St. NW is super close, very reasonable on Spot Hero, and likewise, super nice folks!! Cannot recommend Kumra enough! (DC-location patient).

I think if I were teaching dental students (which I am not), I would require a mandatory day trip to Dr. Sokoly's office so that the students could observe dental care at its best, to say nothing of the importance of hiring an outstanding staff of outstanding individuals. Unfortunately, this Doctor did a great job at fixing my gum situation, but decided at some point…read morethat I had no value as a patient. My issue was I had a decayed tooth implant where the bone in my jaw had atrophied significantly over time - the implant had been in my jaw for over 35 years and had come out due to lack of bone structure - the implant wouldn't hold. After my dentist told me to contact and meet with Dr. Friedman, I had a nice initial consultation and decided to let her replace some of my jaw bone and gum needed for reconstruction. Although I think her efforts were "decent" the gum and bone did not sufficiently/cosmetically cover the loss and visually it wasn't sufficient to replace the dental implant/bridge with her efforts. I went back in for a check up and she said it had mostly healed, but I think she realized that she wasn't capable of fixing the issue - at this point she had me setup an Appointment about 1 month later to see how the healing was going. During that time, my Appointment was cancelled - without any contact to me. When I emailed and called the day before the appointment, I was told not to bother coming back in - they informed me that they could not handle the bridge or implant on their side, and all I could do was contact another provider. I was not informed of my situation and I was not allowed to create an Appointment to get more information/details - I was Sh*t out of luck!

I could hardly recommend Dr. Friedman highly enough. She has done two gum grafts for me, both of…read morewhich could hardly have gone more smoothly, with the most recent quite remarkably pain free, and exactly the hoped-for results in both cases. So she clearly knows her craft. But what has most stood out to me is what a kind person and excellent doctor Dr. Friedman is in terms of caring about each patient as a person. She has always welcomed my questions and spent whatever time may be needed to answer them. When I asked last year about delaying my graft till this year because otherwise my insurance would not cover it at all, she was 100% understanding and reassured me that it would be fine to wait. Remarkably, when she picked up the phone when I called her office to ask whether I should call my dentist to ask for my latest x-rays, she said no need for me to do that -- she did want the x-rays, but had my dentist's email address, so she emailed my dentist herself. How many doctors would do that??? And Dr. Friedman pays great attention. Before my most recent gum graft, I asked about using my fluoride rinse and mouthwash -- "Listerine equivalent," as I put it (it is a generic brand). After the graft, at the end of the appointment, when giving me the mouthrinse I should use for the next week, she said after a week, I can return to my fluoride rinse and "Listerine equivalent." That's paying attention to what the patient says for you. In short, you could not be in better hands than when under the care of Dr. Friedman.

Dr. Saba is an excellent dentist. My wife found her practice after researching practitioners in…read moreour network in the area, and we've been going to Falls Church Dental now for at least 4 years. Specifically, here's why I'd recommend Dr. Saba: (1) zero up-sells. Dr. Saba only advises fluoride at extra cost to me, which I always opt for - no gadgets, whitening kits, fancy brushes, etc. (2) You're dealing with the dentist at least 50% of the time. A typical appointment involves Dr. Saba cleaning your teeth and evaluating them, followed by a polish performed by the hygienist. This is a huge shift from my former dentist in Pennsylvania, whose hygienists did everything and you really only saw the dentist for like 5 minutes. (3) Thorough, quality work. Dr. Saba's cleanings are thorough (trust me, if your teeth aren't a little sore the next day, they probably aren't getting that deep dentist clean), and her filling work is excellent. She did my first (and so far only) cavity, and was courteous with my needle-phobia. Dr. Saba's office is clean and tidy, and her procedural equipment is spotless with all the expected sanitary practices in place. I couldn't find dust or dirt if I tried, and I've never spent enough time in the waiting room to review the magazines since I've never had to wait. I was hesitant to write this review, only because I don't want too many new patients to make it hard for me to get an appointment :)
