We got the package that included the highlight, teaser, toast, and ceremony films, in addition to the raw footage (add-on). Loved watching it all afterwards. They have a bunch of options you can choose from and their videographer (redhead, I think his name was James?) was delightful to work with and had worked expensively with our photographer (TJ Shull) beforehand, so it was easy! He basically told us to not even pay attention to him and he'd just do his thing, which made it a breeze. Definitely recommend going with SNM for your wedding or scent!

Their recommendation, and our decision to book turned out to be the best idea we had. Something New Media (specifically Mike, who shot our wedding) was incredible to work with. Mike made us feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera, had a great eye & vision, and knew exactly what to capture and when. The video turned out amazing, and we're so glad to have been able to capture our ceremony & evening on video. Thank you Something New Media!

I was excited that they were asking me questions and seemingly getting my responses on video. I liked how I thought they were setting things up with the videography. We took our bridal party photos and SOME photos with family. Prior to the wedding date we had a long phone conversation going over all the pictures my husband and I were wanting, and maybe it was just because we were overwhelmed with the heat, the rush of the day, or something else, but it seems like none of those pictures were taken that we wanted. We brought our dog halfway across town to have pictures with us and it seems like he's only in a couple. The reference pictures I sent to the photographer looked nothing like what was taken. I'm still upset that I don't have pictures with my in laws, my parents individually, my extended family, etc. The rain picked up right after our ceremony and while we were outside taking our landscape pictures. Given that this is a main selling point when they show their galleries, I was disappointed that we had seldom pictures and only one drone shot. Again though, the day was busy. But I wish they pushed us more to get more content, or even candids. Anything to preserve the day. Once dinner was over they asked us if we wanted to go back out and take more pictures but the light was gone and the party was starting. We didn't really want to leave our family waiting so we opted out. They got good footage of the party, and eventually let us know they were heading out for the night. A few days later we received our pictures which were for the most part great, apart from a few blurry and overexposed shots. A few weeks after that we got our videos-which is really where my disappointment sets in. Our compilation wedding video was very nice, no complaints there. The raw video of the ceremony however has major audio issues. The speech videos also have terrible audio, and some are missing. The videographer was kind enough to email me my speech to my mom, but again terrible audio. Given what we invested for the photos and video, I was let down. I still see content made by the company showing their dedication to getting the best for clients and am saddened that we didn't get that treatment. Everyone was incredibly kind but the quality of the pictures and video speaks for itself. Our DJ Tayzen however was incredible, did exactly what we asked, and was very interactive with us, asking questions and keeping us informed. Getting a hold of someone to even book was a pain as well. It took multiple emails and phone calls.

Most aspects of the wedding will come and go (hopefully not the spouse!) but a video would allow to enjoy our day over and over again. After a bit of research, we decided to use Simply Cinema. They did a great job on the highlight film. I could watch that 10 minute clip over and over again . . . and I have. I would have liked a little more human/live interaction. In all of the exchanges there was only one phone call (I think, maybe, that may have been the first phone call I made to initiate service). There was a lot of communication via email and an online survey to capture what I wanted in my video. Very convenient, yet not much of a personal feel. I have never used a videographer before, so knowing how to answer the questions on the survey was a little difficult, it would have been helpful to have a live person to talk me through my options. For example, I was asked to select three songs to be on my highlight video. The three I picked were not available due to copyright, so they picked songs for me. The songs they picked are fine (again, I love the highlight video), however if I was given a list of 'approved' songs to pick from I might have been able to get songs that I wanted. The two videographers that filmed our wedding day were awesome, I really enjoyed having them there. Nice, funny, just kinda quietly hung out in the background, getting everything on tape, and stepping in to help or offer a suggestion when needed. Turns out there was a problem with one of the cameras and the wide shot during the wedding was blurry. Kind of a bummer when I was saying my vows. After notifying the owner we did end up getting the raw footage at no cost to make up for the blurry shot. That was nice. Overall, the work was good and the prices reasonable. A little to be desired with the communication, but if you know that going into it, you can be prepared for it and still get a good product without blowing the budget.

When I called to schedule my appointment, I was told they were booked til after my groupon expired, so they were extending it, which I thought was lovely. The girl on the phone was super nice and asked if I wanted to add hair and makeup, which I immediately said yes to. I also added on an outfit change, woohoo! After booking my appointment, I was emailed a list of what to wear and what not to wear and other important tips. When the day finally arrived, I was super excited, but still a little nervous. When I got there, the makeup/hair chick was super cool and helped ease my nerves. She was fun to chat with and we were cracking up while she curled my mane. I usually am pretty minimal with my makeup, so I almost crapped at the amount she put on my face, but she said it looked better to have more on in the photos. Then Melissa showed up (my paparazzi) and she was super nice, too. She showed me around the studio and I showed her the outfits I brought and we talked about what we were going to shoot first and background colors, etc. Now, clearly, I'm not a model...however, she gave really helpful directions and made it a little easier for me to pose for the camera. Well, a glass of Champagne was also included in the shoot, so that helped a little, too:) After the shoot, I sat down with her and we looked through all of the photos and chose my faves for her to email to me for me to decide which ones I wanted prints of. They just arrived in my inbox yesterday and the little lady and I looked them over together. Needless to say, it's going to be hard to pick just a few, as I really love a lot of them!
