Sometimes Karma leads you to a place or situation that ideally suits your needs or desires. Such was the occasion when she left me to this place. In all honesty this might be the very best Italian food I have ever had.
Its owner, Tony, aver engaging man, is building what I hope to be (first full year in this location) a very successful restaurant predicated upon material and ingredients acquired by artisanal suppliers and includes many providers he knows well and refers to them as his friends.
The Chef de Cuisine, Dario is also very engaging, is from Italy and produces the best pizza and meatballs one could hope for. The back of the house staff also includes a young man (I am a pretty old Fk'r) named Robin who joined us out front for a picture I've posted and taken by, yes, Tony himself.
We plan on returning prior to departure from our 1 week stay in Valencia and we would love to see his magic spread to the USA, hint-hint Seattle, please.
If you have ever read my reviews I typically don't critique food as I am not a foodie.
Tony's place is decorated in an eclectic array of pictures (Bob Marley to the Dude himself Jeff Bridges) and memorabilia which can help pass the time by appreciating the care in which it is all assembled.
