Every single place we found on yelp that was supposed to be open for takeout wasn't. Honestly Lethbridge as a town wasn't looking too great and we were about to give up. We swung by Modern Chinese as Don was closing up shop for the night. He greeted us warmly and was happy to make us some dinner. I told him to pick any dishes he wanted as we have eaten a lot of authentic Chinese cuisine and are open to just about anything. He said no problem and sent the order back to the kitchen. While we waited, Don sat out in the lobby and talked to us about our trip and gave us all kinds of travel recommendations. What a super nice guy. When we got back to our campground we enjoyed a great meal. He gave us dry fried bbq ribs, noodles with pork and vegetables, chicken with water spinach, salt/pepper beef with broccoli, and shrimp with cashews. Every since dish was excellent. When the chicken chow mein came out it had no noodles and no chicken. Funny part about this experience: I had first thought maybe some places had different kinds of chow mein and sometimes it doesn't come with noodles.
