But to be completely honest, the main reason I keep coming back to this location is because of Heni. ​She is always so polite, friendly, and consistently goes above and beyond with her customer service. We took two more trips to Mimi's in a short span of time because we were rebuffed the first time after arriving at 8:49 p.m., and told that "last call for the kitchen" had already occurred at 8:45 p.m. The restaurant advertises a closure of 9:00 p.m. each night of the week, so we thought our arrival was timely as long as we beat that time. Regardless, we returned again a few days later when we enjoyed Carrot Raisin Nut Madeleines slathered in butter before I addressed an ordered crock of French Onion Soup, which was hot, cheesy, and an authentic French dish. But I was not pleased with my main of Chicken Pot Pie. Its crust was fine but the interior consisted mostly of peas and carrots with a rich cream sauce that I didn't like, probably because it was somewhat bitter and lacked chicken flavoring that is commonly experienced in even a frozen chicken pot pie. Diane liked her entree of Chicken Cordon Bleu and Mashed Potatoes. But she found Au Gratin Potatoes to be too peppery. I sampled her Au Grain Potatoes, and found them to be not cheesy enough for my taste. David, our server, was excellent, cheerfully carrying out our requests for more butter, more napkins, untoasted French bread, and toasted French bread. read more

Not to be dramatic, pretty sure my family had a worse Easter than Jesus, thanks to your restaurant. Just kidding - I don't believe in that dude. Our Easter dinner at your Victorville, CA location was regular secular bad. Absolutely would not recommend. 1. When we arrived, we stepped into the restaurant and just stood there at the front. No greeter, no greeting from anyone. From where we were standing, I could see into the kitchen - I could see staff and I assume they could see us, but no one seemed concerned. 2. Eventually, a staff member did wander our way. She seated us, left us with the pre fixe menus and then disappeared. We never saw her again (she seemed nice, I hope she's doing well.) I don't know exactly how long we were sitting there with ZERO service, but it was long enough for my parents to wonder why they didn't get the regular menus, long enough for my mom to go back to the front to get a regular menu. Long enough for me to get up walk to the kitchen to get the attention of one of the THREE staff who were just standing there. Long enough for me to report back to my parents and have them not be convinced and want to speak to a manger. Long enough for the guy (who would eventually become our server) to wander by and confirm pre fixe was the only option. Long enough for us to discuss amongst ourselves for at least another minute before another staff member FINALLY purposely came to check on us. 3. I don't know who she was (name or position), but she was wearing black overalls and I assume she was someone on the higher end of the staff hierarchy from her demeanor. I asked her to explain how things were working for the day and with ZERO rizz, salesmanship or customer service skills - she pointed to the menu and said "You pick one thing from each section of that menu." And instantly became my least favorite server in 2026. Talking to me like I'm stupid is NEVER the move. (To be fair, she may not have meant it that way and may have genuinely been just as unsure as we were.) Anyway my parents were hungry and tired and decided to stay. My mom asked her for 4 waters without lemon (and you can probably guess how that went). 4. Eventually, out server came back over to take our order. And I want to be very clear here -- I have no beef and barely any bones to pick with him -- he was very nice and I know he was doing his best. Your company did NOT set him up for a win. When he took our orders, I asked if I could switch out the rice from the salmon dish with mashed potatoes (which, as you would know, were being offered with another dish) he said he thought that would be fine. Apparently it was not. He came back later to say no substitutions -- which, if that's the rule, fine BUT NO ONE TOLD US THAT. You don't tell a customer yes and then say "No." And you especially don't do it on a day when there is barely anyone in the restaurant and I have eyes on no less than two staff standing around the entire time. It's not like I was making an outlandish request at a busy time. He said I could add the mash as an additional side, I asked if it would cost extra, he said yes but wasn't exactly sure how much. I said to forget it. 5. At that point, I asked if gratuity was included in the price and he said it was not. And had I not been so hangry - I would have laughed because WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! And what is the point of this thing?? We're paying extra for things we don't want, for supernaturally slow service, for no substitutions AND tip is not included? Slow clap for the audacity. Y'all are WILD for that. 6. And finally -- when it came time for dessert, the only options were chocolate covered strawberries, molten lava cake (chocolate) and tiramisu (topped with chocolate) and as a representative of the small (but real) community who doesn't like chocolate or coffee... three strikes. You should really have some kind of alternate option. So those are the six points that were lost. I know food service can be thankless work, (I would usually say "hospitality" but that is NOT was Mimi's was offering on this particular Sunday.) It feels like whoever planned it, did so with no other agenda than to make some easier holiday money with zero trade off benefit for the customer -- no bottomless drinks, no gratuity included, no substitutions, no amazing price or amazing food (it was exactly fine). I'm not gonna say you have lost my business forever, you never had it -- I have never thought to myself "I really want Mimi's today"-- but my parents love your restaurant and today could have been such an easy layup. There's no chance of us partaking of one your pre fixe menus again, but moving forward, maybe (hopefully) you can attempt to do better for others. Thanks for a story to tell, I guess. ps... Hadn't eaten at a Mimi's in decades, and never here in high desert. That was until an insurance meeting there late last year. I was thoroughly impressed by the food, and most of the staff. Today I went to treat my friend for lunch and we both were pleasantly surprised. Food was fresh, and service from our young male waiter was superb. I regret not getting his name, but do know he has another job at Samurai Sushi. I mention so he can be acknowledged. He was genuinely kind, professional, friendly, and so very good at his job. I so appreciate sincere service from start to finish. A sweet soul indeed. This second visit to this location was spot on with my veggie sandwich. The restaurant was clean, and music not bad or crazy loud. Wait time, not bad either. Not often I eat sandwiches, but know I'll be back. read more

Cozy Atmosphere, Delicious Food, Outstanding Service! We split a Crab Cake Benedict, and it was absolutely amazing--perfectly cooked, flavorful, and fresh. The staff was fantastic, especially our server Aaron, and even served our order on two separate plates, making it easy to share. We also grabbed a Pineapple Upside-Down Muffin to go, which was just as delicious--sweet, moist, and full of flavor. On another visit, we had one of the best lattes ever at a great price, and bonus points for offering decaf! The café has a warm, inviting atmosphere, and the service is always friendly and attentive. This place was all around terrible. Slow service and bad food. The batter that was used for the waffles clearly and had something spoiled, it tasted like sour milk. The server says, "oh yeahh it's like that sometimes " . Everything else tasted bad but that was for sure spoiled. We weren't the only ones complaining about the waffles and they still didn't care. read more

The level of service seems to have gone down over the past year. There seems to be less employees in the restaurant. One employee was taking care of one large area and another area was partially closed. The food is still good, just the waiting time is longer to get the food. read more

I use to go to Mimi's when I lived down the hill and it was very good. Hummmm the service was normal, the staff was polite, could use a little more flavor with the food. I'm not saying it's bad because it's not, I think they need to step it up to stay in competition. In other words Mimi time to add new things. read more

Mimi's restaurant has been my go-to restaurant, and I am totally happy with the service and the food. It is consistent, fresh, and delicious. Today, Chantelle was my server and she is conscientious; before I realize I am missing something, she brings it. She works with the right attitude, happy, and on the ball. Is there any wonder why the restaurant chain is sliding down the slope of bankruptcy? I ordered a simple omelette with black coffee. Let's see; I waited 10 minutes before seeing any employees at all. Took our name, announced they had a large catering order to fill. Why would front of house be helping w/that? ...bad management? Waited 20 minutes to be seated after that. Did I say the place wasn't that busy? Waited 10 minutes to order & 20 more minutes for 2 coffees & 2 muffins, 2 scrambled eggs. We were served raw breakfast sausage on a child's plate and an adult plate. Waitress had attitude about it. Took it back and brought back more sausage that was also raw. She was Unapologetic about it. Our food was also brought out cold. The restaurant was not that busy and service still took a long time. We will not be going back. Stopped in for a brunch on a Saturday after realizing how busy the Cracker Barrel was we turned into this Mimi's and have No regrets. We were seated right away. +Host and servers were prompt and courteous +Latte was delicious and coffee was hot +Food was great portions, I personally don't need mounds of potatoes on my plate I feel it's wasteful. Ordered an omelette, ham and eggs, latte and a muffin. +Server checked in plenty despite being busy +A++ on the very clean & fully private bathrooms. -I do feel that my potatoes (while good flavor) were not hot. -Tomato in the pico de gallo was not good. I did need to ask server for a few items but seeing as how the guy seemed to be the only one there and doing his best to keep it together. All in all a 4.5 read more

Mimis of Victorville is my absolute favorite place for brunch. This year the Thanksgiving Holiday was almost canceled but Mimi's was open for the Thanksgiving Holiday. I was easily able to place an order online here on Yelp and that was appreciated because as previously mentioned my family almost didn't have thanksgiving dinner because our plans canceled unexpectedly. Been 5 years since we eat there. Decided to try it again. Long story short .poor presentation on plating. poor or just non caring do the minimum to get by service. Med well does not mean med rare. having no lunch specials makes us ask why? Food itself left no calling card saying you got to get back here! From what I see this place may just be another foot note like Marie Callenders in this town. really don't see the value when considering the price you pay here for food. It's right off the freeway and easy parking. The 3 course meal option was perfect option to split and try various menu options. They brought out all our food split into two plates and enough time between the salad and main dish so it didn't feel rushed. The service was friendly and warm. read more

My friend and I went for breakfast, and once served (I ordered chicken and waffles and she ordered Santa Fe omelet with potato/onion added. Our food was served (hers) lukewarm mine cold the whipped butter didn't melt and the chicken was fried hard and cold( not sure it was fresh, as even after cutting it it was cold inside... 18 minutes later the waiter came to ask if we wanted more coffee, by then we were over it! Very disappointing this evening. Website states location closes at 9, called to confirm from the road they close at 9 and was told they do. Upon arrival was told they close at 8:30 and that I could take my order to-go that they were only open until 8:30 p.m. Manager "Jaime" was short and really could careless I drove across Victorville to eat here. My review comes from the mistake of ordering postmates from this place. Maaaaaaan. The food was disgusting. The portion size also was no good which fine cuz I am throwing it out. But for the cost of delivery on postmates it should be normal portion sizes. Since they charge more on the food on top of the delivery charges. Even the muffin wasn't fresh and awful. Terribly expensive. I get it. It's California and everything is pricey. But I got a $16 waffle (nothing special about it) and I got fruit with it. For $3.00 I got a couple of blueberries and maybe half of a strawberry. That was ridiculous!!! So I won't be going back there. read more
