Throw a dart and order whatever you hit. I love the pollo frito, jabuguitos, salpicón de mariscos, solomillo a la cerveza, brochetas de pescado, salmorejo, and I could go on. And even more amazing is the awesome selection of sherry on their menu. The vibe is more modern and different from some of the more traditional places in the city, and the food also carries this slightly more modern vibe, but it's amazing and it should be a must-go stop on any trip to Sanlúcar. I've also always had great service here. For me, it's one of the best.

It shares a block with a few other restaurants we will be trying and reviewing as well. Why the average rating? We're going to have to go back to really decide what we think about the food compared to some of the other Italian joints we've tried over the last few weeks. They are solid on the following: - Service was super friendly; if they have a lot of English they aren't using it, which is fine because they were patient with our horrible Spanish and that's what we need right now. - Atmosphere is great; they have a patio area in front of the restaurant complete with umbrellas and a patio area under cover. They have water misters going about every 15 seconds for their plants; we found it not to be annoying, but to make it very comfortable to sit on the indoor patio. (we loved the tinto!) This afternoon for lunch we had: - Tortellini Bolognese (son LOVED it) - Spaghetti Pomodoro (daughter was meh; she LOVED our son's tortellini tho!) Hubby and I split the house salad -- not a fan of the mayo based salads and won't order those again off the menu. Had to try it at least once tho! =) Both of us went with a pizza. Every cut is delicious but I was partial to the secreto. Secreto iberico refers to a cut of the iberico pig, hidden behind the shoulder, that boasts marbling to rival kobe beef. Secreto is to kobe is to otoro. The portion (1 kg) is enough to share between 4 people without feeling sick afterward. That's 24 euros for a small mountain of expertly-grilled pork from happy, free-roaming, acorn-munching pigs. One can only dream that when she dies, she should turn into something so glorious.
