My children have learned so many life skills and independence from being at OWM, as well as educationally learning each day with lessons. A great perk is the extra activities you can (pay extra) for like soccer, martial arts, Sportball, Flippers, dance, chess club. All activities that my kids love and thrive in, and they get to do it during the day while they are at daycare. OWM also provides breakfast, lunch and snack, which is a great perk. They do fun activities like fall festival, halloween parade, holiday recital, summer parties, career week, book fair, etc. You get updates throughout the day on Brightwheel, helping you stay connected with what your children are doing throughout the day. We love OWM and are very grateful to have found it.

After being on the waitlist for about 6 weeks, my son started in the Infant B classroom. His teachers Ms. Demica and Ms. Lily have been absolutely wonderful. He always smiles when he sees Ms. Demica and goes right into her arms. And there's no doubt in my mind that Ms. Lily was put on this earth to work with children. They're amazing teachers! Anytime I drop by, my son is kept clean and always looks well cared for. The facility is tidy and the classroom is so spacious, allowing plenty of room to crawl around and play. They do outside time when the weather is nice too. Also, I really enjoy the photos they send us through the app. Kids can be sensitive to change. When we switched daycares, of course my son was confused and upset at drop off. Ms. Lily in Infant B went above and beyond that day, taking extra care of my crying son and sending us many, many photos on that first day, and it really eased our anxious minds! My son fully adjusted in about 1.5 weeks. And finally, I love that OWM has theme days and events for the children and parents to enjoy! Keep up the great work, OWM!

My daughter is always so positively challenged and is exposed to so many different perspectives and cultures of the world. This is something very important to us as my husband is a 1st generation Cuban-American and I am 7th generation Central Texan.. To have the opportunity for her to attend is truly a perfect example of the American dream. Having the opportunity to provide and build this sacred space for our children is a true gift. As parents, we are all deeply committed as a whole. It simply does not get any better than this. To be a part of such a complete, quality IB program is something we never realized we could achieve for our daughter. But now, I could never imagine our lives any other way. The student body is collectively taught to respect and genuinely care for others. They are taught to honor and recognize each others' difference AND celebrate them. Each family and each child, each teacher and each staff member bring such amazing experience and life lessons to share to the table in this environment. You see it more and more with each visit. It just continues to grow stronger. The positive energy is palatable when you walk in the door to see the children and staff interacting. It is through building such strong foundations, socially and academically, that in just its first year, we are running strong with SO much progress. Such exponential growth has taken place at just at the turn of our 1st year anniversary this July. Again, no matter how much pride I try to convey, I cannot do it all justice. You must come see it for yourself to see where your family may become a part of such a vital, life-changing community. We hope to see you there! Blessed be.

$20k per year tuition fees with super average curriculum execution…read more As a parent expect to receive multiple extremely long winded emails every day requesting you make/bring something to school - I would count myself as very organized yet found it extremely difficult to keep up with all their requests Unusually high Headmaster attrition - we had 3 different Headmasters in 1 year - not a great sign Worst part of the experience was when we ended up needing to move a new town outside Austin and a new school - when I cancelled (2 months before the beginning of the school year) - IST insisted on not only keeping my deposit (I absolutely understand this) but the tuition fees I paid in advance. The school year wasn't even close to starting! For a not-for-profit this is a fairly shameful business practice and a terrible moral example to our children. After I explained my position to the (at least right now current) head Brian he looked me in the eye and agreed the tuition fee refund I was asking for was fair - to which he then sent an email days later rescinding this and denying me a refund. Shady beyond belief. For these reasons I would not recommend sending your child to IST.

They claim to be Montessori yet don't allow for individuality and zero imaginary/free play ( if you tour the school notice the toys don't include dolls, animals, kitchen set, cars). I was concerned because my 20 month old wasn't adjusting (after a couple of weeks of being at their facility). I approached the administrator, Suma, in regards to this issue and said she'd "observe and speak with her teachers". In sum, in the middle of the front desk she went on and said my 20 month old "is a whiner and loner because she doesn't play with other children" and I should speak to a doctor about it. Anyone who has basic knowledge in developmental milestones should know that children BEGIN to play the together at the age of 2 and it is normal for them to play alone/parallel play. Suma also said that if my daughter doesn't nap we'd have to pick her up, I said that wasn't option because I had to work she responded by saying "well, then you have to make a choice on what's more important to you". When I went to pick up my daughter that day, the teachers confessed that Suma "only watched my daughter play for 2 minutes and ran with it" they were deeply apologetic and told me Suma was wrong. As I was leaving, I saw Suma eavesdropping on our conversation. She clearly runs they place as a dictatorship and labels children without any backing. Even though I had the paid the month in full, I dissnerolled my daughter from this school and placed her in Prodigy. I could not be any happier with my choice! All I can say is RUN! There are much better schools out there that will allow children to be children and treat you and your family with the respect and patience you deserve.

They go above and beyond to keep everything running so beautifully. And of course, we have to give special thanks to Miss Elizabeth, who is an incredible teacher. She creates a classroom that's both structured and full of joy, where every student feels seen and supported. One of the things that stands out most about this school is the sense of stability and consistency there's very little turnover, which says so much about how well the staff are treated and how much they love being here. We're truly grateful to be part of such a positive community. This school is a special place one that not only helps children learn and grow, but also makes families feel supported every step of the way.

The staff and parent community are very friendly and supportive, and it's always a joy to see how happy the kids are at the various market days and events the school puts on. I'm not usually one to post reviews but I realize that's a problem because then the negative voices get amplified and I feel it's important to give others a balanced view and not keep this gem of a school a secret. All I can speak to is my own experience, but I've found the school to be very safe, unique, diverse, engaging, and a real joy all around. If you're looking for something different then the typical corporate daycare environment and are okay with your child coming home a bit dirty from digging in the garden or trouncing around the creek, then go check out Wholesome Generation! The teachers love my son, and WANT to be with him all day, which is the number one thing I care about. Using Reggio-Emilia inspired learning, they have an amazing curriculum, and my son (2.5 yrs) comes home telling me about all the amazing adventures he experienced throughout the day! The Director is constantly iterating on already frat activities, adjustments to their space, and parent-learning opportunities and as first-time parents, we've been able to leverage this little community for support as well. We just had a student-led art show with a family picnic on their beautiful campus - such fun experiences! The few times I've given feedback (I'm pretty particular), the director and teacher were super receptive and made changes immediately! The owner, Terri, is someone I'll be forever indebted to. As a first time mom, I thought it was normal to have a pit in my stomach and tear up daily after dropping my son at his old daycare: the plight of a working mom, amiright?! Terri, who had never even met me in person, counseled me through tears for almost an hour on the phone --- I realized immediately that my current daycare was the pits and I had to get somewhere that was invested in my child. I can't say enough good things about Four Seasons - the staff, the kids, the community, the facilities -- all amazing!

Had to pull out our kiddo after seeing safety issues. Also there is so much turnover with teachers. My kiddo was always telling me of a new person teaching that the admins never told us about. Lack of communication and when I asked the admins questions, they snapped at me and got defensive. Then I looked at the licensing reports after one parent pulled out her infant for big safety concerns (documented in a high violation). Small school and so many teachers have left. In 2024 so far many violations including untrained teachers. We are thriving at our new school and it's cheaper, staff is nicer (communicates at least without snapping) and is a safer place for our little one. Also located right under a 5 G tower (see the other review - it's unsafe for that reason too). Here is the mess I found from licensing.
