My friend's Dad passed away and the funeral is tomorrow. I ordered flowers from Avas Flowers and paid for them to be expedited to ensure the delivery would happen tomorrow morning before the funeral. I'm in California, and at 5 PM Louisiana time I got a call from a call foreign center saying "they might not make the funeral". I asked for a manager, and when she came on the line, she said they definitely wouldn't make the funeral, but would try to avoid that in the future. DO NOT ORDER FLOWERS FOR A WEDDING FROM THIS FLORIST!!!! Save yourself the hassle. You have too much to do than fix all of their mistakes, unfortunately we used them and spent most of the wedding day fixing the brides bouquet using flowers we had to buy from rouses ! She neglected to get the centerpiece flowers we ordered and to top it off...... she ordered the wrong colors! We got red instead of burgundy, and pink instead of blush. Warning. Don't order from this florist. I ordered a large-premium arrangement for my mothers 70th birthday. Well, since it appears this florist did not have premium flowers cheaper ones were used and it looked more like a small size arrangement. In addition , I ordered a ballon for the special occasion - they sent a kids balloon even though this was for a 70 year old woman. Really - pitiful. I don't mind spending money but get freaking ticked off when companies do not hold up there customer service responsibilities for me what a customer ordered - spent money on. I just spent 30 minutes on this website ordering flowers for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. After the long drawn out process, entering all info, typing up what the card should say and placing the order I got a call from the florist stating "We don't go that far out." I said, "Then why did your system accept the order? Did you charge my card?" HUGE waste of my time I am extremely disappointed and must now go in search of another local florist. If I could put a less than one star I would. My husband called to order flowers. They messed up the order and didn't seem to understand a simple order. He went online and placed the order based on the picture of the arrangement he wanted. I didn't get anything close to what he ordered. But we sure did get charged twice for a wrong order. Not only that, the arrangement was not worth what he had paid. I called to complain about being charged two times for the wrong arrangement to be delivered and was met with a very disrespectful owner who yelled in my ear telling me I was only charged one time. My bank statement says another story. She even was so uncouth enough to say she would look into my charge but she probably would not get back with me. Extremely unprofessional. Im hoping to get my money back from the bank. These people seem to be running a great scam. I'll never do business with them again. read more
