We stayed here for 3 nights after booking a site online using the KOA App, this is a very easy process and although we weren't assigned a site at the time of booking we were able to book a premium site being we were staying a few days. There are a lot of RV Sites and Cabins here along with a spacious tent camping area. We stayed at site F1 which is on the far side of the campground some complain about the traffic noise from Interstate 10 we did not have any issues it was barely noticeable. Our premium site had a concrete pad which was very level it also had a nice concrete / paver patio complete with a brick fire pit and a clean gas grill with a full bottle of propane. This site is on the end so we only had one friendly neighbor on one side and the sites were separated by a tall hedge so plenty of privacy. The full hook ups lined up perfectly with our Class A Motorhome so I only need the minimum length of water and sewer hoses and less than 10 of my 50 Amp electric cord all the utilities work fine and there was good water pressure. The check-in process was fast and easy, Lincoln was working the counter and he explained everything I needed to know and provided me with a map and directions to our site (no escort needed), there was plenty of room on the paved drive to maneuver our rig in and out of the park. We didn't really use any of the amenities but there seemed to be many if that's your thing. This is an excellent location if you want to travel to the beaches, its about 21 miles to Navarre and the town of Milton is just a few miles from the campground. There is also a Piggly Wiggly grocery store a mile or so away and plenty of fuel options including diesel close by. Whether you just need an over-night stop or planning to spend a few days in the area, this is a great choice and a KOA I'll book again in the future... read more

Mark Power box's better. They just installed new power boxes and they did not look like the existing ones. They were very difficult to open, so I did not force it open with a hammer because I did not want to damage it, so we slept without power that night. Put up a map of the numbered sites online on their website. We had a breakdown in route to the Jacksonville location. got in after hours at about 1 AM. We could not find our site because we cannot find a map on their website. read more

We make this a yearly stop to gather family and friends. The new owners are amazing and engaging. The only disappointment is the pool was still under construction; however, they were more than accommodating! The kids stayed on the water slide they leased for three days straight. They had a concert and karaoke and plenty of other activities to occupy the kids! I really cannot not rave enough about the staff! We will definitely return again and enjoy the new pool. Location is great if you're traveling on I10 but the noise level is extremely high. The pool definitely needs a deep cleaning. A lot of bugs, not sure what they could do about that though. Definitely not worth the price they're charging at $105/night. We've stayed at KOAs for half that price that were twice as nice! read more

I will start this review with a few positives. -very nice employees -nice pool -awesome putt putt -cleanish community bathrooms -cold ac in cabins. Now for the reason for 2 stars. My family stayed in cabin 1 June 22nd-25th we were then going to be staying in one of the bigger cabins the 25-26. This reservation was made June 1st. We checked out this morning and went to check in for the other cabin and low and behold there was no cabin. The lovely girl at the front tried to help but if there are no cabins, there are no cabins. They did refund the original cost of the bigger cabin, $130.04 but I am currently driving 30 mins up the road to stay in a $399 a night hotel. (Yes, it's the cheapest one in a 50 mile radius). The employees tried to help but if KOA can't help more than giving back the "original" price of the cabin, then that is ridiculous. Stay here for a cheap bed. Make sure your reservation is 100% correct before flying across the country. read more

Edit to respond- that is absolutely not true. Nobody reached out to us about the "cleanliness of our site." We followed the policies to the best of our knowledge. My husband even went above and beyond by mowing and weed eating our site. Also, you can't call it part of your policy when it's handwritten in to be pointed at us. Our site was kept clean and tidy, much more so than other guests at the time. The attitude we got from the office was unprofessional and disappointing. As for the "100% summer discount" that also isn't true. After being told we could reserve the spot for a few months at a time then cancel with a refund, we had to fight to get the promised refund. read more

One of the best KOA Campgrounds I have stayed at! We were only here for a night but the sites are spacious (compared to most KOAS) staff Is friendly. Wi-Fi is good . Looks liKe lots of things to do and participate in if you stay a while. Highway noise was not an issue at all. read more

With a big competitor coming soon, this one is hard to beat. The park u is s very clean and well kept. Lots of spots, some with shade. The bath house was clean and well maintained. The pool is a good size and the kiddy pool Is fun. Mini golf is nice with clubs and balls on site. The staff was very nice and the maintenance workers were always helping. We'll be back. read more

Perfect for a one night stay. It's close to the interstate. Really appreciated the effort to accommodate late comers. They offered several sites with detailed maps. We arrived late left early but what we saw looked pretty and clean. The sites are close and on the grass. We would stop here again if in the area. We camped here in a motorhome and towing. read more

My family and I live in our RV full time. We only leave honest reviews so they can help other campers. My family and I stayed here for a month in 2020. The park was beautiful. Positives: Nice park with big spots. Nice neighbors. Close to beach. Clean showers. Nice laundry facilities. Pool! Negatives: was accused of dumping trash... my neighbor, nice little old guy, pulled out and left his trash everywhere. They just decided to accuse me. Situation was taken care of and nothing bad came of it but that was a little bit rude and a turn off. Called this morning to cancel my reservation because of the pending tropical storm/ hurricane approaching, was told by Mickey, the manager, that I was not in the 48 hour grace period and would forfeit my deposit. I asked that because of the extenuating circumstances couldn't they make an exception. This area was under tropical storm warnings, high winds advisory and flood warnings but they would not accommodate my request. I love using KOA's but have never experienced this type of inconsideration before. The money is really not the issue, but rather safety is my main concern. read more

Do not go there!! It's next to the highway and there's constantly road noise from diesel trucks passing by at 80 miles an hour. There is no Wi-Fi. And there's no hot water in the showers. The worst KOA I've ever spent at I left early and they refuse to give me a refund. read more

This was a nice campground. The grounds are well kept, the bathrooms are clean and there are plenty of things to do at the campground itself. They have a swimming pool, miniature golf course, playground and offer a continental breakfast. The only downside was hearing the traffic on the freeway at night. read more

Our background: 2 adults, 1 toddler (2yo) x 2. 2 tent sites next to each other. Well shaded tent spots with enough space between each. A kitchen sink less than 50 feet from us/all tent sites. 2 restrooms to choose from with stalls, sink, hair dryer, shower. I haven't seen the other building but sister says you have all of those items in its own room so you share none of it - this will be nice for showering our toddlers. Wifi apparently! Fire pit & grill at each site. Saw the pool, playground, go karts and mini golf coming in and all of that will be great for you & you find - not sure we personally will make it over since here for for one night. Conveniently located right off the freeway. Wonder if the sound for tent camping will be an issue - but o do t think it will be. It's not horrible by any means. Overall very happy with the campground!! Would camp here again for sure. Oh and pets allowed though we didn't bring ours.. Edit (add): After our one nights stay, I would recommend ear plugs as you can hear the freeway.. I personally didn't have issue because I brought them because the hub snores lol.. read more

This KOA was nice but not as great as we had hoped. It is literally right on top of I-10. Needless to say I was concerned about the proximity to the highway and the noise. Yes, you can hear the traffic but it was very easy to ignore and we could not hear it in our rv. The campground has a pool and nice playground. There even appears to be a mini golf course but we have not checked that out. Most of the other campers have been friendly (which is not always the case in N. Fl.). The showers were clean. The pool was very busy (holiday weekend and all). The access entering coming from the interstate is good. However, if you are coming south on 87, you have to go past the interstate, make a uturn and come back. Leaving the campground is right turn only (away from I-10) and also requires a uturn. Also, the campground host (?) has a trailer and car that blocks one of the roads making exit difficult. This is fine with smaller trailers but ours is 40 foot so that made things difficult. We like the location and it's proximity to our home. We love some of the local joints we found in Milton. We will probably be back but were left feeling a little bit disappointed about the campground itself. read more

I have proof threw text message. As I write this they still have it. It had nothing to do with parking my camper and now they refuse to give it to me. We have had great experiences with this campground in past years. However, this year we had to cancel due to my husband having a small stroke. I realize there are cancellation rules, but seems as though there would be some compassion during an emergency. Even though my daughter called & explained he was in the hospital & asked for a refund none was given. read more

This place was well under par. They have advertising for many things that they do not provide such as heated pool, game room, community center, grassy lots, Hot showers. All of these things were not available. We were long-term guests so we got put in the way back in the sandy lots with tree roots coming through the ground which were tripping hazards and no grass. We were told we could not switch to one of the beautiful green lots that were out front because those were saved for other people. They remained empty for the four weeks we were there. The pool was not heated, the community center was closed and the game room was also closed and they did not say it was going to open in the near future. They did mention that the pool heater was too expensive to fix so they were not going to fix it. The showers were hot for about four minutes and then they were lukewarm. They seem to have an excuse for everything when confronted with these issues and do not offer any compensation regardless of what your issue is. Oh and they do NOT offer breakfast. Not sure when they did that but they do not anymore. They also charge you $10 cancellation fee even if you cancel months in advance. I will never stay at a KOA again. read more

We had such a great time the first time we came back! It is a nice clean facility. The first time the staff was very friendly. We were on row F (firefly lane) it was peaceful. Close enough to everything! We gave them a 5 star review the first time. Our return visit I would give them a 2. We were parked in row D (Deer Run Lane). It is closer to the interstate which was extremely noisy and not nearly as peaceful. However, the main reason for the low review is because of the manager who was on a mission to seek people out to enforce his stringent rules. I go on vacation to relax. Our lives are hectic enough. I understand rules very well but you can enforce your rules in a kind way without the attitude. This man was rude, would not hear you through. For instance: I fully understand closing a pool when it rains. I would never put my grand children in harms way. But a storm had passed through 2 hours prior. The radar was clear. No lightening had occurred during the past two hours. There were 2 more hours left in their open time hours and it remained closed due to rain. So when asked if it remained closed all day when it rains he said the pool has to re-cycle. Then walked away. Whatever, we go on about our evening. The next day we went to do laundry they have a sign closed for cleaning from 9:30-11:00 for cleaning (strange hours but ok) went on the store to get quarters and take the kids to the game room. While in there there were a couple of other kids with a parent and a visiting friend (which they charged $6 to visit). Here comes the manager with his little clip board straight over to me with my two grandkids to tell me "The kids must wear shoes in all buildings." I looked down at my grandkids feet and said "my kids are wearing shoes." Now I have a real bitter taste in my mouth. So this same evening (day two) my son and daughter-in-law went swimming about an hour before the pool closed at 9:00. They were out before closing, and playing miniature golf which was open for another hour. The Gestapo Manager was sure to make sure everyone else knew it was closed and to leave. He proceeded to go to the game room where a family was at a table peacefully playing a board game and he proceeded to tell them it was closed and started turning off the lights. He could have easily told them to finish their game and turn off the lights when done. He could have put a closed sign on the door and when the lights went out he could have locked it down. He has a residence on sight. I doubt I will return. State Parks are a much better option. P.S. the two ladies in the office who just started 1 month ago were pleasant, kind and professional. read more

Do not stay here. Very overpriced for what you get. I paid $64 for one night. Site was muddy, site was not paved, cable didn't work, and there was no way to contact personnel after office hours. We stayed here while getting out of the path of Hurricane Matthew, we were able to get one of the remaining sites for the night. This place is super clean & the grounds were kept beautifully. The staff was friendly and very helpful from the ladies in the office to the men who directed us to our site. While we didn't participate in the complimentary breakfast it was a great feature. We only needed to stay for one night but we'd stay here again without hesitation. read more

I just called to make a reservation for a monthly rental. My motorhome is a 2002 Bounder 36 ft with 30,000 miles. The lady was rude, condescending and immediately wanted pics of all sides of my motorhome before making the reservation and assumed that my motorhome was a piece of crap. I wouldn't stay here if it were the only RV park in the Florida Panhandle. What is bad is that I have stayed here in the past and enjoyed it, but I am not going to put up with someone's rudeness and condescending attitude especially when I am forking out $500+ per month. read more

Really nice park. They have full hooks-ups. This park is clean, friendly, and accept pets. They provide fire pits upon request and offer free breakfast in the morning. Bingo and putt putt golf are 2 of the activities they offer. read more

Don't come here with a group - especially if you are a happy and friendly group! The management was most unfriendly to us on our recent trip. We have been meeting for an annual tube trip on the Blackwater (Shout out to Blackwater Canoe Rentals!) for over 20 years. We have stayed at Gulf Pines KOA for the last 15 YEARS and have never been treated so rudely. We (me and 35 of my closest friends) came in at various times on Friday. We had booked EVERY cabin in the campgroup and all gathered in front of the stretch of cabins isolated from the others. There was good converstion and alot of laughter. Admitedly, we were gathered out there well past the 10pm "quiet time" and it can be easy to misjudge how loud 36 happy people can be, but instead of coming over and letting us know it was too loud, Marty the Manager called the Sheriff!! No problem...they were so nice - asked us to turn our radio off and keep it down. We complied right away, cut the music and all dispersed within about 45 minutes. Then...at 8am....BOOM, BOOM, BOOM - there is a knock on my door and its Marty telling us we were being EVICTED! ALL of us! WTHeck!! I told him that wasnt possible because we had a bus picking us all up at 9am and asked him to give me a minute to get dressed so I didnt have to talk through the crack in the door. Instead, he jumps in his golf cart and speeds away screaming that he is calling the Sheriff! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!! HUGE thank you to Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Dept and Sgt Kilborn for his professionalism and assistance as I tried to talk some sense into Marty! We reached an agreement and stayed, but rest assured, we wont be back until Marty is gone! Its such a nice facility. It's a shame. We are going to miss it! read more

This is the best KOA that I have stayed at. The staff is super nice and helpful. They have free breakfast and the sites are much bigger than any other KOA that I've seen. Milton is a little out of the way so we saw a lot of one-nighters. It was perfect for us because we stayed 5 nights and was close enough to visit 4 beaches. Destin was our favorite. read more
