This little town on Main Street has a very quaint and retro feel to me with very friendly locals. We were standing on the side of the street looking for Safeway and out of nowhere, this nice lady asked if we needed help and directed us to where we needed to go. A lot of restaurants were closed on July 4th in this town, so we were stuck having to eat in our hotel. Our hotel restaurant was extremely crowded, apparently it was the only restaurant open in town on that holiday so be aware of this if you were to travel to Walla Walla on any major holiday. The reason for the 3-star rating is because I feel this town is lacking good food and wine. Not good enough to warrant the long drive back. I think it's worth checking it out at least once if you're a wine lover.

There are lots of activities here at the physical library, but I tend to use this library as my springboard into the electronic library for books on my tablet, particularly for travel. There are those times, however, when having a physical book in my hands just feels right and here is where browsing the shelves for that perfect read is actually fun. The librarians are helpful and knowledgeable and always friendly.

Another review that's been left in my drafts for whatever reason... I feel odd about reviewing a…read morelibrary I didn't actually check books out of recently, but all libraries deserve some love, so here it is: I grew up in Athena and remember when we didn't even have a library and when this one was finally made, sometime when I was in high school. Once it was, I felt like I finally had a place to hang out even if that was kind of "uncool". Even then I rarely checked books out because I preferred grabbing (shorter) books and reading them there. Sooo many memories of trying to walk the town in the cold because there was nothing else to do and stopping in at the library to warm up, just to end up grabbing a book and spending hours there. I didn't realize until later on that this is probably the best and most important part of this tiny town. Libraries are just like that. On my most recent visit I didn't have enough time to read anything fully, but walking home from where I was working I found myself here to warm up again just like when I was a kid. It was nice, though all I did was say hello, flip through a couple of books, then continue my walk after I warmed up. Since it's not a huge town, it's not going to be a huge library, but I think it's enough. It has a good selection for the size, it's clean, and it's comfortable (most important to me). It's not a library you should go out of your way to visit (because surrounding towns do have bigger libraries, therefore bigger selections) but a nice library all the same.
