We were in town and randomly stopped here since we were with our dog and they have a patio. We were seated outside. We just wanted a couple drinks and an app. The patio was really neat and comfortable. Service was great! I had 2 well drinks and my husband had the idahop ipa and the dunkel. We shared the mango bbq wings. They have happy hour on saturdays which was also awesome so we walked out spending less than $30 total! It was a neat spot to check out! Yummy cheese curds! I got the Pang Wangle beer because of the name. It was not overpowering with its hops so it made for a smoother drink at.. earlier in the day. Husband got the nachos and it was our first time having side winder cut potatoes. Delish. And hearty. The pasta was filling and tasted great. It had a light sauce and the shrimp paired well with the butternut squash filling in the ravioli. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The space was clean. We had outdoor seating with a covered patio which was nice so our doggo could be with us. It was cool to walk inside and see the brewing tanks through the glass windows. I was impressed to see on Yelp that the biz owner is responding to reviews about their lack of COVID precautions! It had me hopeful, but I'm sad to report that only about half the staff were wearing masks when we stopped in. If you say you're going to implement something, it should be consistent across the board. It's true - if you're trying to be cautious during this time, this place probably isn't for you. Indoor dining was packed to the brim when we stopped by. Luckily they still had their outdoor seating available, which is where we sat (far far away from everyone else). Food and drink here were pretty solid. The Butternut Squash Ravioli was probably one of my favorite dishes during our time in Idaho actually. Really delicious and well cooked. Brewery with a bewildering variety of offerings. First off the Idaho nachos are fabulous and a great starter. Plenty for as group of 4 to share. This was what originally drew us to the place and we were not sorry. The beer is pretty solid and they have enough in house variety to cover all the types. I went with the American stout and it was on point, I'm also told the hef and golden girl were worth buying again. Prime rib sandwich is basically a French dip. Nothing special but not bad. The burgers are quality beef with good texture and well balanced with the toppings. I went with the fig and Brie and was very pleased. The fig is a jam and not fig pieces, so it's well distributed not overpoweringly sweet. It also has healthy slices of tasty Brie and I was very happy with the overall experience. Service was quick and friendly, food was solid and I'd be interested to explore the rest of the menu. I would definitely stop in the next time I'm in town. read more

Twin Falls was the first metropolitan area we hit after a long day of driving through middle of nowhere Nevada and Idaho. We were eager to stretch out legs and grab a bite to eat. Driving down the main road, Milers Gate immediately caught my eye with the cute string light wrapped patio. We were able to get a table outside right away to enjoy the perfect weather. After seeing the fun flight boards shaped like the state, I couldn't wait to get one of my own. There were a variety of beers on the menu so this was also a great way to try a handful! To help soak up the beer I opted for the chicken pesto cauliflower pizza. It was excellent, even enjoyed as left overs the next day. Not sure the next time we'll be back in Twin Falls, but whenever that may be, you bet we'll return to Milers Gate. read more

Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday evening and sat on the patio. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful. My wife has to eat gluten free and they have plenty of options. All the food was very good. The cauliflower pizza appetizer was quite filling and large. We both left very stuffed after eating our meals. I really enjoyed the gumbo and appreciated the variety of meats in it. Of course the beers were very good and I enjoyed sampling a few. I'd be back for sure if I'm in town again. read more

I had an amazing visit here. I came in on a co-worker's recommendation while I was in town for work. Maricella was awesome! A great help in suggesting some food items, as well as being overall sweet and very attentive! I had some buffalo cauliflower, really good! The sauce is a delicious traditional buffalo, a little on the spicy side - which was very good!! The Brie and Fig burger was so simple but so complex in flavor. The burger patty was huge, hand formed, and cooked exactly like I wanted. The toppings were salty, savory, and the tiniest bit sweet. It was divine! So Good! The shoestring fries were crispy, salty and great! The space was SO fun. I can't wait to come back here next time I'm in town! read more

This was my 926 brewery in 38 states. Well worth a stop in Idaho just for their beer. Had a chance to try their signature beer, Make My Day IPA and it did just that. Great staff. Went here twice on 2 different days. (And 1-1/2 from our base location) well worth it. Food was very good but the beer is outstanding. Had a chance to sample the lager in production. It's another winner. Nice banana notes in their Hefe. Again....a must stop! read more

A little spendy, but the food is good. Our wait staff wasn't too attentive, but this is what we have come to expect in Twin Falls. They forgot the dip for our cheese curds, and didn't come back to ask about how well they were liked until they were all gone, which made the dip a bit too late. It was delicious on my grandsons fries though. The ribs are well cooked, and the mashed potatoes are fresh, homemade, and a great portion, we do live in Idaho. The curry chicken and rice was super too. Give it a try, you will enjoy it. Just give yourself a few hours, and don't be in a hurry. Make reservations, you will be glad you did. read more

We were visiting from CA and my husband found a brewery to go to. Shocker. Lol! I'm glad he did because it was awesome! It was a slower afternoon so we picked a table top near the fireplace. Super cozy and fun inside. Low and high tables, along with bar seating. The place is super nice and updated throughout. Nice flooring, seating, brewery tanks (no clue what you call these) in the open, and the restrooms were nice and clean. Menu had great options. Appetizers to entrees, but we were focused on nibbles and beers. We got the Idaho Nachos which have potato wedges instead of chips. Super yummy! The odd ball my mom wanted was buffalo cauliflower and I actually turned my nose up but she ordered it anyway. HELLO. Order it! I was so shocked at how good it was. And I'm not not saying that. If you love buffalo anything, you will actually like this! We had a couple beers (top 5 on the menu are theirs) and they were very good! Cheers. I've been to Milners a total of 4 times. The first time was on a Sunday brunch with my folks, and few been 3 other for my Mom's birthday and for happy hour. Most of the experiences have been good, but the staff are not very customer service savvy and they don't seem to pay much attention to putting in any effort. Over priced pretending. Ordered medium Prime Rib. It was RAW, not rare, RAW. They sent it back to "heat it up". If you have any cooking background, that's not how prime rib works. It came back RAW again. You don't re-heat prime rib. It's all cooked at once and the cut determines the grade. The pork chops another of my party ordered was overcooked and tough. I had to order something else and even the chicken was tough. How does one screw up chicken? Classic offering items they can't actually cook while putting on airs of being upscale by charging more. It's barely 2 star by Boise standards. Not worth the noise, bad food, or price. read more

On someone's opinion, I have avoided Milner's Gate for 3 years. They were right. Apparently, Sunday only offers the brunch menu until after 2. It's a limited menu. While the decorations are nice, it is unabashedly loud...think weekend bowling ally meets local swap meet. While we dug the decor, the walls were grossly dirty with food making an edible Jackson Pollock. I love art as much as the next person, but food belongs on the plate or in your mouth. Brie and fig burger was cloyingly sweet. It was weird and could use some balance with some heat...maybe pan fried shishito peppers. It also lacked seasoning and the bun couldn't hold up to the fig jam. Huevos Rancheros were equally as odd. Certainly someone's take on the dish, but tasted namely of cumin. Pumpkin pancakes were dense and overly pumpkin spiced. Overall, at least for me, a swing and a miss. Wanted to love this new place. But it came up a little short. I know I know.. "they are new, give them time to work out the kinks, blah blah blah." But, the service at our table was. so. bad. I sat down a little before 5pm. Between that time, and when I left at 6:30 our waitress only came to our table once. It was a table of 8, and we were ready for cocktails & apps - but I was only able to order 1 drink in an hour & 1/2 (and no food.) Thankfully someone had ordered nachos for the table before I got there. It was a Tuesday night, and there were maybe 3-4 other tables full; they weren't terribly busy. They serve their cocktails with paper straws. (I understand, the environment) but it got so soggy and yucky in my drink. Admittedly I will give them another chance because the Idaho Nachos were bomb, but I hope the service gets better! I was already planning on coming here for dinner during our roadtrip, so I was quite surprised to see it suddenly pop up as a haunted location on "Paranormal Caught on Camera" But the only spooky thing here is how they don't honor their advertised menu prices. I wanted to give this place a relatively good review. I really did. Even though the beers are only okay (decent, but nothing noteworthy or interesting) and the halibut in the fish and chips was a little overcooked/dry, and the prices are a bit high ($20 for a bowl of ramen?) But here's the part that really soured the experience: their menu advertised all wines and all Milners Gate craft brews as half price during happy hour. We ordered two of those craft brews (plus fish and chips, filet mignon ramen, and buffalo cauliflower), and then noticed one of our beers was charged full price (instead of the advertised half off)... we questioned this when we got the bill, and the waitress came back and said that, apparently, not ALL of their craft brews are half off. And this one wasn't... because of its ABV or something? (1) If only some of them are half price, you shoulf make note of that and say which ones. (2) It doesn't make any sense. A beer that is 8.2% is not allowed to be half price, but all of the wines -- which are 12-15% -- ARE half price? It felt like a total bait-and-switch on pricing, and the fact that they didn't give us the price listed right there in writing was completely unethical and unprofessional. Didn't seem like the fault of the waitress, so I still left her a 15% tip, and instead will take away 3 stars from this review to represent the $3 we were overcharged. The aesthetic of the place was nice to have a beer, my only complaint is I could not have a beer inside while waiting for a dining table. Had to sit in entrance that did not have comfortable seating. While there was open tables very close to the bar; they could have stated you can sit and wait and drink here but cannot order dinner. That would made it more acceptable. read more

We eat here whenever we have company or special occasions. We are poor, so we only spend money on good places. Building's history (and they will share it) is amazing. My one less star is simply a personal issue with the newer staff (I had never seen the bartender or manager before). They have several who should not be servers, at all. They obviously don't want to be there. We tried to mention our concern, but the manager who came over smelled so bad, I couldn't eat anymore. Your presence and body odor, effect the customer experiance. Food is not only visual or taste but ALL of the senses, and when your presence overtakes the room, it's an issue. read more

I love Milner's. I love the atmosphere, the people, the energy, and their attention and care in restoring a historic building in downtown. But they cannot -- or will not -- serve bacon extra crisp even when you ask. So many of their dishes include bacon, which for me is a food group. So it is my third time requesting extra crispy bacon on my smoked turkey club nestled in a wonderful croissant and was delivered fatty, limp and barely cooked bacon. Now before y'all snort and exclaim: "Third time? Why?" Well, I live my life with hope and forgiveness, but this time I'm over it. Now I'm not saying you shouldn't go to Milner's, but just don't order your bacon extra crispy. read more

After five full days on the road we happened across this so very hospitable brewery with a menu to die for. The ribs were explosive good. Who would have thunk it coming from San Francisco after approx 1500 miles we would find a spot that would cap off our vacation with a bang. Our waitress Cheyenne is amazing! The grilled salmon literally melted in my mouth, grilled to perfection. I have been waited for Milners Gate to receive the oky-doky to brew their beer and it is fantastic! Having moved from the Denver metro area I know what a brew pub can and should be. Went in here with my wife, son, and his friend to have a beer. I decided to get something to eat as well. My son said he had the fish and chips previously and they were good so I decided that's what I would have, I love halibut! When it arrived it was so dark that it was clearly overcooked. It's not really my style to send food back but these fillets could barely be cut. The server handled it very well and said she would have it redone and the manager came out and apologized as well. I would have been fine except the re-do was only slightly better. It should have been pretty clear that this was overcooked again. I wasn't charged for the meal but I would have gladly paid the $15 for some good halibut. On a better note the beer was pretty good, it's a really cool facility, and the service was good. As I look at the other reviews it would seem that I was unlucky and got a new cook. read more
