RUN FAR AWAY In my…read more15+ years of renting through college, graduate school, and as a young professional, this was BY FAR the worst place I have ever lived. I got out of there as fast as I could and was counting down the days until I did. It was disgusting, pest-infested, and far from "luxury" that they advertise. The leasing office is a joke and they have no idea what they're doing. AR Building Co. has horrible ratings and I understand why. It took a lot of sleuthing and multiple phone numbers to track them down. Here was my experience: * MISLEADING RENT: your rent will be $200/mo higher than listed because of "premium" amenities, including maintenance??? Maintenance is not premium, it's standard. You cannot opt out of any of these, including valet trash which is inconsistent at best. * When I moved in, they said they deep cleaned my apartment, checked all the utilities/appliances, and took great care of the transition. In reality, I found cigarettes in the "new" carpet, lightbulbs out, dirt everywhere, shower head covered in limescale, dishwasher leaking, a 1-inch gap at the bottom of my front door, a missing closet door, and dryer vent completely full which is a huge fire hazard. * Many tenants do no follow the rules: dogs off leash, dog poop everywhere, trash left on side walks, adult males purposefully urinating in the pool, and much more. I had brought a lot of these to the attention of the leasing office but nothing ever happened. * Reeks of marijuana * Online rental system glitched and deleted my auto-pay, and I was treated horribly by the leasing office. * Birds, squirrels, and mice living in the walls * No recycling * Minors in the sauna at night * Leasing office manager hung up on me multiple times because she "did not have time for this."

Jebus Cripes. This…read moreapartments are small but nice enough. The neighborhood is sweet. It has a bark park and is a short walk away from a really nice, large community park. The people who work in the office, particularly management, are excessively rude. My dog got loose one time and barked at a groundskeeper. It sucked and was embarrassing but they threatened to call the police and kick me out for it. For barking. He didn't ever get close enough to touch the guy. That happens with dogs and it was an accident that happened once. ONCE. They make a lot of big threats that usually don't pan out but will stress you the hell out. I've definitely cried after a few interactions with this management. If you decide to live here, plan to receive an unreasonable amount of emails EVERY. WEEK. And if they're specifically directed at you, be ready for them to be almost hostile. Also be ready to be nickeled and dimed at every turn. There are excessive fees for anything that can be fined. If one of the slats in in your blinds is bent, they will email and threaten you until you replace it. I'm not exaggerating. They have a pool but don't get too excited. It's usually pretty cold and has a lot of leaves and dead bugs in the way most apartments do. It's not a huge deal. But the concrete edges are crumbling and shards gather at the bottom of the pool. My daughter and I have cut our feet on it before. All in all, there's a lot of things you pay for and there's a lot of crappy things to put up with. It's not great but it'll do if you're desperate and in good mental place to deal with it.

Read the reviews about excessive charges after the lease ends, they are legit! I received a bill for over $600 with outrageous expenses included. I was charged for rent due to unclear and vague communication about key drop off, something completely out of my control. There was nothing in writing about "lockbox" drop off of your keys and I believe that is intentional. They gave me more bogus charges that I was able to argue with photographic evidence. I spoke with Rosemond and Kacie about this matter and Rosemond mentioned the drop off once more after that rent charge was removed, which I find rude and unnecessary. I still feel there are charges that need to be removed as I received an additional invoice that I find questionable. I rarely write negative reviews because I work with businesses and know how impactful reviews are but this is necessary. Make sure you take pictures and keep record during your time here because you will get charged after move out. Regardless if charges are legitimate or not. During my time here there was a maintenance request that was never finished, another time my shower water was left running after a shower repair, also muddy boot stains left in my shower once the service request was done. I got a toilet replaced without a lid that properly fit the toilet and the toilet was dirty. Appliances in units that are not renovated are old and break down easily if they're not already broken when you move in. Because my unit was so affordable and I felt safe living here, I let some things go. Regardless of what their response to my review is, my review is legitimate and truthful and I left nothing out. I was a good tenant and never had issues with management/office staff before. It's a shame that they do this to tenants after moving out. Make sure you know your rights as a tenant.

Apartment searching sucks. I get that. It's that subtle art of finding a place that's both…read moreaffordable and not "condemned". Well, SRC does a good job of getting that balance right. Sure, you might pay a little more than average for the Reynoldsburg area, but the loss you experience in the budget is more than made up for in good, clean living. The apartments are a bit older - perhaps 25 years - but they are solidly built with excellent amentities. The complex can offer you either one or two bedroom garden apartments or even two bedroom townhomes. Some of the apartments even have basements. The ownership is currently in the process of remodeling, so many of their models have updated appliances and bathrooms. The hook-ups for washer and dryer in ever unit are a plus too. The strength of the complex is its management. What you see is what you get these folks. They are helpful, flexible, and courteous. Maintenance requests are responded to within 24 hours, and the grounds are kept neat and clear. Your slightly-above-average rent also goes toward a wonderful, well-maintained pool that's often teeming with the complex's many famillies in the summer.

We recently moved out of this…read morecomplex because it is too restricting and the management staff spends too much time watching residents looking to chastise them for something. It's almost like living in a dorm except, at least in a dorm, you can have overnight guests without being grilled about it. Yes, the apartments are nice and the rent is reasonable and I was initially happy about living there. All the questions I got when I moved in that seemed like small talk eventually wound up being a baseline for criticism and observation. I read about how much oversight tenants were placed under on another website, but I had no idea that an apartment complex would be SO bad. The previous complex manager was bad, but this new one, Rita, is the worst. She sits in the office and watches everyone coming and going to the point of obsession. If you have weekend guests or a party, she definitely mentions it the next time she sees you, like you're not supposed to have company or enjoy yourselves in a place you pay for, and has called the local police for guests lingering in the parking lot while leaving. In nice weather, she walks around the property looking for things to call tenants about, will tell you that she is "trying to get some exercise" but is really looking at tenant movement. A single neighbor complained to us that Rita insisted a new boyfriend who visited often needed to have a background check and be put on the lease since he was there often and "in case something happened in the apartment" they would be covered in case of liability. (isn't that what renters' insurance is for?) It's crazy that a person that pays rent isn't allowed to naturally progress in a relationship and have regular visits without the management asking personal questions about it. And talk about awkward telling a boyfriend that he has to be on your lease because he comes over a lot! And the maintenance guy is equally nosey, fixing things while looking for something to report back to the office. I've never been so glad to move from a place!

I was effectively homeless and was couch surfing when someone told me about MFA Communities. I needed a place for a little over a month and this fit the bill to a tee. The leasing office was so nice to work with. Szerin (I may have spelled that wrong) treated me like family. She was so warm and welcoming and helpful with my unique situation. She linked me with the perfect unit - it was a furnished studio type apartment on the second floor of a building in the gated community. I LOVED it. It was a great size for the time I was there and was super easy to clean and maintain. The furniture was comfy and you could tell that everything had been kept in excellent condition. I didn't interact with many neighbors but mostly the area seemed to be other single temporary professionals like me. When I moved out, they made it so easy for me to discontinue my lease. I ended up moving out a couple of weeks early and they were able to fill my spot and save me some money. They even gave me a gas gift card to thank me for using their services. I own my home now in the area but if I ever found myself in need of a short-term place to stay, this would be my first start and I'm always quick to recommend it to others!

After just a little over a year of tenancy, I experienced a lot of issues with the rental itself and the problematic staff in the leasing office. Regarding the unit itself, it looked great upon first inspection. Moving in, I discovered several appliances did not work (garbage disposal and dishwasher) and the water tank leaked. Those issues were eventually repaired, but then I discovered the roach problem. I had roaches in my kitchen cabinets, under my fridge, between the cracks of my walls and counters. I struggled with them until the day I moved out; it took several visits from their exterminator before they finally agreed to spray. After the spray, I still continued seeing roaches. I also had a mice problem, although they were not as abundant as the roaches. The leasing office staff were not helpful; you rarely talk to the same person twice, and will receive different answers for the same question. Aside from the lack of cohesiveness, they are also rude and several times were quick to hurry me off the phone whenever I called about my reoccurring issues. Aside from the roaches, another issue was my bathtub; early into my tenancy, the tub paint began to crack and chip. After reporting this, and no action was taken by maintenance, the tub continued to crack and the caulking also began to separate. Black spots grew in the cracks of the caulking. I tried to reach out many times throughout the remainder of my tenancy, but no repairs were ever done. Fast forward to now, they are trying to charge me for the repair of the tub. Other shady behavior included not allowing me to be present for the final walkthrough, and taking over a month to repair a giant hole in my bathroom ceiling caused by an upstairs tenant's toilet leaking. Very disappointing and this has probably been my worst rental experience. Once again, if you are looking to rent, remember this review before considering Cornerstone Crossing.

I believed this would be a wonderful beginning to a better life for me and my two children as I had heard wonderful things about this rental property but boy was a strong facade painted which created disillusionment in my mind. I signed my lease in february of 2024 with a move in date of april 16th. I also am a section 8 resident... for one I never received a tour of the facility or a full layout of rules and notices but lucky for me I'm a nerd and I love to read. I also overheard maintenance specifically say since I was section 8 that it didn't matter if the apartment was up to par with how it should be and that I would't care...booooy were they wrong. I am a single mother of 2 children, both whom have health issues.. upon my move in date that was the first time I had seen the place and with my first inspection there were so many things wrong specifically the paint jobs, the carpets needing replaced and also floor boards with nails protruding not even properly and safely attached to the walls. I have a 15 year old who is autistic with scoliosis and a newly 1 year old with major health issues and the dirty carpets have yet to be replaced therefore not allowing me to fully move in and her breathing has gotten worse since being here. and they come in with spray paint to fix the paint jobs and fixed nothing. then wiped out all my maintenance requests as if they were completed. in the lease it states that a notice would be put on cars before tow, first I have 2 cars registered and on my lease and without any notice they towed my vehicle causing me to have to use the only money I had for grocery's In order to get it out. And with me being on section 8 I don't pay full rent and its been adjusted to no rent and yet they continuously charge me close to 2000 dollars each month while section 8 is paying them. I have called and have been ignored, told someone would be by with no avail and still nothing done. I am unemployed doing my best to take care of my kids and provide them as my family is deceased and i've been treated crappy because i'm recieving help from the government. its wrong. I feel isolated and alone. and i'm at my wits in because I don't have money to deal with this. and instead of cutting me a check they credit my account which I never asked them to do and I don't have to pay rent for the entire duration of my lease as section 8 is covering everything. i've called corporate with no return calls. and the manager just does not care and is condescending and has her favorites, there are cars here that have expired tags, broke down, not in visitor parking which I was never shown or told I had to park in and yet their cars are STILL there even now. It is not almost June and still nothing is changing and my daughter has surgery next month followed soon by my son. I start school in July and I'm not understanding why I have been treated so poorly and without any human decency because I receive help from the housing authority. I just want answers, the refunds I'm owed and an apology. also rent is due on the first, but they started taking payments out my account on the 24th of May when section 8 is paying full rent starting the 1st. something must be done so any advice on who I can contact would help tons. if I call section 8 they will cease payments until everything is fixed and i'm trying to give this place the chance it deserves but so far i'm severely disappointed and have no faith. i've waited 15 years for this opportunity and how will I ever get ahead when i'm being castrated without any reasoning.
