I originally posted a review on July 25th about this company please read for reference. This is an…read moreupdate to their response. Redford was rescued by a woman from a backyard breeder. He was in horrific shape and his intake records were terrible to read. The woman worked at a vet clinic and they did a magnificent job of taking care of him. He had severe ear infections , skin infections, he had fluid in his lungs, had worms, was severely underweight, etc. During the time the woman had him he was on multiple antibiotics, ear meds, daily bathes, you name it. After all her care and her wonderful vet, his ears were a thing of beauty, his skin looked awesome, he was just finishing up his antibiotics for his lung infection, he'd been dewormed multiple times. Because she lived in a condo, and Redford started barking all day, she had to give him up. I am so grateful she doesn't know what happened to him, she would be devastated. He came in rescue and thats when I got him.(Ive fostered with this rescue about 13 years.)He was already medically in a much better place. I finished antibiotics, gave ear meds.He was slowly and steadily gaining weight, no more worms, skin better, and at his latest visit, my vet said his lungs and chest were perfectly clear. He was not nuetered or housebroken so I started looking at options, but in my area, to nueter is close to 1000, which is a large cost to a rescue. Because I have multiple dogs of my own, it was difficult for Redford to housebreak as he was marking his territory. I made one of the very worst decisions of my life. I decided to move him to a different foster where he could be nuetered at a reasonable cost .I was hoping to get him back at the end of the summer and adopt him. I was already in love with him. Alphas response to my 1st review had not a single truth. This is backed up by multiple texts of different stories to different people. I was sent a copy of their first review, threatening me to remove my review. My lawyer was sad they didnt publish, it was a masterclass of dishonesty and slander, but proof of yet a different version of their story. The coordinator I was working with was not the board member in their response. If the board member had been dealing with me, she would have had his current medical records and would have seen his current progress and how well he was doing...I would have hoped if I was dealing with this member, she would have also been more concerned about transport as a dogue had just recently died in Alphas care and as she "was very much involved with his move" she would checked with me personally on Redfords health. I dont know why she would lie for them, but I do know she and the coordinator I was working with left the rescue immediately after Redfords death. Odd, Redfords death is supposedly my fault and I am still with the rescue, yet all parties trying to sweep it under the rug are gone. What it comes down to is Redfords health was great. My vet saw him last and said he would testify in court. There was nothing wrong with his breathing the day he was picked up, another lie. I specifically asked Chris to stop and check on him if his breathing became off, it can be a sign of distress, as obviously he should have known since another dogue had died so recently in his care, that he specifically said started breathing funny. Not sure what all the worming nonsense is. Redford had been dewormed multiple times and was fine, but my vet recommended giving him another run just to be sure. Just another show of ignorance by this company. Redford loved to run up and down the stairs, did it 20 times a day, you took that away from him. Redford loved marrow bones, hed spend hours with them, you took that away from him. Redford loved to roll in the grass, after all he had been through, watching him run out and roll was a joy, and you took that away from him. He loved life and you took it that away from him. You are dangerous, ignorant, and arrogant. Having a truck and crate doesn't make you competent transport and listening to you try to lie your way out of it just makes me more determined to let people know. You've lost your inside protection at the rescue. Did you know that had the president known more about the death of the 1st Dogue, she definitely would have requested a necropsy on Redford? The rescue has also requested a report several times about Redfords death which you refuse to send? There's pressure there, which version to put down that could be seen in court. My vet said hed write a testimonial about Redfords health and in his opinion, he overheated and suffocated from being in a kennel with little to no air flow, hes seen it dozens of times with incompetent transporters. I could post it here if its helpful. Redford suffocated alone in an airless crate and he would have been desperate for air and very noisy. There's no excuse and Ill fight for him, he was loved. I'd never wish this horror on another family or the inevitable lies that would follow.

If you are a dog owner, you know that great responsibility comes with owning a precious fur baby…read more I've always been more of a cat person, but my honey really wanted a trail buddy and when we came upon Willow and her sweetness, we couldn't help but fall in love. :D Hope has become SUCH an important part of our family! I was worried about letting a stranger come into our house, but from the moment we spoke it never felt that way. She came over for a free consultation, so she could meet Willow and we could meet her. They were both taken with each other right away and she was very gentle and patient with Willow (even though she was a bit excited to meet a new person). Hope has been an absolute dream to work with. Although my boyfriend's schedule is stable, mine sometimes has a few changes that pop up. Hope is always very quick to respond to my walking requests and very flexible. She always leaves me a detailed message about Willow's walks, along with pictures! And I also want to add that getting used to owning a 45 pound dog who came from questionable circumstances was a little bit of a challenge at first. Hope gave me great advice along the way and encouraged me to have patience as we both settled in with each other. Hope offers walks, outings, dog sitting and more for a very reasonable price. She is very knowledgeable and sweet, and if you're looking for someone to take care of your fur baby with as much love and attention as you would, look no further. Hope has got you covered. :)
