Our server came and checked on us once saying "I'm just awkwardly checking on you" which wasn't really a check in? The next time she came all she said was "are you getting full?" never giving the opportunity to ask how things were, offer another glass of wine, or give us a chance to ask questions. When she asked if I wanted a box for my meal I declined--as someone who worked as a server for 10 years you should realize when someone only takes one bite of a dish and ask them if everything was ok.
