I'd count them in my top half dozen businesses that I'll offer to my clients for work. There are numerous other HVAC places I've hired in the past on behalf of clients. A couple have even been quite good, but none have risen to their level of 1) expertise, 2) ease of working with, politeness, 3) promptness, timely completion, and 4) value. I could give several, but one recent example: I was trying to get a home warranty repair on a nearly new heat pump/AC unit, that evidently had been improperly installed. This was just not getting done...the places dispatched just simply couldn't fix it, despite all seemingly good effort and multiple visits. I called Mark, and it just flat gets done. Just like that. Happy client, happy Realtor, happy happy joy joy. They're located in Watertown, WI (Jefferson County), which is just a little west of Oconomowoc, though they'll travel a decent distance. I've had them work as far north for me as Hustisford and as far south as Eagle. As always, please note, I get exactly nothing from anybody I recommend, but the knowing that I can do it with confidence is worth plenty to me and my work.

After our experience using their service, it is the least we can do. We bought a home recently in Milwaukee and as part of closing the inspector flagged the heating and cooling system as in need of servicing and repair, amongst a few other odds and ends. Through word of mouth a family member referred us to Mafer. We called right away as closing was in a matter of days and we needed to act fast in order to know how the service charge may factor into our closing costs. They answered on the first call and we spoke with Josh. After explaining our predicament Josh was very reassuring that they will be able to resolve what ever issue they find when they got to the house, quickly, and on budget. Josh came the same day, which blew us away as the two other contractors we pulled from a google query said they would not be able to get to us for days. The one we left a message with we had to follow up the next day before even reaching them (which we did because they had good reviews). After our experience with the other contractors coupled with Mafer's rapid, professional, and reassuring response which lived up to our family's referral, we decided to take a chance and give Mafer our business without getting competing bids. Josh was on-time and not only prompt, he was professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and gave us a thorough diagnosis of our issues including options ranging from critical things we needed, and important things we would want, to upgrades that would be nice, and timetables and estimates on all these options on the spot! We opted for the critical and important services, and he had the parts we needed in the truck! Josh completed all the service we needed in one day, and said he would follow up with us in the coming week to make sure there were no issues , and that if we needed him sooner he'd be right there to make it right. There were no further issues and our gas forced central air conditioning and heating system has been working perfectly! We were so happy with the service and rate that we paid Josh more than he asked, and pray our review leads Mafer into much more business as folks in our community need quality contractors they can trust, and those contractors deserve to prosper.

I had a furnace go last year and gave him a call because friend said he did good work. He was out the next day and walked us through what would fit the house and what would fit my pocket book. Last week my HOT water went and he gave me a call back and said he was in the area next day. He was on time and fixed it in a flash. He is also clean and handles himself as a true gentleman. Fiedler heating has been repairing my furnace for almost 9 years. He's always been quick to respond…read moreeven though I don't have children he makes an extra effort to get to homes with failed heating for families that have children. Even when my furnace wasn't installed by him originally he managed to keep it running until I ended up replacing my my furnace with a new one that of course he installed. I could not be happier with his service and I'd recommend it to you. Mark gave me a great deal on a high-efficiency furnace that replaced my 24-year old one and reduce my heating bill.

Dave lacks experience and knowledge to diagnose and repair systems that they spec'd and installed. He will not hesitate to take his time and make excuses to bill extra hours. And wait until you get the bill that includes materials -- he marks up his materials 3x cost (i.e. freon prices and fittings). Find someone else to do your HVAC work who's honest and takes pride in what they do. You will regret working with Reynolds.

Tom misquoted work I hired him to do. He gave me a quote, showed up for the job, realized he didnt…read morepay enough attention (he overlooked my basement ceiling being drywalled ) He started the job but decided after cutting three vents holes in my floors that he didn't want to finish the job he misquoted. Than he sent Elizabeth his admin person to do his lying for him. They now demand i remove the entire ceiling and verify there is no mold or asbestos before they will return. We discussed the condition of the basement, specifically that there is soke mold and likely asbestos wrapped pipes. The morning he arrived to do the job he immediatelyadmitted he screwed up. He assured me he would do the work anyways as it was his mistake. Now he won't respond to messages sent directly to him, and Elisabeth is like dealing with a child who will not admit they are wrong. Despite the very good reviews, it has been a nightmare trying to get this company to follow through with what they said they would do. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere for your work.

This past Monday he installed a new Honeywell T10 Lyric thermostat. He tied this in to my existing bypass humidifier to automatically control it to minimize window sweating in the summer. The new controls required a new wire to tie the thermostat to the humidifier. Tom efficiently ran the wire from the main floor to the basement. The T10 can also control via remote sensors to assure adequate heating and cooling. I am very happy with the thermostat, and how the system operates!

Two techs spent most of the morning tearing into the boiler, cleaning and testing, and reassembling it and testing further. They worked methodically and meticulously. They completely contained and vacuumed any mess as they brushed out the burners and the heat exchanger. They were cordial, they answered all my questions, and they never stopped working until the job was done. Ours is a fairly 'messy' system, with four zones, five pumps, a heat exchanger that's bigger than the hot water heater, and a few other curiosities. The techs seemed to be familiar with all elements of the system. We've been in this home a relatively short time. The previous owner recommended Donovan & Jorgenson to us, and now we recommend them to you.
