He inspected the heat exchange and found areas of concerns due to age. The furnace is 20 years old and I know I'll need a replacement soon. Many in my condo have had theirs replaced in the last several years. My time will be coming soon. Mark had the office staff provide me with an estimate for replacement. They did this promptly and I thank both Mark and the office staff for the follow through. As always, Mark was respectful, kind and very professional. He made me comfortable with both his service and knowledge. I would be very happy to have him back to provide service again and would recommend him and Pat's.

Michael not only diagnosed and repaired the boiler in record time, but he was also kind enough to take the time to thoroughly explain how a hydronic heater works, and all of the necessary maintenance involved. Michael was extremely knowledgeable with all things HVAC. We were charged a very fair price for the labor, especially considering the weekend callout. Fast forward a few weeks, and we called out Michael to update some of the heater controls. Again, Michael provided outstanding service and corrected a few other issues with our hydronic system. Still highly recommended!

No repairs were performed and I was ultimately told that the AC was operating normally, without a solution to the temperature difference I had called about. I understand paying for diagnostic time, but $300 for this visit felt very expensive, and I wish the additional charges had been clearer when I scheduled. Update: I appreciate the business owner commenting on their charge process. The technician specifically noted charging me for 45 minutes, and I have an email time stamped 45 minutes after he started work. Also, none of the paperwork notes that the initial charge includes 30 minutes of time, which further emphasizes my point about transparency. Update: Update: I previously listed the wrong dollar amounts, so I am correcting them after reviewing my invoice. I was charged $149 for the diagnostic visit plus $130 for an additional 45 minutes of labor, for a total of $292.95 with tax. After the business stated that the technician spent approximately 75 minutes diagnosing my AC, I requested their timestamped records. Their records show that at 12:38 PM I signed their Customer Acknowledgement stating that "all work has been completed," and my invoice was emailed at 12:40 PM. However, they are counting time through 12:51 PM toward the 75-minute visit based on their tracking system. I disputed the additional labor charge and requested a refund. The company refused and offered only a credit toward future service, which I declined. My concern is not that diagnostic work costs money. My concern is being charged for diagnostic labor that I do not believe is supported by the company's own records.

The tech, "made adjustments", got the furnace to ignite, and refused to tell me how. He then consulted with his boss and returned with a $496.00 bill. This is about 3x the amount of a common service call. He added that they would apply the $496.00 to the price of installing a new inducer motor, or a new furnace. Making the installation of a new inducer motor $904.00. I spoke with a supervisor who said it was more than a service call because "adjustments" were made, and the heat is now on. I consider this very sneaky and out of line. They never told me this service call would be $496.00, or any price for that matter. It was a sneaky rip off that the consumer should be aware of. I should have paid no more than $200.00 for that service call. Future customers should be aware of this tactic.

I am very happy with the service provided and Aire Serv will be the only one I deal with from here forward. Than he sent Elizabeth his admin person to do his lying for him. They now demand i remove the entire ceiling and verify there is no mold or asbestos before they will return. We discussed the condition of the basement, specifically that there is soke mold and likely asbestos wrapped pipes. The morning he arrived to do the job he immediatelyadmitted he screwed up. He assured me he would do the work anyways as it was his mistake. Now he won't respond to messages sent directly to him, and Elisabeth is like dealing with a child who will not admit they are wrong. Despite the very good reviews, it has been a nightmare trying to get this company to follow through with what they said they would do. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere for your work.

This past Monday he installed a new Honeywell T10 Lyric thermostat. He tied this in to my existing bypass humidifier to automatically control it to minimize window sweating in the summer.
