My 7 year old daughter and I were in the Erie area yesterday. We drove up from Pittsburgh for the…read moreweekend. We were trying to find some kid friendly fall activities when we stumbled upon the Port Farms website. We took the (easy) 30 min drive to Waterford and it did not disappoint. We arrived around 11am, an hour after they opened. Plenty of guests were there but the parking area is very well organized and large. We had no issues parking close to the entrance and only waited around 2-3 minutes in line to pay for admission. While we were there my daughter had a blast. We went on the Wagon ride down the trail by the cornfields and she loved all the funny/creative scarecrows along the way. Another big hit was the climbing jungle gym area. She visited that area about 3 times while we were there. The bubble station seemed to be a huge hit with both kids and adults, as those bubbles they were creating were massive. I saw a few flying all the way above the parking lot. Very cool. There's plenty of activities for all ages and some extras with additional fees. We didn't try any of the extras but for a kid her age, what we did was perfect. We did also eat lunch there, over by the massive tire area that kids seemed to love for climbing. The giant pretzel was bigger than my head and my daughter loved her pizza. On our way out we stopped at the store and purchased some of the odd shaped gourds and beautiful little white and mult-colored mini pumpkins to take home. My daughter also had one of the apple cider slushies available within the gift shop at the bakery counter area. It was really good! Lovely fall trip - well worth the money for us to both have a great time while away from home. This is easily one of the best fall harvest type events that I've been to. We will be back next October!

My Lord. How did I not know that this place was so much fun. My daughter had so much fun just in…read morethe corn pit I cannot believe it. We got there around 10:00 and the parking was really easy and they had an attendant that showed us where to go. I was able to bring my little wagon into the farm which made going around very easy. If you are a college student and have ID the price of admission is $10 and kids under two are free. So it's an affordable event to go to for as much stuff as they have inside. We immediately went to the corn pit and I had to take my daughter out of it kicking and screaming. The goats were also a big hit but I didn't have a quarter for her to feed them herself. Next time I'll know, bring quarters. She also had a great time in the little kids village where she sat in the rocks with the Tonka trucks and just had a grand time. The slides and the balls were also fun for her. I had to take her out of the basketball area because it was giving me a little bit of anxiety since she's so small. But she loved it. My favorite part was the fresh squeezed lemonade. Just to tell you it's all the way in the back towards the trampoline jumpers. But totally worth it even though I had to ask three people where to go. I even got one for the road. We ended the day buying a few mini pumpkins and a gallon of cider. Overall it was a great day and a great place to spend time with young kids.

First time here and really enjoyed our dinner. Must say that I wanted to start with a glass of…read morechampagne. Our server came back and said it wasn't cold. What?? It's Friday night. Dinner. I found that to be off putting. Okay... ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. Server returns.. it's not cold. Are you kidding me? Debbie finally said.. I'll tell you what I do have that's cold. Gee... that was disappointing . Sat in one of the small rooms and Debbie our server really was great. I felt bad for her that she gad to tell be that these wines/champagne were not cold. I had the halibut... my Mother had the Filet. We both got the baked potato which comes with a lovely server with toppings. Nice touch. Loved the bread with the pesto oil and Texas beans. We both got dessert of bread pudding and I got the vanilla mousse in chocolate cup. Will I return? I'm sure next time I'm in town I will... but PLEASE have white wine/Champagne chilled in a Friday night.

The "brunch" had no breakfast food except for bacon that did not have to be ordered from the kitchen. The crêpes were small and very chewy. Omelette was OK. The hot food was not. The potatoes were like Play-Doh with a layer of butter on top, the mac & cheese was cool. The turkey and dressing was like a log of turkey substance you would buy from Walmart. The pork was overcooked and dry as you will see. Prime rib was somehow very tough and not seasoned. The desserts were bland, not sure how you mess up a mini cheesecake. The bloody Mary tasted like watered down tomato juice out of a can at Walmart mixed with some cheap vodka. we were very sad that this happened and we will not return. We walked in and wasn't very clear on how to proceed, but one of the guests told us the hostess would come out. About 15 minutes after our reservation a lady came out and looked surprised to see us and asked if we could be helped. We told her our name and she's like oh yes, come this way. She's very nice. The waitress was attentive, saying she was somewhat forgetful because they were slow. Smell like she was on multiple smoke breaks.

It was interesting we also went for a meal and got a flight to taste - She seemed to pour each glass separately to taste after we finished the previous - (so no actual "flight" at all). What made it odd to begin with was that she gave me the glass of wine to taste while I was busy playing a bean-bag game they had there - which made playing the game difficult and tasting it difficult. Then when we sat down, she poured the next tasting ..... INTO THE SAME GLASS. Okay. That mixes you know but fine, save washing dishes... And what made it more odder was that each consecutive glass she poured was less and less. The last glass was literally laughable. As if someone left that behind when they were finished with their wine- thats how much she poured. I should have said something but I was a bit in shock. The couple near us had a real flight - On a wood board and full glasses but they had the cider so maybe that is why they had more. The taste of the wine was not to my liking and my bf felt the same. So why the 4 stars and why would I go back? great scenery and porch overlooking the field friendly staff - though the service was a bit odd. I would give them another chance with the wine and cider if I was in the area.... But what took them to a 4 was that they served not just the usual wine and cheese tasting but a meal. A DEEEELICOUS MEAL I definitely would be back for their 5 star pizza!!!Wholly molly! Perfect, from a stone oven, crust was amazing even if I think it was a whole wheat type but chewy and crunchy at the same time, thin crust yet filling. Toppings were simple yet went well together and just the right amount of sauce and cheese. I am not sure if it was because we were hungry, but man, their pizza is amaze! And we make our own pizza from scratch so we are pretty darn picky about our pizza ! If you are wine tasting in the area ........ GO FOR THE PIZZA!
