The police suggested I call this place which I did. The first person Diane, who answered the phone was initially nice but then it became the worst nightmare! Then they sent an email to someone else instead of me to pick the urn for my mother and laughingly said she would understand. I couldn't believe the INCOMPETENCE and INSENSITIVITY of all the staff. There are never any attendants at the door or in the viewing room. A cold welcome and they don't make guests feel welcomed, comforted, or professional, at all. 2. The past three deceased that I viewed were not "casket ready" at all. The makeup was not professional, our loved ones were so deep into the casket, and did not give them justice or respect by this unacceptable and lazy service to prepare our loved ones for internment. 3. We then went to the resting place of internment at Caballero-Rivero Cemetery and Mausoleum off 8th Ave, in Miami FL. What a beautiful cemetery and mausoleum. However, upon going into the inside of the mausoleum, where the deceased was being interned, and it was 110 degrees outside, and in a concrete building, ,on the third floor, there was no air-conditioning! Even the elevator had no air conditioning. Totally unacceptable, unprofessional, and truly disrespectful to all the guests and individual being interned, not to mention dangerous and truly cruel to all the mourners. 4. On the front of the entrance to the cemetery, it reads: "Caballero Rivero Cemetery...a place of "DIGNITY" -Really? This is the most indignant act of dignity. There are many things to consider when dying. Do you want to be buried underground or placed on a wall? Would you prefer to be cremated? Donated to science? Do you want to have burial plots for yourself and your loved ones? Believe me there is much to consider. Assuming you're practical, this place is a reliable option. The office staff is pleasant and completely sympathetic to this difficult subject. I personally spoke to Sergio and Gladys and they were beyond helpful. While I may not have funeral expenses on my current to-do list, I did get a rundown when I went in for other matters. As far as burials go, I have several family members at this cemetery and have never had any issues. The graves are well kept and there is plenty of space. There are also nearby flower shops, so visiting your loved ones and bringing a token of your affection is a breeze. Oh, and a final tidbit - they don't remove bodies. From my conversation with staff, the oldest grave around is from the early 1900s. I know that in comparison to other cemeteries that doesn't seem like much, but Miami is a relatively new city. Visit HistoryMiami to get a better idea. Anyway, point is they truly respect the dead.

We drove down there only to see that it was wrong! No one verified it before it was installed and no one called me to tell me it was ready! They told me they could not put a rush on it. So again I waited for around 4 months. Again, no one called me to say that it was ready the 2nd time. We drove down there , the common last name of Rodriguez was mispelled . They weren't supposed to touch that part ! I went to the office to complain. Jacneri called me back, apologized and said they'd put a rush on it. Called this week, they can't tell me when it's going to be in. I've been pretty patient and cordial but my patience is up! We are in August, November will be a yr that Ive dealt with this incompetent place!
