I didn't have Dr. Wiebe although I have to say, I wish I did because she sure sounded amazing. I had another doctor who was also great, but I was not prepared for the pain. I had the anesthetic injected, which I didn't even feel, but I don't know what it did at all because I still writhed from the pain. Luckily, it only lasted about three seconds at a time - inserting the IUD and then perhaps cutting the strings after? Not sure why it hurt twice. It was the most shocking pain, but just know that it is temporary. Afterwards, my blood pressure went super low from the shock and I lay down for a while. Definitely bring someone with you! If I wasn't there with my mum, I would have felt very fragile and vulnerable. The doctors and nurses are all busy, so it's really crucial to have someone just sit with you afterwards. Overall, every woman's body is different so even though it was extremely & temporarily painful, that doesn't mean it will be the same for you. Some women can go back to work after, others are wiped out. All you can do is bring someone with you, have an advil and use the heating pack offered, and maybe ask for another form of anesthetic? Because mine was useless (unless it would have been even more painful without it... in which case I would have literally died not to be dramatic...). Thanks to everyone there!

The window was left open which made me nervous someone from outside could see. She then explained what the inhaler would do like just make you loopy and how to use it, she then proceeded to tell me that I was not allowed to talk the whole procedure which I found very odd. As I was inhaling it I started to get extremely loopy and could barely keep my hand on it because I started blacking out she then kept saying in a rude manner, keep your mouth on it! Three times mind you I was so out of it I started crying uncontrollably because I was terrified and I didn't like the feeling of not knowing what was happening as well as everything went black, I was under the impression I would still be awake and feel it, my fiancé said I kept saying ow and I'm sorry. When it was done I was told to get dressed and go to the rest room to relax, because I was so out of it I felt super faint and nauseous I couldn't stand up just yet, a nurse then came back twice in less then five minutes to tell me I needed to get out and go to the rest room. My fiancé helped me get dressed and at this point I was still crying because I was so out of it. I felt so rushed and that my wellbeing and how I was feeling just got pushed off to the side. I'm not coming back if this is how they are gonna treat people. It was like they were Herding people in and out.

She didn't give me the chance to speak or ask questions, which made me feel dismissed and uncomfortable. She came across as someone who believed she knew better and that what I said didn't matter. At the same time, she did not seem particularly informed or knowledgeable, which made the interaction even more frustrating. I left the appointment feeling confused, judged, and unsupported. In my opinion, Dr. Yarlagadda would benefit from additional training in communication and patient care. A gynecologist should make patients feel heard, respected, and confident in the care they receive--unfortunately, that was not my experience.

In a world where young people are stigmatised and shifted around like playing cards, this place treats everyone on a personal level, no matter the age or situation. The counsellors I've had over the years will never treat you like scum, talk to you like real human beings, will never make you feel ashamed or inferior, and wont bite your head off if you slip up. They're human beings, and the best part is they know *you* are a human being.

They are a teaching facility in which a student may (in addition to the doctor) be in attendance at your appointment however you have full say at whether the student can be in the room or not. At this appointment the doctor also, upon finishing, requested a followup apt which is something the last doctor 5 years ago didn't request. It's nice to see the care and attention.

When I came for my appointment with Dr. Muir, she wasn't there, and the other doctor was covering her shift. The receptionist didn't even call me to say that I will be seeing a different doctor. Following the appointment, I got a referral for an ultrasound to check my cyst and went for the ultrasound, but never got the results. When I finally called Dr Muir's office, they told me I need to follow up with my family doctor, so I did. My family doctor never received the results either. What a disaster and a waste of time! I also had had swab test done at Dr Muir's and the result didn't show up anything because the lab said not enough material collected. I asked to repeat the test and got an answer that I should just take antibiotics instead to treat whatever symptoms I had, without knowing what condition I had because the test didn't work. I had to schedule another test after a referral from my family doctor. Don't forget that waiting time to be seeing is 6-9 month (accordingly Affinity Women's Health Shannon Soga, Office Manager)!!!!! What's wrong with these people at this clinic and the whole system in general??? None of the people seem to have the intention to do good work or explain anything to the patient about the actual treatment. Also very unprofessional staff at the reception desk; very indifferent and negligent in their behavior!

Dr. Anand is kind, patient and knowledgable. So far every appointment I've met with her has been positive. Most of the staff are friendly except for a younger receptionist at the front desk. If it weren't for all the other staff, she would have brought the rating down for this place. Girlfriend needs to learn about customer service or really, just smile. The office and washroom are new and clean. Parking is plentify out front by meter.

Dr. Unger was a game changer…read more Having had an extremely uncomfortable gyno experience back in my university days, I'm not proud to say I let this very important yearly check in slide for the better part of a decade. But when my health became a big question mark, I begrudgingly accepted the fact that to cover all my bases, I was going to have to jump onto the gyno train again. Pretty much everyone will tell you, finding a great doctor is like winning the life lottery. Well hand me a giant novelty cheque because win I did indeed. Dr. Unger is fantastic! He took the time to sit down and answer all my questions. As the main reason for the referral here was based on possible hormonal issues, I was a rad nervous. The doc explained everything in a completely straight forward manner, without making me feel rushed, or talked down to when I asked questions. The exam was much of the same - patient & straight forward. Having sensed that I had some bad history in the mix, he was very respectful & made a point to make sure I was comfortable throughout. He changed a decade long opinion in an appointment. For future check ups down there - I'm going nowhere else. This doc is the real deal and I'm so glad I found him! Thanks Dr. Unger
