I cannot say enough wonderful things about Hanne, the lovely woman who owns and operates Marin…read moreGreen Cab, and how helpful she was in dealing with an unusual situation. It was 7 PM on a Saturday evening, and my dear friend of many years had been rushed from the nursing facility where she lives to the hospital, both in San Rafael, and had left behind some critically important items, including her phone and her glasses. Since I live in Los Angeles, I needed to find a local service that would go to the nursing facility, pick up the items, and take them the short distance to the hospital. I had no luck with the numerous courier services I tried, but I hit the jackpot when I called Marin Green Cab. Hanne answered the phone, quickly calmed my jangled nerves, and walked me through every step of how she could get this done Sunday morning. It was not an easy task to organize, because it was very difficult to reach anyone at the nursing facility, but she took everything in stride. The next morning, Sunday, Hanne herself picked up the items, drove to the hospital, and even went to my friend's room to give them to her! My friend and I are both so grateful to Hanne for going the extra mile, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

We had…read morearranged with Raj to pick us up at 5 a.m. for 6:30 a.m. boarding at SFO for our 7 a.m. flight to Seattle. At 4:58 we stood outside waiting. At 5 we called Raj and the call went to voice mail. We left a message. We called twice more, but both times no answer, just voice mail. By 5:15 it became clear he wasn't going to show up. The drive to SFO from our place takes between 35 and 45 minutes, so we got in our car and headed for the airport, discouraged and upset. At 5:37 a.m. Raj called to apologize, saying his alarm didn't go off. We were already on19th Avenue in San Francisco by this time. I feel I need to add what our experience was once we reached the airport. We had to find Long Term Parking for the first time, park, walk to the Air Train, wait for it to arrive, ride15 minutes to the Terminal, go through Security, where my husband's bag was gone through, then walk as fast as our legs would take us to the very last B gate, probably a quarter-mile, hauling our bags because there had been no time to check them. We made it to Gate B21 literally two minutes before the gate was to close. Our stress level by this time was off the charts. I will not be calling Raj again.

(Spencer instead of Manzanita) upon realization, the Airporter driver driver then rectified the mistake and recalled a pick up to the Manzanita stop. While waiting we found out I was going the same direction as she was going a little further than I was, towards the downtown area of Mill Valley. All the driver need do is pull over and let me out. We decided to pull our efforts and share the taxi. After we had settled in then made a executive decision that he was going to charge us the minimum $20 fare per ride - per person as he said it was per call. He said he was new at the company and he wanted to make sure that he was doing the right thing. That's $40 from a ride from Manzanita to downtown Mill Valley. Also my new friend didn't not recall that the taxi driver turned the meter over to create a new ride that merited the other $20 minimum ride fair when I exited the taxi on Miller Ave. It looks like this guy was skimming he made a call in to verify this, but am I wrong in thinking that that is really crazy and really exorbitant?? Felt like we were bamboozled. Watch out for brawny driver with the man-bun! Smarmy!

Last night I called the Mill Valley Yellow Cab number and made a reservation for an airport ride at 6:40 AM today. The time came and passed and no cab arrived.
