Marin Car Service is everything they promise to be and more. I have used them a couple of times with no problems whatsoever. Recently I was returning from Asia, we encountered delays, a lack of internet connectivity and an extra flight to get us back to SFO. I was able to send off a very quick note to MCS letting them know my new flight and I squealed with delight when I finally turned my US phone back on and had a message from our driver. I fully expected to be taking a taxi home but MCS made it happen! We waited to the last minute to book a ride from Larkspur to SFO and yet Brian was able to find an excellent driver to transport us. It was a pleasant and enjoyable ride with someone who is a longtime local. We had scheduled our return ride for later in the month - but due to a family emrgency we had to cut our trip short. My son and I needed a ride to SFO from Novato for an early morning flight. Since we needed a 5:00 am pick-up, a car service made sense. Of all the car services available to us, Marin Car Service looked the best one due to its cost which was comparable with others but was also all-inclusive with no additional fees, bridge tolls, or taxes. We got what we paid for. Booking was simple and direct, all on-line. Our driver, Brian, arrived right on time. His car was roomy, clean, and comfortable. He was an excellent driver, the trip to SFO was very smooth and much to our surprise, we learned that his route of crossing the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge to the East Bay and then across the Bay Bridge to 101 was faster than going across the Golden Gate Bridge and down 19th Avenue. Brian was very friendly and made the trip enjoyable. We arrived at SFO in plenty of time. The return trip was equally easy since we had already booked it when we booked the first one. I just had a perfect experience with this company. I took my family on a two week vacation and costed out offsite airport parking, Lyft and a couple of car services to drive us to and from the Oakland Airport. Marin Car Service was cheaper than parking and comparable to Lyft. We were flying internationally with a lot of luggage and two kids and I didn't want to worry about finding a Lyft to pick me up from home or the airport. i wanted a better, bigger, more comfortable car and more dependable service. . And that's exactly what we got. It was great. I live in a neighborhood that often confuses Lyft drivers' GPS and they're usually late, lost or even abandon my ride. That didn't happen with this company. They arrived right in front of my door a few minutes early with a beautiful Lincoln SUV. The driver was great- nice guy, good driver and helped me with all of our luggage (another rarity with Lyft). When we got home two weeks later after a twelve hour flight the same driver had left me a voicemail and text to let me know he was waiting for us at the airport. He was parked right out front and it was a huge relief to come home to such a smooth experience after a tiring flight with two exhausted kids. After several years of good experiences with various Marin Car Service drivers, we had an experience so scary a couple days ago that I felt the need to alert other potential customers. The business owner, Brian, came to pick my wife and I up from an international flight at SFO. He had our flight information and should have known that our flight was coming in about 30 minutes late. I texted him as soon as our plane landed, and again when we were through customs and had our bags, telling him which door we'd be exiting through as he requested. When Brian encountered us at the pickup point. He yelled (literally yelled) at me for not picking up his six phone calls to me. I told him I hadn't received any calls, and my phone didn't show any calls from him. He said he didn't believe me, and in an abusive way demanded to see my phone and berated me for keeping it in my pocket (which I had to do because we were carrying six bags, not that it's any of his business). He was so abusive and aggressive that I told him we wouldn't get in the car with him. He then threw one of our suitcases on the curb and yelled various profanities at us. He was so threatening, and frankly unhinged, that I told him if he didn't leave I would call the police, and then he said "I know where you live!" to my wife and me. How scary is that? I have never seen that kind of unprovoked threatening behavior from anyone I've done business with, and my wife was literally terrified. We then called an Uber XL, the ride was fine and actually cheaper than Marin Car Service. As I said, we have had numerous perfectly fine experiences with Marin Car Service drivers over the years, but this incident was enough for us to reconsider our options, especially since the abusive driver, Brian, actually owns the company. read more

I've been using Brian and some of the other drivers, such as Kiko, for over four years for transportation from Mill Valley to SFO and back. The drivers are always punctual and courteous and the cars are always clean. I've tried a number of taxi companies in Marin over the years and have ALWAYS been disappointing as the drivers are unreliable and the vehicles are old and/or dirty. Why take a taxi to SFO when for roughly $8 more you can hire Marin Car Service and know that the car will arrive on time, you won't be late, and you'll be riding in a clean, comfortable, spacious vehicle. Unless I'm driving to the airport on my own, I exclusively use Marin Car Service to get myself to the airport and to pick up friends and family. I highly recommend Marin Car Service. You won't find a more reliable, professional and reasonably priced car service in the Bay area! read more

The first time I booked this car service I had a 5am pick up and the driver was a no show. My husband had to wake the kids up and hustle to get me to my flight. The owner was very apologetic that the driver didn't show and gave me a free airport trip. So we gave it another go. On the way to the airport, my husband was feeling woozy so he cracked his window. The driver asked him to roll it up and my husband explained he gets car sick. So the driver got incredibly rude and said it hurt his ears and proceeded to blast the heat. The driver said "we are going to battle." He was basically being completely irrational and said "if he's going to have the window down, I'm blasting the heat because having the window down bothers my ears." I was like "hey my husband needs the window down and we are the clients." We ended up rolling the window up because we didn't want to exasperate the situation when we are at the mercy of this driver.
