In hindsight we could have brought our own bread, salad and wine or beer and that would have been OK. But the seafood was enough for us. Very low key, no frills, and the lobster couldn't be fresher. Love that kind of place for half the price of a lobster roll somewhere much fancier. We'll be back.

There's a tank of lobsters there, but we were going for oysters. There were 3 buckets in the refrigerator and some that had just come out this morning. We sampled one each. They provide a cloth and knife to do your own shucking on site, and some picnic tables to sit down and eat. We stood at the shucking station and chatted with the very nice and knowledgeable manager. These were larger than we usually prefer, but because they were so fresh and super clean, they were fine. Tender, sweet, and perfectly briny. All slightly different flavors, but all better than we had tried that day. As we were going, a couple of (knowledgeable) local folk came by to pick up some for dinner. The group then progresses down a path to the Riverside and dock where again, things are explained and the group is shown, the oysters that have been harvested and are awaiting their trip to the retailer wholesale place where they will be consumed... If you are looking for a very scientific and lab type of place that begins the whole process of oyster farming from spawning to harvest , this is not the place for you. If you are looking for an easy listen and semi interesting 1 hour tour where you get to learn how to shuck and get to taste some oysters at the end, you'll like this tour.
