I assumed it would need possibly a new contactor, fan motor, or they may even suggest it be replaced all together. They came the next day, found the problem and had it fixed within an hour. There was a second bad capacitor I had overlooked. They said everything else was fine and never tried to upsell me or get me to buy a new system (this one is 26 years old). $150 total bill. Subtracted one star since they were not able to provide same day service.

They didn't oversell the repairs, he diagnosed a bad A coil (leaked), showed what the problem was, and answered all my questions. Best of all, they got out sooner than expected with the new parts and the system is up and running, and it is running great. The house is nice and cool. I called several heating and coooling repair companies, and as expected, most were booked out since it was a cold day and many people were having issues. Then I called Edina Heating & Cooling and reached Patrick, who was very friendly and helpful. He agreed to come out that day to look at the furnace even though he likely wouldn't be able to repair or replace it that day. He showed up on time and quickly figured out what the issue was, and gave me options to fix something that the original installers had done incorrectly, or replace the unit. I decided to do the repair, and he was able to come back in the morning with the parts needed, and got it fixed in an hour, within 24 hours of my calling. Very happy with my experience overall.

There was so much damage that the unit was unsalvageable. An estimator came out that same day to talk to me about replacing the unit. It was over 15 years old so I was kind of expecting it. My furnace definitely needed tending to, and I realize replacing them both at the same time is typically recommended. The estimator did not pressure me whatsoever and I ended up getting a quote for a furnace and AC unit replacement. The quote was thorough and after researching everything, I determined it was a fair deal. I went ahead with the purchase and they were out a few days later to get the job done. I cannot begin to tell you how incredibly professional and personable everyone was. They did a stellar job replacing everything and I had no idea how big of a difference this upgrade would make. Additionally, the small details didn't go unnoticed. The new vent going outside, the thermostat and even the Rumpca sticker on the ducts were level and neat. I love supporting small businesses and this one has been around for as long as I can remember. I highly recommend Rumpca Services!

In fact from beginning to end the entire process was smooth. I believe we have found a new company to work with for upcoming needs. Friendly and professional service from Rumpca Services.
