    I love my new carpet...

I love my new carpet done by Mill carpets. If you are looking for Carpet, LVT and any other flooring needs you should pay a visit to the mill carpets. Best prices, best service and really quick turnaround. I am one happy customer. Thank you

Owner Dennis is rude, and unprofessional. We paid to have our basement carpeted, along with the platform for stadium seats. The laborer butchered the carpet, piecing it together stating he does not have enough carpet for the platform and stairs and that the measurements was off. We went out to the laborers van and found a roll of our 80oz carpet and padding 152ft x 57. We also measured 5 butchered pieces that also measured over 100ft each. The laborer called Dennis, who immediately asked if the balance of $230 was paid, when he told him no, Dennis then directed his attention to us, we attempted to explain the situation, informing him there would be no balance paid until our carpet was laid, kicked and seamed; Dennis then yelled out F$%%% you, and to told the worker to get to F$%# out of there. We have carpet partially laid, butchered remnants strewn about, stairs and platform undone. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, AND IF YOU DO, BE SURE TO PAY ONLY A DEPOSIT!

No complaints - I received a coupon in the mail - 3 rooms for 399.99... That got me in the store I guess. The 399.99 carpet is thin ugly gray carpet. The mid grade wasn't too bad (went up to 599.) I was told they needed the exact sizes of the room because I might come out cheaper buying remnant carpet and I could potentially get a better grade. Guy came out (showed up on time) to measure my rooms, I then went back in and picked out remnant carpeting and he threw in upgraded padding. From start to finish took no more then a week and Im very satisfied and even without the coupon I feel like the carpet was reasonably priced.

ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WORKMANSHIP. They had no problem being nice taking my money, but the install was horrible. They sent one guy and I guess he was rushing. Saw staples, uneven around edges, very poor workmanship. Then he never called when he finished, just left bcuz he knew the job was horrible. When I called to explain the situation, the man became so rude, yelling at me and very defensive towards me. Yelling that the man may have had a bad day and he has been with the company for 25yrs. I told him that he represents your company and you need to know the type of work he is doing in peoples houses. He only offer to have to guy come back the next day to fix, not caring that I had to take off my job again to stand over the guy to ensure he fixed the entire job. It's still not a professional look. Lastly, nobody told me that due to the thickness the doors would work. But he still took the doors off and just left then off bcuz they don't do carpentry work. So not I got all my doors off the hinges until I can pay another company to cut them down. Had I known in advance, I could have taken care of it. I will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND SUGGEST YOU NOT USE THEM EITHER. Where is the less than 1 star, bcuz that's what they deserve. BEWARE.

    Sloppy and spaces

Carpet choices are okay. However, they make several mistakes when it comes to your estimate. I was quoted $1498 for the better carpet for my entire home. Then they called back and said it would be $2498 because he didn't see some extra measurements on the back of the paper. I decided not to get new carpet in the basement, and upgraded to the best carpet and was I was quoted $1498 for two staircases, a living room and dining room. The carpet I ordered was in popular demand and I noticed he was cutting measurements down as close as he could to make it work for me and another customer. After I paid the $1498 and scheduled a day for the install, one installer came to do the job and it was sloppy. Not only was it sloppy, but he got there at 9 and didn't finish until 2. Then i had to go back to Mill and get more carpet. It is obvious where the seams are In the carpet AND they claimed I didn't inform them of my two staircases when I paid, which I did. He wrote (2) on the doc that had my measurements. Instead, the installer completed one staircase and said he didn't have anymore carpet because he was told one staircase. I called Mill Carpet and Dennis said I said one and I could come pick the carpet up for $298 and put in my car instead of paying an additional $100 if the installer comes. The guy who does the calculations (Dennis) lied about us not discussing two stairwells just to make a profit off of the last piece of carpet in that style because it was such a small piece no one would purchase. Like others have posted, they aren't a honest business and can be rude when there is a discrepancy. You think you're getting a deal, but you end up paying more than you were originally told and the installation is subpar for the type of carpet purchased. I purchased the "best" carpet and padding which feels nice but it was installed in a sloppy/rushed way. Only reason I gave them two stars (instead of one for my experience/customer service) is because I like the carpet color. AND I had to clean spots on the carpet because the carpet was brought to me with stains on it. No bueno. Go to a more professional and honest company OR make sure Dennis writes EVERYTHING you discuss on your invoice (measurements, rooms/staircases, total price, etc.). The invoice was vague so they can tell you one thing and later tell you something different.

The customer service was impeccable from start to finish!! The price was very affordable, so I will definitely be using Mill Carpets again!

I have been looking for quality flooring for a little over a year. I went to Lumber Liquidators, Floor Decor, Home Depot and Lowe's. But, either the quality wasn't what I expected for the price or the prices wasn't within my budget. A co worker referred me to Mill Carpets who had exceptional customer service and was very knowledgeable about the American hardwood in which they sell...not to mention the price was well within my budget. I definitely recommend Mill Carpets! Thanks guys!!

Dennis truly knows his carpets and he took the time to asses my every need (I can be picky at times) and made sure I didn't leave until I was 110% happy with everything.

They were late 2 out of 3 days without notifying me, and the job felt rushed. Yusef promised me a $500 discount. Later, he denied ever making the offer, and the manager attempted to reduce it to $100. The manager also implied that only his word matters, using an example meant to justify why the original agreement shouldn't count. Customers shouldn't have to figure out which employees have "authority" -- if an employee makes a promise on behalf of the company, the company should honor it. Something I learned after the fact -- and wish I'd known before signing -- is that in many flooring companies, salespeople work on commission, sometimes 5-15% of the total sale. Managers may also receive a commission override. Installation crews are typically paid a set rate or per-square-foot amount, which means the company's actual cost is often much lower than the customer price. In these setups, discounts sometimes come out of the salesperson's commission, which could explain why I received pushback on the agreed $500. I'm not claiming to know this company's exact pay structure, but it's worth consumers being aware of how this industry often works so they can make fully informed decisions. I ultimately received the correct discount, but only after unnecessary back-and-forth, unprofessional behavior, and an attempt to undermine my honesty. I cannot recommend this company to anyone who values clear communication and integrity.

Khan from 111 Carpets did call back, said he would be glad to accommodate me (it saves hauling it to the dump), told me where to pick it up (jobsite), and helped me load it into my car. The carpet is not fancy but it met my needs, and the price couldn't be better: free! Of course, my house interior needs better carpet than that and when I need it I will call Khan again. We figured out what carpet we wanted, and then started shopping around for the lowest price. We tried Costco's contractor. We tried Empire. We tried Luna. We tried Lowe's. We tried Home Depot. And then we tried 111Carpets. BINGO!!! Here are the benefits: *They are primarily a shop-at-home service, but they do have a showroom open by appointment. Which means, you can shop however YOU prefer. (We opted for the in-home, similar to Empire or Luna.) *There is absolutely NO pressure to sign a contract on the spot (unlike with Empire or Luna). * They listen to the customer. The gentleman who came to our home was incredibly knowledgeable, listened to what we wanted, and didn't try to persuade us that we wanted anything other than what we told him we wanted. *NO SUBCONTRACTORS. *No crazy waits while your carpet gets ordered like with Lowes or Home Depot, or many of the other smaller shops. *Added benefit of having a local company to call in the unlikely event that anything goes wrong. Having local service is SO important. 111Carpet also has an A+ from the BBB. *They were able to beat the lowest price we had gotten. If I EVER need flooring ever again, regardless of how big or small, I will only make one phone call. To 111Carpets.

As mom and dad always stressed, I always get at least three estimates/bids. The visit and estimates - I contacted all three flooring companies within a two-day period, mid-last-week. All got back within one or two days, but Melvin actually responded and came out same day. All three had good service on the estimate, offering suggestions here and there and so although I gave the edge to Melvin I was waiting on prices. Early the next week I received the three estimates and two were within $200 of each other, the third was $2,200 higher with no difference in materials or anything else on the detailed estimate. All three did a great job of detailing the work to be done and that made it easy to choose... to choose Melvin. The job - Melvin started the work last Friday, with two of his two-man teams working all day. Saturday and Monday one team worked all day. Tuesday and today they finished up. One team includes his brother, Milton, who did some fine craftsmanship work (see pics). Every day, the floor specialists were very special, great attitudes, polite, protected everywhere with plastic, moved my furniture gently, etc. They were perfect, it's not easy to get a skilled craftsman who also cares about the customer and customer service with a great, personable attitude. The job included four rooms and stairs: 1. Replace 26-year old vinyl floor in kitchen with faux-marble luxury vinyl. 2. Refinish oak hardwood in living room, family room, hallway and pine stairs - one coat of stain and two coats of oil-based polyurethane (Melvin explained during the estimate that although oil-based requires drying overnight/longer time, my 72-year-old hardwood floors deserve/need oil-based because water-based in not as gentle on brittle wood). Paint the stair risers white. The results - the clean-up was meticulously done and they refused to accept payment until after I assured them everything was perfect. Best part of it was I could tell they really cared about making me happy. See the pics. The darkish color on the stairs is just a photo/lighting anomaly as is the red color on the floors in the family room. THANK YOU, Melvin, for running such an amazing small flooring business. I will be calling when we get to the bedroom floor refinishing. Thanks to everyone on your teams for a job really well done!
