(I'm writing this review as I am sipping my delicious skinny latte). I'm not the only fan - this year Deluca won a two cups rating in the SMH Good Cafe Guide awards. The cafe has plenty of outside seating, but busy Botany Road is not the most scenic spot to take a break. Inside the spacious cafe is warm, cozy, and inviting. I'm a big fan of the large, communal table in the centre of the room. I have not yet tasted the food on offer, but the freshly-baked muffins were very tempting this morning. They have their standard menu and then a reserve menu, where they brew specialty, rare coffees for you and have varieties for both black and milk based coffees. I wish more places had this reserve menu concept, it was very fun to peruse and pick. The only disadvantage was our waiter was kind of pretentious, and I appreciate it when specialty coffee shops have more open and welcoming people. But the baristas more than made up for that - they were patient, kind, and generous with explaining where the coffees were sourced from and the flavors we should taste, absolutely must go and I will be back.
