Its a 30 min drive from Vancouver on the 503. We spent almost 3 hours there and still hadn't completed our journey as we were starving. So we said we would return another day. We had so much fun walking from booth to booth, admiring and finding something to take home. This place has something for everyone. They house new merchandise, vintage, and antiques and even crafts and fabric materials. I found a vintage Mickey Mouse hand crank music box ( aka Jack in the box), and a mirror for my home. This store was very accommodating, we had our arms and hands full, they offered us baskets to keep our items in. The baskets stay in a cubbie space by the counter. A nice touch. The only thing I would mention for the owners, is to have more staff during the holidays. But, such a fun place to get caught up in, "I want, I want, I want" lol

They also have a nice selection of matte choices, should your work require it, and different types of glass, from common window glass to anti-UV, anti-reflective glass for maximum preservation and visibility. They even throw in free picture hooks so you needn't rummage around or make a trip to the hardware store when you get your artwork home, which is a nice touch. Prices are not cheap, but then even cheap, junky frames are expensive and difficult to find nowadays, and the workmanship by Aurora is very good, and justifies the cost. Short answer: If you want an incredible piece of artwork,…read moretake the time to go to the wilds of Camas, WA and visit The Attic. It is one of my favorites. And, as an added bonus, the City of Camas is a delight! Longer Answer: I love artwork. I understand everyone has their own tastes. Mine seems to be eclectic. I own everything from original pieces, to vintage travel posters, to signed lithographs, to lots of treasures in between. And one of the best places in the Pacific Northwest to peruse, and purchase, all sorts of fabulous pieces you will treasure is in Camas, WA. It is called The Attic. Unless it is just a hop-skip away, consider looking at their website. I was enchanted! We stopped on the way to purchase a motorcycle in Portland when I mentioned I had seen something on-line. The gallery is fun! It is well lit and spacious without being too echo-y. It is not gigantic, although it is bigger than it looks from the sidewalk. There were several people there when we arrived, looking through the artwork and yet it didn't feel claustrophobic, yay! I also have a bit of a thing for quality customer service. I do not care for pushy, but I also do not want to feel I am some sort of an imposition by being there. Especially when you are talking about something as personal as artwork, and again when there are several potential clients who wandered in at the same time, that can be a tough situation to manage. The gals at The Attic handled it beautifully. I felt seen and acknowledged from the moment we walked in. Yes, I had to wait my turn, fine. When it was my turn, they could not have been more attentive, informative and appreciative. I ended up not purchasing either of the pieces by Earl Hamilton that I had found on- line. Instead, I purchased a completely different one by him that I absolutely love! I will also say I think I showed wild amounts of restraint by not buying several other pieces I fell in love with that day...at least not yet... ; ) The Attic knows their artists. They know their inventory. They love what they do. How cool is that? I will inevitably be back. Visit their website and/or their gallery. I believe you will thank me.
