I would drive across state lines to get my car serviced at Miles Auto Center. This business deserves 10 stars. Eduardo, the owner, has helped me the three most recent times I have needed maintenance on my car, all of which he fit me in day of. He is honest, helpful, real, and goes out of his way to make sure you get the help you need and deserve, AND for a great price. (PS: for females out there, this is a place that will treat you like a real human. If you know the struggle, you know.) The first time I visited Miles Auto Center my car couldn't hold oil and I wasn't sure what the issue was. I had already attempted to resolve the issue once at a different auto shop where they told me it was a leak that they 'fixed'. Not even a week later, my oil light came on again. Eduardo taught me about my own vehicle, helped me order my own parts for a cheaper price, and walked me through all the possible causes and solutions. He solved my problem first try and charged me a fraction of what other auto centers bid me for a diagnostic and repair. Turns out it was an over consumption issue, not a leak, and was a decently easy fix. I, just now, literally an hour ago, dropped my car off after a failed road trip attempt due to unknown stalling when I reach low RPMs. I limped my way back to his garage and Eduardo welcomed me by name and told me he'd get me taken care of. Even though he had other cars in the lot, he pulled mine into the garage immediately, got back to me in less 45 minutes with the cause and solution, and told me he'd get me back on the road in just a few hours. He even called a friend of his to collect the part for me. I'll honestly never go to another auto center again. This is a legitimate, kind, human-to-human interaction valued business that I'd recommend to anyone and everyone. I've never had a better business experience. read more

These 5 star reviews are no joke! Ed feels like your dad fixing up your car in the best way, he's got your back and is incredibly reliable! I've gotten used to other places up-charging me for an oil change because my car does use synthetic oil, but then I came here and it was like when Velma finally finds her glasses, it's clear now that some places are making you pay ridiculous amounts for mediocre work, while also taking advantage of the fact that I'm a woman and don't know much about cars so they'll definitely try to sell me something I don't need. But Ed... Ed is the equivalent of the Mystery Gang solving a case, just without any of the villainous aspects. Ed is the ANSWER! Incredible value, as a mechanic and as a person. Every single time I've reached out to Ed for help, he's been available, able, and so incredibly kind. Every. Single. Time! He's so kind and supportive and funny when I walk through his doors. This is all I should really have to say: This place is so terrible I signed up for yelp to let other people know! Miles Auto Center should not be trusted, if I could get them a 0/5 star rating I would. At the beginning of the year, they had somebody from their shop selling service plans for $60. Thinking it would be a good investment over the course of the year, I purchased it for my girlfriend and I. $60 was supposed to provide me with $400 worth of service. Now, before you disregard this review, saying, "well, it's your fault idiot for signing up for that." I completely agree with you. This is not where my anger stems from. I am in complete outrage right now because the owner just told me that they are not affiliated with "Varsity Auto Service Promotions". Huh, that's funny Eduardo, because there is a picture of your business printed on the service voucher! He said the guy wasn't from his shop, well that's a bunch of b.s. because the guy came over covered in oil, and car grease. Yes, that doesn't prove anything concrete, but it tells you that this place endorses scam artists. After completing the voucher, (which didn't amount to free oil changes as promised, you had to pay for the oil and they charged more than any other place would for charge) I called the 800 number to get my $60 back as promised, and the number is out of service. The owner of Miles Auto, Eduardo, claimed no responsibility. He claimed to only have talked to "varsity auto service promotions" once and had no deal with them. He claims to never had paid them anything, which doesn't make any sense, because this so called other company wouldn't be doing free advertising for you. I need to get my car serviced before I drive across the country, and I WILL NOT BE GOING HERE! With the interest of the people of boulder in mind, I truly hope Miles Auto center fails out of business. If I had more time and resources I would try to do more about this, but for now all I can say is PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR YOUR OWN SAKES!!! read more

I have gone to this place as several times. The first time it was reccomended by a friend. I was having car issues and have one of those expensive to repair german cars. My friend who also shares my issues with german cars reccomended this place b/c they know german cars well. With my first issue I panicked and went to a few places closer to home the first one could not figure out the issue and the other place had 3 expensive options. As soon as this place was mentioned to me I jumped on it. Turns out that I had 1 small part that had to be replaced and its was HUNDREDS of dollars cheeper then what i thouht it was going to be. I now take my car there for everything oil changes and anytime one of my sensors goes off and my car starts beeping at me (luckly its been nothing). They also let me know what other services I need or do not need, or ones I can wait on etc. Which is nice b/c when I used to take my car to the dealership I was always told I needed all this services urgently. I am a female so I am always worried about being taken advatage of, but after going there a few times for oil change etc. you can tell the owner is just one of those guys who wants to help. read more

As a longtime bicycle shop owner I have a lot of customer service experience regarding mechanical issues. Eduardo is exceptional in terms of customer service and the quality of his work. I've been going there for years and if there is a nicer, more knowledgable person in the vehicle repair business I've never run across them. He explains everything and goes out of his way to save you money. I referred a friend to him and while a dealer had quoted $3K for work, Eduardo knew a better way that only cost 1/3 of that. Miles Auto Center has renewed my faith in mechanics. I stopped by for a second opinion regarding repairs needed for my Corolla. Elmer was respectful, understanding, and knowledgeable. Another shop told me I needed new brake pads, among other things. After looking the car over, Elmer told me my brakes had plenty of wear left and just needed minor repair. I was happy Miles Auto Center didn't take advantage of my naivete about cars. They gave me a fair price for the repairs and finished earlier than promised. Miles Auto Center is the best place to go for any repairs needed on your car. The staff there is very friendly and efficient, they do good honest work and at reasonable prices. I got my oil changed at the Grease Monkey and about 3 days later my car had 1 quart left because they screwed up putting the filter back on. Miles Auto found the problem and fixed it right there. I would recommend Miles Auto Center to everyone. As long as I live in Colorado I will always take my car here. Best place in Boulder hands down. read more

I've been going to Miles for 16 years. First they kept my aging 1999 Isuzu Rodeo running like a dream for 300,000 miles, and now they look after my wife's 2008 Civic and my 2008 v8 4Runner. As a former mechanic, I can attest to Ed's experience and skills. He is above the bar in every respect. As a customer, I can speak to his kindness and honesty. He's an all around amazing mechanic and business owner and as long as he is in business, I'll never go anywhere else. Lastly, I want to leave an anecdote as to his ability. Last week I took my 4Runner in for it's 90k maintenance. I mentioned alignment, which Ed cannot do in at the shop because they don't have an alignment rack. He said, "I'll take a look anyway" After I got the truck back, he told me he had tried to "Eyeball it" and made some manual adjustments, but thought I should still take it to an alignment shop to get it aligned properly. I took it to a neighboring shop and asked them to align it for me. 10 mins later they handed me the keys and said "This car us perfectly aligned already. There is nothing we can do to make it better." So, there you have it. Ed is so damn good at his job, he manually aligned my truck sans laser guided alignment rack. read more
