Previously she helped me through fertility and uterine issues, and even did a surgery on me that was hugely successful. It's been 5 wonderful years under her care. I cannot recommend her enough. Her team always respond within 24 hours, she calls me if she thinks I'm very worried, and she always orders extra tests and procedures to give me peace of mind. She gives lots of guidance, education and options for her patients, and is strict on non-negotiable things to ensure we get better. The last time I saw her I was 38 weeks pregnant and I almost cried seeing her because I just felt so safe and seen. The only thing I don't like about Dr. Zeng is how tired she looks and how tirelessly she gives to her patients. It pains me to see her work so hard and I hope all her patients know how rare her type of doctor is, how great she is and appreciates her and her wonderful team.

I would just like to say thank you to his medical assistant Jazmyn, she made me feel such at ease! She was so friendly and upbeat, she also was very informative about the process of the appointment. Every appointment I had throughout my pregnancy she was so thorough and you can just tell she cared! Same goes for Dr. Rittenhouse! I felt very at ease being under his care. I like how he was very straightforward and direct. He would address any concerns and always explained everything thoroughly. I had a c section and it went so smoothly and quick!Dr.Rittenhouse kept assuring me throughout the process. Post partum I needed to take blood thinners and I was having some issues with my insurance covering them so I explained that to Dr. Rittenhouse. He didn't hesitate and right away he was able to help me resolve the issue and also explained & gave me tips for at home care via text. My point is, in the past I've had such impersonal experiences with doctors and that was NOT the case with Dr. Rittenhouse. I wish he could be my primary doctor as well! Lol. So I would just like to say thank you so much for caring for your patients!!

This clinic cares more about the insurance carriers than it does its patients. Both my daughter and I are patients here, and I recently left the practice due to the absolute disregard for womens' health. My new OB says a Pap smear every YEAR and she actually spends more than 7 minutes with me. It's ironic that they call themselves the Women's Health clinic. They care about anything but that. AVOID!!!

Initially I was apprehensive about seeking cafe from such a large treatment team with the understanding that any one could deliver my baby when the time came. However, I felt the care I received was responsive, timely, really thorough and informed. They didn't leave me in the dark when I had questions and they were always straight forward with me when I had concerns. Come delivery time, they were equally responsive. I had a team of residents supervised by a midwife deliver my baby, they did an excellent job! The nurses in postpartum care were also equally caring and informed - I loved how they all knew that we had a 5 year old waiting for us at home. I just can't say enough good things about the prenatal care. The lactation consultants also are equally amazing and if you schedule an appointment to meet with them they take a fully 1.5 hrs with you to help trouble shoot what issues you may have. They really are amazing. The only issue I have - and this seems to be a national one, not just related to UCSF - is that the post partum cafe is definitely lacking. I felt really forced to wait u til my 6 week appointment to see any of the MDs or NPs for a concern. They tend to bump these issues to an advice nurse and even then I felt somewhat unsettled.

You receive a binder with lots of prenatal info. You weigh yourself and take your blood pressure and add it to your chart. Healthy snacks are provided. We took glucose and blood tests as needed, and were offered flu shots. Each patient/couple has a 5-7 minute individual consultation and exam each session. The baby's heartbeat is checked, and you are measured for growth. You can bring up any concerns you have, and you may be asked if you'd like to raise them in the group. During the group we discussed monthly topics such as birth control, labor, nutrition, stretches and exercise, getting in and out of chairs, etc. Other issues arose and we discussed them too. As due dates approached, we met twice a month and then after the group ended, those who hadn't given birth had appointments as neceesary. We had a reunion a month afterward to meet each others' babies. Crystal and Suzanne Seger were amazing leaders. I was nervous about not having an OB when people asked, but I got excellent care.

They said it was something new and they were the only hospital in the area doing this. I wasn't really thrilled about it but my husband wanted to do it since this was his first child. We signed up and were put in Susan Seger's group on Wednesday mornings. I wasn't sure if this would work out since on appointment days I would only be able to work half a day since meetings were from 9-11am, but my job was ok with it so off we went. They give you a book for your pregnancy where you can track your weight and bp. You go in the appointment and they have snacks. You weight yourself and do your own bp and then write it down in your chart. It's run by a midwife and she would see a few people before group started and then a few during break. I actually ended up really liking the group environment. You go in once and month and talk about how your feeling, symptoms your experiencing, and how your baby is progressing. The midwife answers questions but also asks people for their opinions on things. Its nice being able to talk with other pregnant people about being pregnant and see how they are handling things. They teach you stretches that help with pregnancy related pains. They explain about all the different birthing options UCSF offers and pain management options for labor. They also explain about all of the classes UCSF offers as well. There is no stupid question there and they will answer anything you are wondering or concerned about. Towards the end of pregnancy you start going twice a month. This was definitely a different experience from having my son and just going to a dr visit and being checked, asked if I had any questions and being sent on my way. I don't think I would do this again when I do have another child, but it was a nice experience and I think it's a great thing if your having your first kid. Susan was great and I would recommend her to anyone using the Woman's clinic in daly city. She seemed to have a lot of experience. The only thing that kinda sucked is she isn't able to be there for your birth unless you have your baby while she is on duty in L&D.
