We contacted Miki's Team for financing our home loan following the strong reviews here on Yelp, and it paid off. Out of the several initial queries sent out, they were the first to respond, which helped us get the loan pre-approval purchase ready while the sale of our old house was still pending, so we can hit the ground running for the much scarier purchase process. Given the red-hot Seattle real estate market where the right house may be on the market only a few days or even hours, responsiveness and quick turn around are critical here. We mostly worked with Josh, who quickly ramped us up on the available loan structures and we had a pre-approval letter in hand when we needed it. Josh's approach to communication is confident but never pushy; you get a sense of having an expert broker working by your side and in your interest. I've also been impressed with the speed at which Josh (as well Matt and others we interacted with) executed as they guided us through the application/approval/underwriting process. Josh has been quick to respond to any of my questions with clear and concise explanations, and made sure to send reminders of some docs I was missing; all in all we kept to a good fast rhythm with the process and stayed comfortably within the closing schedule. Prime Lending is the place to go and Josh is the person to work with. We came across them based on a reference from one of the realtors who we were interviewing, while we didn't actually work with that realtor but we sure thank him for getting us in touch with Josh. At our very first meeting we talked at length about what we were looking to buy and our budget and financial constraints. Josh then took us through the details of the home buying process and how mortgage fits in. Based on our needs he then quickly created a few custom quotes (he uses video presentations too - which is cool) giving us a range of what we could aspire to buy. He also gave us insights into how we can structure our loan and closing to better position us (very useful). This group was very very awesome throughout my process. I work 3rd shift and they worked around everything going beyond and beyond for me. Joshua Sanford especially would answer a call at any time, work around my sleep schedule and get everything done promptly, it was a fantastic experience. I had several run ins with others before settling in, and here's how you know i'm not a bot, the people that i delt with before were just straight douchebags. I'd tell them my work schedule and i'd get a call at 230- 4 in the after noon "hey were you sleeping, oh well, anyways... "... They had no regard for my schedule. In March 2013 my wife and I (as well as our not yet born child) were first-time home buyers. Miki made the whole process very easy and transparent. Matt and Miki were great. We had to make multiple offers along the way and each time they were lighting fast. The offer that we ended up winning with was a pre-emptive offer we decided to make at 3pm with a 10:00 pm seller decision deadline and Matt turned around the preapproval in 2 hours. He also was helpful in navigating an unusual credit issue when in mid-closing Experian suddenly thought I was a minor and wouldn't issue my credit score. We needed the score to get approved and Matt both worked with his reseller and coached us on how to get Experian to update their records with my correct birthdate.
