We chose Chris's as a recommendation from a contractor who has worked with many of our family members on home renovations and repairs. Also we love to support local businesses. The kitchen was installed March '15 but we did not move into our home until June '15. I gave 2 stars because the cabinets are very pretty and turned out exactly how I wanted them to look. They are simple white shaker style. We have a 12x12 kitchen and had only upper/ lower cabinets and a refrigerator box installed. No trims or island or anything fancy. We spent over $14,000 on just the cabinets. We also used them to order our Ceasarstone counter tops. I went in to Chris's with a picture that I had drawn of exactly what I wanted my kitchen to look like. I just needed someone to make it happen. While the experience with the representative/designer was just ok I was willing to look past that for a beautiful custom kitchen. Once it was installed we were given one chance to let them know if anything wasn't up to par or needed fixing. Our representative very adamantly told us there would be a $150 charge after that if we saw anything else of concern. We had them fix one drawer that didn't roll right and that was it. We really weren't sure what to look for and trusted that they did their best job. Once we moved in however, we began to notice that the construction wasn't up to par. Not to mention that I was very specific when ordering the countertop and requested sharp corners not rounded. Request not granted. Because of the hassle of ripping up and reinstalling the counter (which is what I should have insisted happen) I let it go. The point is that I don't feel like I was listened to by the representative. Almost immediately upon moving in, the rubber dots on the drawers and doors started to fall off. They were yellow and discolored to begin with. Like they were old. We've lost and replaced about 90% of them. We even found some in our toddlers mouth that we didn't notice had fallen off! We also noticed that our garbage drawer was off and sort of shimmed when constructed. Whatever screws they used to install the handles are not flush and the paint is chipping wherever a screw touches the wood. Lastly we already have paint chipping and cracking in some places. Maybe that's normal wear and tear but I don't believe we should have to repaint our cabinets after 3 years. We thought about writing a letter to the company or calling our sales representative but didn't think we would be heard. We are upset about the quality and construction of our cabinets but we learned a lesson. We could have saved a lot of money by going to a big box store. We are local business supporters but for our next kitchen we will take our business elsewhere. I've included pictures of the poor construction. They might seem like small things but to us the small things matter.

Needed a broken cabinet drawer repair. Was contacted by transformation shop Michael. Quickly…read moreaccepted the task and gave a reasonable quote. Job from contact to finish was about 10 days. I was amazed as to the quality and workmanship. Received a finished drawer that was a upgrade to the quality of wood that drawer was originally crafted. I received top quality job/workmanship. Michael was a personable and didn't leave without ensuring things were okay with him and me. Truly a rare find in the world today.

I needed a kitchen wall cabinet and microwave installed. The cabinet looked like it was falling…read moredown so I needed it fixed before installing the microwave. I had several people that offered to help. When one person tried to get the cabinet fixed, it fell apart. I had to find new cabinet. I could not find a 30 x 16 wall cabinet. 30 x 18 was too big. I got a 30 x 14. Several people, who I now call idiots tried to install the new cabinet, cutting holes in all the wrong places. They also marked up the wall and ceiling in the wrong places and drilled holes all over the place. I'd had enough. Beside not knowing what they were doing the stove was moved out if the way. I had no microwave or stove to cook. I put a request on Yelp and a savior named Michael the owner of the Transformation Shop replied. After I told him my horror story he said he would look at everything and see if it could be done and give me a quote. Two days later he showed up said he could fix it all up and gave me a very reasonable quote. I accepted the quote. Instead of setting up a date to fix it, he jumped right in and started work at once. It took him about 2 hours and it was completed. I was so excited. It was after 4 when he arrived so I thought it would be several days before I could actually cook in my own kitchen after a month trying to get this work done. I had a microwave and stove and my kitchen looked fabulous. I thanked the good lord for sending Michael to save me from a total disaster. He was great to talk to, he asked my opinion on options, and most of all he listened. I could not be happier or more excited than I am. My girlfriend stopped by and she was amazed at how great it looked and was functional. Thanks Michael for a great job. I'm sure I'll be calling you again.

We purchased flooring from them, the purchase went great, but the installers for our carpet was…read moreterrible, the people that came out came late, there was three of them, they dropped one guy off, I felt sorry for him, he had one good hand the other had been hurt in an accident, they never returned till late that day, while this one guy, installed all he could by himself, he apparently was mad because he kept going out to smoke and our camera's picked him up cussing like a sailor. I called in complained and they just blew me off, not good, when the did come back they said they would be back to finish tomorrow, 2 days to do 2 small room and stairs, smh. The next day they returned and did the same thing, left the poor guy here to do all the work, come to find out it was the older gentlemens son, he had remarried to a young girl and they all ways do this to them. What who they give you to install your carpet. not good.
