Extremely RUDE. I called and before I was able to explain what I needed done, he replies "I'm very busy right now what do you need done to them?". Probably not the response you want to give a potential customer. Then after saying no problem and that okay, he proceeded to say "well what do you need done to them". I didn't want to give business to someone who provided such a rude response. So I guess he got upset and hung up in my face saying "okay bye". Looked for the best cleaners on Yelp and guess what. I found it. Needed my suit pants to be let out just a bit. Mike hooked me up. He was straight up. Told me he would let them out as much as he could. It was perfect. I just need about an inch and he got a little over that. Then the final test. The cleaning of the suit. They did an outstanding job on that. The suit was, just like new. I was very happy with the whole experience which is Mike's Tailoring. I will definitely be using Mike again. Called Mike 2 weeks ago to ask if he could help my son out by altering the suit jacket for his upcoming graduation. My son lives 4.5 hours away from me so I had to find him a local tailor. Mike and I spoke briefly and he assured me that he could get it done by the date we needed. My son went by, had Mike take the measurements for the jacket alteration and today it was ready, as agreed. My son said the alteration was exact and he was happy. He also charged us very reasonably. Pleased all-around. If my son needs another alteration in the future, Mike's the guy. read more

I truly do not understand how Mike has been in business so long, and how he has so many good reviews. I am active duty Army and went to him to get my uniforms altered for an upcoming promotion. He was slightly rude- he wanted to argue semantics about what I wanted done, rather than simply and kindly inform me of what he thought I meant/the correct terminology. He also made it seem like my expectations were unrealistic-I expect the patches to be neat, even, and straight. I thought he was rude but was already there and thought he had a good idea of what I wanted. And I figured he can have an attitude but if he does a great job, It'd be okay. I called him on the day he said my uniform would be done, and he had forgotten who I was (not a big deal, since I'm sure he has a lot of clients). When he looked me up, he admitted to not having even started on my uniform, but said it would be done in a few hours. When I went to pick them up, the top looked okay but the hat's patch still was way off- I'm talking an obvious wave in both the top and the bottom of the patch. He asked what was wrong (but in a rude tone) and I told him. He basically treated me like a silly little woman and said again, that I was being overly particular and that no one else would notice. I said I notice-isn't that enough? I explained that I have to look professional, and he basically rolled his eyes and said he'd get to it once he helped his other customers. One of these customers asked if he could come in the next day to receive the item, and Mike said, "Whatever." He didn't give him another reply besides that. So rude! In hindsight, I wondered if maybe he was rude to me because I'm a woman, but my husband was there for the drop off and also agreed that he was rude. Additionally, the client to whom he said "whatever" was a male. A third customer was there and Mike said something along the lines of, "I've been doing this since 1987 and people still doubt me." I really do not understand how he is still in business with the way he treats people. So I had him alter the hat 2 times in this one day, and it still is not right but I was sick of his attitude and he made me uncomfortable with his anger and frustration. I hated paying him for inferior work, but I just wanted to get out of there. I just do not understand people who work in customer service and are rude to their customers. Additionally, if I am paying you for a certain expectation, then what is the problem? Do what I ask or I will take my business elsewhere. So I am out the money and will have to get it altered elsewhere, but lesson learned. read more

Awful service, awful work, and rude. Sixty dollars later and my suit jacket is finally how I intended it to be. Thirty dollars from mike who did a less than satisfactory job. And thirty from the person who altered it correctly. When I brought it in to them they asked me if I had brought it to a butcher. They said who ever had done it was not a tailor. Mike is rude and lacks basic customer service skills. When I brought it my jacket he scoffed that it was a uniform jacket and said it didn't matter how it looked because it was for work. That should have been my first indication to leave. He also complained about the tedious work that was required to sew on stripes. I find it baffling that a business owner complains about receiving work as well as tailor who doesn't have the patience to sew on a patch. However being a previous customer to him and putting his attitude aside I mistakenly continued with his service. The whole process took about four weeks for him to complete. I had to call literally 5 times to ask if it had been completed. He had either forgot or just simply didn't care. He was apologetic each time. However this was highly inconvenient and unprofessional. When I finally picked it up I was very disappointed to see how it had turned out. It was obviously rushed and done without care. He sad sewn an extra piece inside the suit to lengthen the sleeves which was unnecessary and uncomfortable. It also made it impossible to properly iron. The stripes I wanted sewn on were uneven and spaced at varying length. It was a terrible job by my account as well as by the tailor who had to redo it. I have been a previous customer to mike however this experience was more than unacceptable and needs to have attention. I recommend you search elsewhere when you want your article of clothing tailored. read more

I love Mike! I have never taken something to him that he was not able to alter, seemingly magically! His work is superb and his prices are even better. He's very good at what he does and I continue to take my clothes back time and time against so far he has successfully hemmed a dress, taken in a pair of high waisted jeans, and completely changed a jean jacket that was much too big to fit perfectly.
