I have used laundromat twice before I found this place and it was not a pleasant experience. Places were smelly, nasty, dirty and equipment was aged. Using Tropical Laundromat was completely different experience. Place is very clean, staff is very friendly and while I agree with comment below that not allowing using carts outside is an inconvenience bottom line is for the better . That helps keeping place clean. Today on Christmas Eve I was there doing my laundry and I've got a little Merry Christmas goody bag with this note in. Very thoughtful. Highly recommend! read more

The service and the attendant's attitude could improve. On Thursday March 27, 2025 at noon, I dropped off a comforter to be washed and dried. I went to a doctor appointment and returned approximately two hours later and my comforter was still laying there on the counter. The attendant said she still hadn't started on it yet. When I asked her to return my money she got a very nasty attitude. Two hours and she did nothing. What was I supposed to do? I took the comforter to Coin Laundromat on A1A and the nice attendant there said come back in 90 minutes. I went back 90 minutes later and the comforter was washed, dried, folded, and bagged, ready for me to take home. Sorry Tropical Laundromat, but Coin Laundromat will get my business from now on. read more

Nicole, the very pleasant attendant was so helpful when I needed to select the right machines for a very heavy queen quilt. She was actively cleaning and shining the stainless steel appliances the whole time I was there. Clean operation. Good music in a mix playing. I especially like how she helped people with overflowing baskets through the front door. read more

Had a bunch of laundry. This laundromat will not let you use their carts to take laundry from outside to inside. Staff didn't help. Crazy hot out and toting tons of laundry without assistance sucks. I rarely use a laundromat, but when my dryer broke and it was laundry day, well I needed to find something. I'm glad we found this place. A little pricey, but worth it compared to the other options that are available. Clean, friendly, music in the background, baskets to help move laundry and folding tables, TV, chairs, and a restroom. I would give this laundromat a 0 if I could. It's way over priced for do it yourself. The washers are a dollar more than I usually pay. The dryers require $1.75 just to start. Usually it's a quarter and add as you like. 1.75 only buys 30 mins. I pay 1.50 for 42 mins. The folding table was so dusty dirty while she is cleaning the tv and walls. She yelled and screamed at me for complaining. Before all of this she offered me $5.00 off for a 5 star review. Too expensive and the WOrST customer service. read more

This is a nice clean laundromat compared yo others but the price for the wash and dryer are a bit more as well. You can't have everything but cleanliness wins over the price. Clean Laundromat, not in a sketchy area. But it was my first time here and thought it very convinient to use my debit card for the $7 washer fee rather than getting a bunch of quarters. Wrong! They put a $15 hold on my card. I asked the ladies at the desk why theres a $15 hold when the washer is only $7, and why are there not multiple signs warning people of this? They informed me that there are signs. I went around and looked. The ONLY SIGN stating that there is a $15 hold put on every card IS ON THE COIN MACHINE! I would have gotten quarters had I known that, but since the only sign is on the quarter machine that I obviously wasn't using, how are people supposed to know this PRIOR to swiping their card? Extremely inconvenient, and I have to say unprofessional. Some people need to be very careful with their spending, and there's an $8 difference in what I thought my card would be charged, and the hold amount, which is now $8 less I had planned to have in my account. I suggest you put clearly marked signs on top of all of the washers, or a large sign on the wall so you do not get anymore upset customers concerning this issue. Had I known about the hold, I would've just gotten quarters with the cash I had on me. Not happy about this at all. read more

While out in DB for a 2 week work trip, we had the need to do some laundry. After struggling with reviews and recommendations, we opted to try Tropical. I've been in some laundromats over the years and usually fell more dirty when I leave then when I arrived. This is totally a different experience. Shawn (sp?) was very attentive and helped us find a washer/dryer that met the size we needed so we didn't waste any money. The facilities are immaculate and we were amazed when we watched her clean on top of the vending machines and scrubbed the washing machine dispensers with a tooth brush. A plus is they also accept debit/credit cards at each machine. No lugging around quarters! read more

The workers regularly clean everything multiple times while waiting for your wash and dry. They also offer a wash dry fold option if you're too busy to stay. read more

After having my dryer break down I was in desperate need to dry my clothes. I came here an hour before closing with a small load that would take 15 min to dry. I was told that I had to be there an hour and a half before closing to start a load. I informed the lady that all I had to do was dry a load and then it would take 15 minutes, and that I really really needed to get this done. She more or less told me I was out of luck and that I couldn't do it. I will never come back here again...I don't care if it was the last laundry mat on earth. I would rather wear white underwear that step foot in this place again. Horrible service, May I suggest you find a laundromat that actually cares to take your laundry to. read more
